Abstract

The multimedia applicatiton, its aesthetic, and its contents are threechotomy which is inherent to the interractive education planning. All of these must be have an equal function if a developer wish to have an optimal results to the education process. This research will explore the keris as a multimedia materialapplied to the education process. This also contains an applied creation which is combine between keris education 's contents and an aesthetic of multimediaa material. The creation of “keris multimedia material" is not only given to the information purposes, but it also to have a contents in what kind of edutaive efiectwill working by using humanism approach. Educative applied materials are presented by difierent ways, because of it especially seen into the aesthetic media applied.Key words: multimedia, education, keris.

Abstract

A leader in this regard is the head of the village is very instrumental in developing the potential existed in his village. This research studies about the role of village head in promoting traditional arts, especially in the village of Banyusidi, Pokis, Magelang. Central Java. The research method is qualitative with multidiscipline approach. The result of this study is that the village head has u role in advancing the potency of traditional arts in the village. Thefirst is the role of village head as a motivator, that is by giving his people motivation to be able to develop the arts‘ The second is village head as a facilitator providing the opportunity for people to run the arts. The third is to become a patron and decision maker for his people. With those three things, then, head of the village is believed to promote traditional arts in his village.Key words: role, leader, traditional art.

Abstract

This article examine an aesthetic and arts as an anthropological facts related to human being culturally perfected. Originally this article has been presented as a research paper for seminar of aesthetic and arts productivities belonged to marginal ethnic in the Indonesia Institut of Arts in Surakarta, Central Java. Based on a arts productivities and aesthetic production factually this article will strives a relativities of arts product and aesthetic product through the anthropological consepts of culture. There were strong relation according to intercontextual of the termonology of arts itself, the forms and aesthetic products. Abstract

the concern of tradition which is often said ancient becomes an idea of various arts. Tradition that is oftenly considered to be given things, one of them is penanggalan Jawa (Javanese calender), is sometimes ignored if is observed tradition of penanggalan jawa is still very closed to the society's social lives. Some daily activities are unconsciously planned based on the Javanese calender. Traditional is many times executed ritually. Sometimes people forget to inherit its phylosophy and use. Documentary film is one of audio visual media genres used to mediate the tradition preservation ad return which is essentially becomes a great heritage. Abstract

City branding is an ejfort to establish the identity of a city. ldentiql is a construction. a consequence of B process of interaction between people, institutions, and praxis in social life; o place/region which bring:its uniqueness and may appear difierently from its competitors not only in slogans or tagline but also in its ability to ofier something which is unique and dtflerenl, crystallized as a strong identity in the customers‘ perception. Solo Batik Carnival is a creative industry that produces “symbolic goods ” in the form of ideas, experiences, and images. The event is hold as on effort to construct the image which represents the city of Solo as a city of Batik and makes the city of Solo a marketable city. Thus, SBC has a dual function. Apanfrom an attempt to potent batik culturally and oflirm brand Solo as the City of Batik, SBC also can function as a showroom or storefront that oflers a unique batik Solo as a unique selling proposition so that it can be used as a tourism pmmotion event of the city of Solo in national and international scale.Keywords: Solo Batik Carnival, City Branding, Identity

Abstract

Randai is an art unification of movement, vocal. literature, and theater: Chairul Harun. in Pustaka Msata Budaya qfRandai Minangkabau, describes that Randai has existed through a long historical joumey sine:twentieth century. Randai more develops in the area of Darek. It is an area in central West Sumatera thatbecames a center af Minangkabau culture development. Randai represents a dance of people in gmup moving toforrn a circle, dancing while singing and doing applause and mainly presenting a story. As one of the dance cultures that becomes an icon afMinangkabau society, this research would like to convey theaesthetic substantion adhered in Randai. The aesthetic aspects that would be studied include the aspects of harmony, purity and clearance, as well as unity aspect. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find a model of Javanese power structure by using the perspective of structuralism, Levi-Strauss. Material object of this research is the history of the pap-Islamic kingdom in Java Starting fmm Demak, Pajang and Mataram Kingdoms, this is certainly an the contrary of theassumption of theoretical structuralism which makes history only supplement and not part of the data analyzed. The model structure is then transformed into lakon Wahyu Makhutarama. The source data used in this study consists of two types of data that is written data obtained fmm the writings that have beenrecorded, and research reports. Both data sources are the result of an interview recorded with a tape recorder. The results of this study indicate that the model is dialectical Javanese power structure consisting of elements of thesis, antithesis. and synthesis. The model is transfarmative to puppet stories in particular lakon wahyu Makhutarama in the Java power system, shows the dialectics of power in establishment of genealogical and transcendental.Keywords: Javanese Power, Structural Levi-Strauss, Dialectics
