Abstract

A study of epic theory and its aplication (social realism) is an attempt to search a set and several epic methods which invented through the Tuk’s plays of Bambang Widoyo SP creation. This article will begin from a study of epic theater and its existence generally and its point of view related to social condition which inspires and pointed its audience either. This article traces and focuss on both the relation and its impacts among social realities and theater expression, and its relation to validity of the social realism’s theories (epic theories) in the theater. According to this article, the Tuk’s play of Bambang Widoyo’s creation will be analyzed from its structure of Tuk’s plays itself and its texture. By the end of this article, the Tuk’s plays of Bambang Widoyo’s creation may inspires the audiences through its tracing’s attemption of epic theory in the plays itself.Keyword : epic theory, theater, social criticism, structure, texture

Abstract

This art design study was inspired from Keris which is known as a World Heritage and received a honorary as a Masterpiece of The Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity from UNESCO. Recently the speed of enlarge information demand this nation to extend information about Keris to public. Multimedia interactive has been choosing, which is use computer function to create and join link and tool that possibly user to do a navigation, interaction, recreation and communication. More specific about multimedia interactive, this is designed with kiosk base. Kiosk is an information system base on computer that put in a place who can be access by public, offer access to information or transaction for a group of user constantly with various anonym, use a short time dialogue and user interface that typically simple.Keyword : Keris, Multimedia Interactive, Kiosk, Public Information

Abstract

This article is a part of research result about Architecture Profile of Prince’s fashion: “The Artistic Value of Interior of Dalem Wuryaningratan of Kasunanan Palace Surakarta”. The research objective is to reveal the artistic value of interior of Dalem Wuryaningratan. The research result shows that in the matter of the artistic of its interior design, dalem pangeran always oriented toward symbolic classification based on two, four, and eight. The view of classification two always manifested with kiwa-tengen, atas-bawah, or loroning-atunggal is always combined with something bigger and absolute. The view is not contrast; it is a relationship between two different things but it is harmonious. The balance controller is a point in the middle (the third point) which is absolute or God. Symmetric conception in interior element design shows the meaning of harmony. The conception is a manifestation from the meaning of balance with a purpose to reach the harmony of live, which means living harmoniously each other, living harmoniously with nature, and living harmoniously with God. The dualism conception is reflected in the room structure, door, window and colonnade/saka arrangement, and even in the structuring of furniture.

Abstract

Jaranan is a piece of dance tradition belonged to Lencoh village, Selo district, town of Boyolali in Central Java. The existence of this dance tradition kind of thing has a special reason to be researched and it’s attemption to expose a relationship among misticism and a saveral aspects of the living society itself. Through this article this research will strives the object in depth based on a discipline of anthropology in order to examine interrelation amongst a set of value belong to the village society which is supported way of live into them. From this domain a set of meaning simbolized and accompanied their way of live instead on balance values, and commnal values which is formed by their own costums, historicism, and spirit. According to this article mentioned an ethnographic method with strong emphases into several attemption optimalization of balance pattern founded by misticism values itself. In other way, it focused on the existence of jaranan dance tradition as a little tradition arts had relationship with religiousities view an misticism entirely could be studied by a stressing its cultural text can not be separated by anthropological aspects of dance studies. It will means Jaranan as a little dance tradition can be studied in the whole misticism aspects in the Lencoh village itself.Keyword : misticism, Jaranan dance, symbolism, society, ethnography
