Abstract

An experiment was conducted at experimental field of BBHAT, Cikole Lembang, West Java District, West Java, on elevation of 1.250 m above sea level, from July to October 2008. The objective of this experiment was to study the Yield Response of Sweet Corn on the Phosphate Fertilizer Rates in Lembang Andisol. The design used was a Randomized Block Design with five treatments and five replication of A = without phosphate fertilizer, B=75 kg ha-1 P2O5, C= 150 kg ha-1 P2O5, D=225 kgha-1 P=O5, E=300 kg ha-1 P2O5. The result of experiment showed that yield response of sweet corn on the phosphate rate in Lembang Andisol is quadratic form. Maximum yield of corn cob with husk per plant of 575,24 grams per plant was obtained at the optimum phosphate rate of 190,7 kg ha-1 P2O5. This corn yield is equivalent to 22 tons ha-1 higher than the potential yield of these sweet corn variety. Soil-available P increased with increasing rates of phosphate fertilizer, reaches a very high criteria.

Abstract

Town Calang besides area settlement location also as Calang municipal administration center with various activity of economics society. Around this area there are also fishery activity and fishpond as Coastal area fisherman society living of Calang. Effect of existence of Tsunami and earthquake have resulted changing coastal morphology where so that have resulted the resignment of coastline as for ± 100-200 m. Besides have eliminated coastal area, Tsunami have also eliminated some of joint streets pass by quickly Banda Aceh-Meulaboh which have location around this coast. Coastal protection of Calang and Krueng Sabee desides conducted with coastal building development, is also planned by coastal protection brand involved.  Coastal protection involved represent bekt green with Coconut crop cultivation and Mangrove. Coastal Protection made in which suited for applied at this study location is breakwater building. Result of calculation from economic analysis, this development within 25 years at interest rate 24% estimated to have NPV equal to 1.018.582.359,72 net B/C 1,131 and IRR is 26,89%.

Abstract

The objectives of this experiment was to study the interaction between NAA and alginate concentrations on growth and shelf life of Chrysanthemum morifolium Rahmat Syn. Micro cutting in capsule. Design of this experiment used Randomized Block Design with two factors and two replication. The first factor wa concentration of NAA consisted of three levels (0.00 ppm, 0.10 ppm, and 0,15 ppm) and the second factor was concentration of alginate consisted of four levels (1.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 3.0%).the result of experiment showed that interaction among concentration of NAA and alginate on capsule texture, plant weight, leaves number, leaves weight, and shelf life of plant in capsule. There was no interaction between concentration of NAA and alginate on percentage of green capsules, percentage of micro cutting shoot growth, and percentage of capability of shoot growth break through capsule. Optimum concentration for plant weight was 0.1281 ppm NAA and 2.4671% alginate, with maximum weight was 0.0145 grams. Optimum concentration for shelf life of micro cutting in capsule was 0.1191 ppm NAA and 2.8071% alginate, with maximum shelf life was 5.9541 days.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the effect of storage time in 0.9% NaCl solution on sperm quality and the degree of fertilization goldfish, using a completely randomized design with 7 treatments consisting of sperm storage duration 0 hours, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours with 3 replications. The result showed that the goldfish sperm storage duration 2 hours still has a higher value of motility and the degree of fertilization. While the value of motility and the degree of fertilization lowest found in sperm storage duration of 12 hours. The deadlinefor sperm storage period goldfish 6 hours still have good motility value of 60% so it still possible for the process of fertilization and hatching.

Abstract

This experiment was aimed to know the interaction between organic fertilizer and planting distance to growth and yield of rice cultivation with SRI method cultivation conducted in Gunungmanik Village Tanjungsari Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency, the experiment started from December 2009 until April 2010. The experiment design used was Plan of Plot Divided, with 12 treatment combinations consisting of the main plot of organic fertilizer (a1 = chicken manure a2 = sheep manure, and a3 = compost of market waste). The subplot is plant spacing (b1 = 25 cm x 25 cm, b2 = 30 cm x 30 cm, b3 = 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm, and b4 = 60 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm). experimental results show the interaction between organic fertilizer and plant spacing on growth and yield of rice on the cultivation of SRI method. The use of plant spacing of 60 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm, followed by provision of 10 tons ha-1 chicken cage gave the best growth against the number of tillers, the number of productive panicles per clump, the weight of 100 grains, and the weight of dry grain harvest per plot. The use of 60 x 30 x 15 spacing followed by 10 tons ha-1 chicken farming and 60 x 30 x 15 plant spacing followed by market composting of 10 tons ha-1, yielded the highest dry harvest grain.

Abstract

The research objectives were to discovered how’s Lumbricus rubellus and Organic mulching able to replenished soil physics characteristic of Inceptisol Karawang. It also been studied that soil loss to water erosion is able to be predicted by using these parameters. As a results, linearly Lumbricus and mulch were abled to reduce bulk density value, and also soil permeability. These research practices is one of tools to predict level of erosion. Moreover, Lumbricus and organic mulching are “eco-friendly” agent in a system of soil tillage-less.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of rising feed prices on the use of feed, pond productivity and business income of tilapia fish enlargement. The research method used is a periodical survey of indigenous fish farmers with census techniques. The analysis technique used is multiple regression with the rank function model and one way variance analysis. The data used in the form of panel data from 2009-2010. Based on the result of research, it is found that the increase of feed price has an effect on decreasing amount of feed usage (demand), decreasing of pond productivity and business income
