Focus and Scopes INTEK Jurnal Informatika dan Teknologi Informasi (INTEK) is a peer-reviewed Journal of Information and Computer Sciences published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. This journal publishes two times a year (May and November). INTEK is a media for researchers, academics, and practitioners who are interested in the field of Computer Science and wish to channel their thoughts and findings. The articles contained are the results of research, critical, and comprehensive scientific study which are relevant and current issues covered by the journals. Abstract

PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul general hospital, including hospitals that have used a computerized system in the process of service to patients. One of them in the registration system. Although already using a computerized system, but there are still obstacles in its application, such as the length of the queue which results in delayed service or patient handling. Seeing these conditions, this study aims to design a patient registration system, especially on-site online outpatient services. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, which illustrates how the application of outpatient registration information systems in hospitals. Data collection is done by interview, observation and literature study. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that using the website can simplify the online outpatient registration system.

Abstract

Stored data is increasing in volume. Various data compression algorithms have been researched and developed. The purpose of this study was to compare the performance of the Huffman Algorithm and the Shannon-Fano Algorithm. A comparison of the performance of the compression algorithm is done by testing each image file. The application used to test was built using C ++. Four image file types will be tested using the application that has been built. The file being tested considers the image file type as a compression object. The current image file tends to increase in terms of file size. The results of testing the four image files obtained contain many symbols and frequencies in determining the value of data entropy. The same file tested using the Huffman Algorithm produces better compression gain. The Fish.bmp file uses the Huffman 2.0% algorithm and uses the Shannon-Fano algorithm 1.7%. The greater the entropy, the smaller the gain obtained. For example, the white.bmp file entropy: 0.19693 using the Huffman Algorithm can gain 85.2%. entropy Fish.bmp file 6.87332 can get a 2.0% gain.

Abstract

Current population information is an important part of an area. UU no. 32 of 2004 regulating regional autonomy shows that the quantity of population must be increased from all aspects. Bantul Regency has a majority of population systems at the dukuh or RW level that have not yet been computerized. Currently the obstacle faced is inaccurate information. the government has difficulty in providing counseling, development stimulant funds and welfare of various real sec-tors. Other problems aim to facilitate the implementation of reconstruction and rehabilitation of dukuh or RW-level areas. Pedukuhan Plawonan has ten RT. Currently Plawonan hamlet has approximately 1000 counts of souls consisting of various ages that are still not well recorded. This research intends to overcome these problems. This research attempts to complete using the Relational Database model. With SIMDUK that has been built by the RW, the village can easily obtain the required information quickly, precisely and accurately.

Abstract

The new building of Muhammadiyah Purwodadi High School has no wireless LAN (Local Area Network). So the teachers and employees at the office have no mutually inter-connected parts. For sure this is very inflexible and would also interfere with the convenience of the mobility of these employees. The purpose of making the design of wireless LAN networks is the solution to resolve the problems that exist in the new building of Muhammadiyah Purwodadi High School. The method used is the Waterfall method and software Cisco Packet Tracer. Stages of the Waterfall method approach consisting of analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and system maintenance. The result of the design of wireless LAN in the new building of Muhammadiyah Purwodadi High School arranged systematically to help the performance of the servicemembers to be more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Schools as a place to forge students to become people who are ready to welcome the 21st century. 21st Century projection factors indicate the ability of literacy, one of which is technology literacy. Schools are required to familiarize students with the application of information technology. The method that can be applied is by digitizing the School. SMPN 4 Pakem has begun digitizing education with various steps and efforts. So it is necessary to study the digitization process and its impact on increasing existing resources. The method used in this paper is through several stages. The initial stage is observation, which aims to see the activeness of the parts that have been digitalized. SMPN 4 Pakem implements education digitization through several sections, namely website, library, and evaluation and assessment system. The SMPN 4 Pakem website has become a medium of communication and information sources both internal and external. SMPN 4 Pakem Library implements library automation to improve services to users with the help of information technology-based applications.

Abstract

Agricultural land is currently increasingly narrow, so agricultural technology develops hydroponic crop models. The microcontroller in the Arduino UNO unit is also growing so that the Internet of Things technology is increasingly rapid and widely used in life. The problem of narrow land used for plants requires soil moisture as needed. This can be solved using Arduino UNO as a data acquisition system and the YL-69 sensor as a soil moisture reading tool.This study aims to implement the YL-69 sensor and Arduino UNO to detect whether the soil media used in the hydroponic plant model is moist or dry. The sketch used is Arduino 1.8.0 software. Then the Fritzing software is used to create a circuit schema. The series tests were performed on both dry and wet soil conditions. This research was in the form of a watering plant prototype. When the dry media is detected, the sensor will send data to the Arduino UNO unit, then the microcontroller on the Arduino UNO gives instructions to the Mini Submersible Water Pump to irrigate the soil.The results showed the YL-69 sensor was able to detect dry soil conditions. Data sent to the serial monitor is in the form of a data string that is "Dry Conditions" or "Humid Conditions". This means that prototypes of watering plants and measuring soil moisture have been successful. However, further research is still needed to find out how much moisture the soil media. So the prototype can regulate the performance of the Mini Submersible Water Pump in delivering water to plant media.
