Abstract

Research area is located in Ambulangan, Banjar regency of South Kalimantan province. The research is aimed to indentified and mineral inventory of Iron Ore deposit, as well as primary or secondary type ore deposit. Morphology of the area is generally covered by hilly volcanic terrain with elevation below 650 m above sea level, the drainage pattern is mainly sub-parallel.Litology of the study area is covered mainly by Cretaceous rocks consists of Sediment, volcanic and andesitic intrusion. The iron ore occurred as primary and secondary type deposit. The primary type is exposing as vein like structure of approximately 6 m width and 50 m long, where as the secondary type is exhibiting as boulder or lateritic soil. Chemical analysis of primary iron ore indicated the ore grade is about 66.37% and 62.99% for secondary iron ore.

Abstract

Coal outcrop in Menukung area and Nangapinoh met in Melawi basin. This basin have experienced of several tectonic causes coal seam folded and faulted.Result of measurement entire coal outcrop shown strike between N 240°E – N 315°E with dip between 5° until 10°. Based on contruction result strike pattern known distribution coal in surface with orientation Southwest-Northeast and dip orientation Northwest, North until Northeast.dengan demikian sebaran batubara controlled by homocline fold structure. Based on strike and dip data and kind of geology structure that controlling it, so that known in northern research area have potention good enough.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the western part of Java Island is known as a place with very diverse culture. There are 3 provinces in this region, namely West Java, Banten, and Jakarta Capital Special Region with more than 40 million populations. Sundanese is a main culture within this region, where focal area is around Bandung City. It is accompanied by 3 other subcultures, i.e. Cirebonese (around Cirebon City), Betawinese (Jakarta City and surrounding) and Bantenese (around Serang City).Geomorphological configuration of the study area is characterized by mountainous to coastal plain areas. It implies to the characteristic diversity of culture for every community including the development of local languages. This paper is aimed to map the relationship of local languages diversity (dialect) with their geomorphological conditions in the study area.Result of the study shows that Sundanese people commonly speak humble in polite manner and live on mountainous to hilly area. The Cirebonese speaks rather Javanese combined with impolite Sundanese and lives on the northern Java coastal plain as transition area between Sundanese and Javanese. Betawinese speak rather impolite and live on the coastal plain around Gulf of Jakarta. Bantenese speak rather impolite and live on coastal plain to gentle hilly area. This result suggests that there is relationship between the characteristics of utterances of people with the nature they live on.

Abstract

Gunung Badak area, Ciletuh Bay, Sukabumi is area that has a rare diversity of rock at West Java region. Morphology of this area is interesting enough for one of the aspects of tourism, especially geological asptect (geotourism). This reveals the general geotourism potential in the Ciletuh Bay area. Method used in this study is a survey directly in the field and a review of some aspects of the geological literature Ciletuh. There are three groups of objects geotourism that can be developed in this area, namely: Amphiteater Morphology of Ciletuh Bay; Mandra Island; Manuk Island; Kunti Island and Lava pillows; G. Badak and G. Aseupan.Management and effective supervision are required to develop this potential to be geotourism, considering this area is part of Nature Reserve Cibanteng. Development potential to the south towards Ujung Genteng geotourism quite well developed for tourism towards the coast, and the green turtle protection.

Abstract

Central Sumatera basin controlled by an amount of regional stike-slip fault (wrench fault) moving on transtensinal system. Overall srike-slip pattern forming as negative flower structure, yielding horst and garben. This tecotonic process happened in Early Miocene.Graben forming begin the sedimentation process which indicate the coarse clastica deposit existence that goes on fluvial environment. This deposit equivalent with Sihapas formation that have an age of Eosen. The Sedimentary basin had a subsidence continuously till Middle of Miocene, that indicated by developt marine sedimentary rock.In Plio-Pleistocene, the uplifting processes is happen again that cause forming of fold and fault structure. Tectonic compression cause the research area more shallow and then become a continent. This is indicated by developted conglomerate, sandy conglomerate, tuffaceous sandstone which forming in continent.

Abstract

The geological distribution of iron ore in the area of research is relatively east-west with the thickness varies between 3-10 meters. Configuration subsurface geology of the results obtained with the method of exploration geophysics dipole-dipole and geomagnet. From the results of the exploration can be concluded that the distribution of iron ore almost evenly in all the track in the depth of 20 - 30 meters
