Abstract

Krajan is located about 20 km from the summit of Mount Merapi. The main problem in this village is the Community-based Drinking Water and Sanitation Program (PAMSIMAS) which has played a role in meeting the community's clean water needs, but has not been able to be used economically by the residents despite having abundant mountain springs. In addition, water problems arise especially during the rainy season, where water does not meet quality standards so it is not suitable for consumption. To optimize the use of springs that have an impact on green economy activities as well as improve people's welfare, the PKM Team of the IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta applies a (PLTMH) in Padukuhan Salam-Krajan, Wukirsari, Cangkringan. PLTMH was developed by utilizing abundant springs. By utilizing the water discharge from the water input (inlet) flow to the PAMSIMAS reservoir, the electricity generated can be used for street lighting as well as building ready-to-drink water installations using the electricity network from PLTMH. Based on the evaluation of the activity, the implementation of community service activities that harmonize the needs of partners with the competence of the Team is a very good model for implementing community service activities, so this kind of model needs to be continued. This PKM activity is able to provide opportunities to support the implementation of development that is oriented towards environmental and ecosystem aspects, able to improve the welfare of rural communities, plan sustainable development, a green economy, overcome poverty and produce ready-to-drink water products.

Abstract

Saka Granola are produced by KWT in Salam Krajan, Wukirsari Village, Cangkringan Sub-District, Sleman, DIY. The production process is still using very simple tools and the product quality still needs to be improved. This is impact on low number of consumers and marketing is still not widespread. Therefore, the PPK Ormawa team, HIMASTA, Statistics Department, Institut Sains & Teknologi AKPRIND Yogyakarta provided assistance to the program to increase the variety of Saka Granola products. The program is carried out during August-October 2022. The forms of assistance include providing training on how to process cocoa into cocoa powder, training in cooking new food products, assistance in producing new products, and marketing. The new product variations have been accepted and are in demand by consumers. These partners have also been able to innovate to develop chocolate food products, increase production, and market.

Abstract

Community service activities have been carried out by a team of volunteers from Universitas Negeri Semarang, namely providing training for female cadres and housewives, especially those in Brongsongan and Kiyudan hamlets, Wringinputih village, Magelang district. The training was in the form of making liquid organic fertilizer using leftover vegetables and fruit peels. The content of the material has taken into account the increasing amount of household waste throughout the year and the absence of proper management of household waste. The results of interviews and discussions that have been conducted show evidence that this training is beneficial for cadres and housewives. The results of the interviews showed that the cadres and housewives did not know that the leftover vegetable and fruit peels they threw away could be used to make organic liquid fertilizer. Next, the results of the interviews and discussions showed that the cadres and housewives were interested in making organic fertilizer from leftover vegetable and fruit peels. Positive responses were given by the participants, thus this illustrates that the training on making liquid organic fertilizer using household waste media is very useful.

Abstract

Hypertension is no longer just a health issue in Indonesia; it has become a global issue. Globally, hypertension has risen to 74,5 million people. According to Riskesdas 2013, the national prevalence of hypertension is 25.8%, with only one-third of those diagnosed having hypertension and 0.7% having a higher risk of developing hypertension. The purpose of this research is to educate people about hypertension and how to prevent it. The method used in this study is community diagnostic, in which participants conduct a lengthy survey to learn about the primary health issues that are occurring in the study area. Paired T-test was used to compare respondents’ knowledge pre and post intervention. A survey conducted in Desa Sungai Sirih RT 20 RW 07 Kuantan Singingi found that people's desire to live a healthy life has a significant impact on the level of hypertension in the area. Following that, priority health issues and interventions will be prioritized. The use of posters in hypertension education is recommended in order to increase public awareness. The knowledge of the respondents after the intervention was significantly increased compared before intervention. Education about hypertension should continue in order to improve the prevalence and effectiveness of hypertension treatment.

Abstract

Submission of tutorials for the socialization of making liquid laundry soap through multimedia videos followed by direct practice by viewers is easier to do. Meanwhile, video editing is done using Adobe Premiere Rush software, producing good pictures as well as sound. One of the problems in managing an orphanage is how to prepare the residents of the orphanage to live independently after graduating from high school and not living in an orphanage anymore. The solution is to provide formal education in science through formal schools, and additional education on morals and religious worship by the Foundation. Apart from that, it is very necessary to provide insight into entrepreneurship to provide motivation for the willingness to be entrepreneurial or self-employed to foster self-confidence in being able to live independently when one day after leaving the orphanage. As an implementation through the practice of making liquid laundry soap which is easy to make and has a promising economic value. on a home industry scale. From the research results, there are about 85% of the profit earned for each liter of laundry soap produced, when compared to liquid laundry soap sold in packages that already have a name. The resulting liquid laundry soap can be used to open a business selling laundry soap liquid or as a raw material for the type of business receiving laundry. With this provision of skills, it is hoped that it will be able to lead the young residents of the orphanage to be able to live independently after leaving the orphanage in the future.

