Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership dimensions on the pedagogical competence of madrasah teachers. Using quantitative methods, data were collected from 67 teachers using non-probability sampling techniques and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that idealized influence positively affects teacher pedagogical competence, meaning that the higher the idealized influence, the better the teacher's pedagogical competence. Conversely, inspirational motivation has an adverse effect, indicating that the lower the inspirational motivation, the better the teacher's pedagogical competence. Intellectual stimulation also has a significant effect; the higher the intellectual stimulation, the better the teacher's pedagogical skills. Individualized consideration has a significant effect; the greater the individual attention, the better the teacher's pedagogical competence. Collectively, these four variables affect teacher pedagogical competence. An important finding is the adverse effect of inspirational motivation, which may be due to a lack of support, limited training, or teacher preference for a more relaxed teaching style. This study provides implications for the importance of a balanced leadership strategy in madrasahs, emphasizing the role of idealized influence and intellectual stimulation in improving teaching competence. Schools must provide more professional development opportunities and create a supportive environment to improve teachers' pedagogical skills.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of instructional leadership, knowledge of educational management, work motivation, and job satisfaction on the organizational commitment of school principals. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, this study systematically measures the influence of independent variables on organizational commitment. The technique used in sampling is proportional random sampling. Data analysis involves validity and reliability tests, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to assess direct and mediation effects. The results show that educational management significantly affects organizational commitment, but this effect is negatively mediated by job satisfaction and work motivation. Although good management can increase motivation and job satisfaction, it does not continually strengthen organizational commitment. Instructional leadership also affects organizational commitment, but job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship, indicating that other factors may play a more significant role. In addition, work motivation negatively mediates the relationship between instructional leadership and organizational commitment. These findings provide important implications for educational policy and practice, emphasizing the importance of strategies that not only improve leadership effectiveness but also consider aspects of job satisfaction and motivation to strengthen the commitment of school principals in carrying out their duties.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is expected to encourage positive changes and improve management quality so schools become more responsive to the demands of the times. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on management innovation in Islamic Senior High Schools in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach and survey design, this study involved 150 respondents, consisting of teachers and staff in selected schools. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using regression analysis to test the relationship between transformational leadership and management innovation. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership has a significant influence on management innovation. School leaders who apply an inspirational leadership style have been shown to facilitate the implementation of more effective managerial practices. These findings indicate that leadership that motivates and empowers teachers and staff increases their creativity and participation in the innovation process, ultimately improving the quality of education. This study recommends developing a more effective leadership model to encourage sustainable management innovation in these schools. In addition, this study also provides important implications regarding the role of leadership in creating an environment that supports innovation in schools.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of superior accreditation ratings as a moderating variable in improving the quality of education in study programs within the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia. The research addresses how accreditation ratings influence program performance and enhance educational quality. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to 194 study programs, selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS path model. The findings reveal that accreditation ratings positively affect study program performance, demonstrating a significant correlation between accreditation and program performance to enhance educational quality. Furthermore, accreditation ratings effectively moderate the relationship between quality standards and program performance, although accreditation alone did not significantly impact educational quality. These results suggest that superior accreditation ratings catalyze study programs implementing higher standards than the national minimum, leading to improved performance. This research provides important implications regarding the role of accreditation in improving the quality of education and can be a reference for policymakers and education managers.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of teaching quality, campus facilities, and student engagement on academic performance and the moderating role of student engagement in the relationship. Data were collected through a survey of 185 students and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results showed that teaching quality and student engagement positively and significantly influenced academic performance, while campus facilities did not have a considerable effect. Student engagement did not moderate the relationship between teaching quality and campus facilities on academic performance. This model explained 68.4% of the variation in academic performance and had good prediction. These findings emphasize the importance of teaching quality and student engagement to improve academic performance, while campus facilities have limited influence. The practical implication of this study is the importance of focusing on improving teaching quality and student engagement to improve academic performance. Educational institutions are advised to implement interactive and project-based learning. Although campus facilities are essential, their influence on academic performance is limited.
