In order to support the decision making process effectively and efficiently, a lot of companies invest in information technology for data management and storage. The information technology is emphasized in data storage of daily transactions in large numbers in a medium, so that data can be easily processed. Online Mobile Repository System is a system that uses a temporary storage system which is practical and can be accessed online. Thus, the system simplifies data access and organization anywhere and anytime. The design of this system uses the methods of literature review, interviews, field studies, and combined design studies. The research results in a data storage system which is organized, safe and structured to support the meeting process.

The Catholic diocese of Parramatta is well-known as the first established Catholic Church in Australia. It is the most recently completed Cathedral in Australia, designed by Romaldo Giurgola. As a foreigner, he was successfully applied the historical values and symbols of Catholic tradition shown on the design’s elements and forms throughout the Cathedral. This paper explores the design of the Cathedral Church of the Catholic diocese of Parramatta which is influenced by works of other architects such as Utzon and Van Eyck. The use of natural light and different materials’ quality in the interior and exterior of building are few of the design’s elements applied in the Saint Patrick Cathedral.

International employment standard requires higher quality of graduates, which can be achieved through high quality academic standards. As we know there are still a large number of graduates of Indonesian higher education rejected to work in global industry. Besides having low GPA, lots of graduates are considered lacking technical skills, interpersonal skills, and international experience. Indeed, the main weakness factor is the low English proficiency of graduates. We need a breakthrough that develops our academic standards of higher education to obtain international quality. Yet, there are challenges to face by the government, such as rebuilding the national system (establishing elite institutions), internationalizing higher education (globalizing the institutions or cross-border trades of education services), as well as enhancing private participation by repositioning the private sector. To overcome these challenges we need to build a strategic partnership of transnational education using online programs, which can obtain mutual benefit for the collaborating institutions. This article discusses about how to increase academic quality of graduates in Indonesia or in other Asian countries.

A parking area is built in a building to facilitate vehicle users of the building. Based on this, Binus University planned to build parking area in its several campus. One interesting issue to explore is the parking capacity at Anggrek Campus. The purpose of this study was to determine the saturation levels of parking for the existing condition compared to the addition of new parking area. To perform analysis turnover parking calculation is used . Based on research results the number of cars entering Anggrek campus was greater than the volume of available parking at the campus (turnover = 1.58), so there was a lot of trouble to find a parking space that makes parking users find alternative parking spaces such as parking area 52). However, since the 8th floor parking area functioned, the turnover rate reduced to 0.54 which indicates that there was a saturation level decrease of 65%.

By utilizing the augmented reality technology which now develops well, a card game system design and the game prototype are created on through this study Android-based Smartphone. This study is expected to increase the children’s interest to play cards in a modern way, to be utilized as a reference material for business actors in the world, and to be an alternative facility for marketing officers to market their products. The scope of this study is limited only to the system design and the prototype making of the game. The combination of waterfall methodology and a game design by Jesse is used in this study. From the results of the study it is concluded that the augmented reality technology is able to make the game more interesting.

The objective of this research is to develop a web-based-online-stock-simulation application applying Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology. The web-based application is prefered for user’s convenience and comfort since it does not require any software to be installed on the client side and is also accessable anywhere and anytime with internet connection availability. The application is developed by means of analysis and design towards the technology needed to establish the connectivity between servers through internet as well as database analysis and design. The data are real time derived from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and forwarded through an official data vendor PT XYZ. Data from the IDX will be captured by a middleware application at PT XYZ and forwarded to www.kontan.co.id. This application has been tested and succesfully run by around 700 users. This tool is expected to provide a kind of education and motivation to beginner-level investors who want to be engaged with the stock-trading activities.

Slum areas are likely found in many cities in Indonesia although the government through the Ministry of Public Housing have rolled several programs to alleviate its existence. One example of slum areas is found in Payakumbuh, West Sumatra, where its land are mostly owned by local traditional folks knowned as ‘ulayat land’. A huge amount of poor houses are built on rented ulayat land. Regarding to the rent status, the housing arrangement on the area faces difficulties. Therefore, this article would like to give an overview of problems in the slums arrangement in Payakumbuh as well as giving some concepts for dealing with the problems associated with such land status owned by adat.

Efficiency or the running time of an algorithm is usually calculated with time complexity or space complexity as a function of various inputs. It is common to estimate their complexity in the asymptotic sense, i.e., to estimate the complexity function for arbitrarily large input. Brute-force algorithm is the easiest way to calculate the performance of the algorithm. However, it is not recommended since it does not sufficiently explain the efficiency of the algorithm. Asymptotic estimaties are used because different implementations of the same algorithm may differ in efficiency. The big-O notation is used to generate the estimation.

The research aims to change manually the monitoring and controlling of oil well pumps into a computer-based system using SCADA (Supervisory and Data Acquisition) system. To design the protection system which consists of controller unit and display system, RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) and MTU (Master Terminal Unit) are used. The research results in a controller unit which is able to communicate to personal computer using RS-232 C and an alarm system to protect oil pump motors by detecting sensors installed at the pumps.

Corn is one of the plants that people use for food. Therefore, to obtain a superior maize crop a research is required. The formation of hybrid maize varieties can be created through a series of crosses among tetua (the parent plant). This research is conducted for selecting tetua which can give good results based on testing the general affinity and specific affinity with Diallel analysis. General affinity indicates the suitability level of an elder for various crossing partners. While special affinity indicates a specific level of suitability partner. The data of general affinity and specific affinity test is obtained from the results of crossbreeding experiments using seven tetuas. To hold a faster and a more accurate analysis in calculating the general affinity and affinity cross plants, we use a computer system.