Abstract

Putat Wetan is one of the Kapanewonan Wonosari in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. It is a tropical area with many kinds of plants. Candlenut plants (Aleurites moluccana) thrive in the Putat Wetan area. So far, hazelnut fruit is only used as a spice in the kitchen, while the fruit is veru much. So that it is necessary to develop a candlenut processing into a product with a high selling value. One of them is made of hazelnut oil. There are various methods for making hazelnut oil, one of which has been practiced at Putat Wetan. The training for making hazelnut oil is carried out by taking the coconut milk and then heating it so that it will release the oil by itself. Coconut milk is taken by blending and adding water to take all the coconut milk in the candlenut. The results obtained from 250 grams of hazelnut fruit will produce approximately 45 ml of hazelnut oil. Keywords: Candlenut Fruit, Candlenut Oil, Putat Wetan, Warming Up.

Abstract

Partners in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are Attaqwa Darussalam Mosque Youth, Klenggukan Pundang Tirtomartani Kalasan. The partners' main problems are digital literacy knowledge and low utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The purpose of PKM is to provide reinforcement to mosque youth regarding digital literacy, assistance in website development and management. The solution to overcome problems with partners is through training methods including (1) Operation and maintenance of ICT equipment 2) Digital literacy which includes efficient searching and internet safety, 3) Positive content creator through personal blogs and social media. Furthermore, the PKM Team also provides assistance so that target partners are able to develop positive content through 4) Website design that is informative, attractive and up to date. The result of this PKM is an increase in digital literacy knowledge in mosque youth, the website of the Attaqwa Darussalam mosque is www.masjid.klenggukan.com.

Abstract

Punthuk Ngepoh Tourism Village is a tourist village located in Banjararum Village. The pioneer in the formation of this Tourism Village was the Arum Jaya Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS). Based on data from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia, there is the most amount of waste in household waste, namely 65.15%. So, there is a need for socialization activities for the Punthuk Ngepoh Tourism Village community. The method used in this activity is the delivery of material, understanding and knowledge by calculating the level of community understanding before and after the material is carried out, by distributing questionnaires. The target of this activity is the community of Punthuk Ngepoh Tourism Village, Banjararum Village, Kalibawang District, Kulon Progo Regency. The results obtained through this activity are that there is an increase in community understanding by 47% in the scope of knowledge about healthy homes, by 33% in the scope of knowledge about the conditions for healthy homes, by 20% in the scope of knowledge about the benefits of healthy homes, and by 67% in knowledge about the application of healthy homes

Abstract

Member of the dasa wisma group RT 06 Dusun Niten, Nogotirto, Kapanewon Gamping, Sleman  still grates the coconut manually, so the grated coconut yields 6 kg/hour. To increase the grated coconut with a larger capacity, the Dasa Wisma group needs a coconut grater machine. The AKPRIND Yogyakarta Institute of Science & Technology community service team provided training and handed over machine assistance to the dasa homestead group RT 06 Dusun Niten, Nogotirto, Kapanewon Gamping and provided training on how to operate and maintain coconut grater machines and how to store grated coconut properly. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge to the dasa wisma group RT 06 Dusun Niten, Nogotirto, Kapanewon Gamping how to operate, maintain the coconut grater machine, and store the grated coconut properly so that the machine lasts longer and the grated coconut doesn't rot, and the handover of a coconut shredding machine with a capacity of 40 kg / hour. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that Dasa Wisma Members and community members in RT 06, RW 12, Niten, Nogotirto Village, Gamping District, Sleman Regency can operate, maintain coconut shredding machines and be able to increase the production capacity of grated coconut by 800% when compared to using manual labor and can store grated coconut properly, so that it is expected to improve the community's economy. Community members positively assess and agree with this community service activity.

Abstract

ommunity service activities in this program involve partners from the Lucky Farmers Group in the Penjambuan Village area, Sungai Tabuk District, Banjar Regency. Implementation of activities held in the area of agricultural land. The service begins with the procurement of centrifugal pumps and automatic motors to take advantage of the rotation of the engine along with the necessary equipment, to be assembled and then carry out counseling on the use and maintenance of the water pump machine.The results of this community service program are very useful for Penjabuan Village, Sungai Tabuk District, Banjar Regency because by procuring a water pump from an automatic motor, it provides a solution to problems in partners, namely the Lucky Farmers Group to be able to drive horticultural agriculture in a sustainable manner, not relying on rain-fed and can provide equipment water pump to help prevent peatland fires around the area.
