Abstract

Sorghum is one of the non-rice commodities which have a relatively high content of nutrients, especially protein and carbohydrate. However, the nutritional value is to be down and relatively low due to the relatively high tannin content as an anti-nutrient. Fairly high tannin content in sorghum is also causing sorghumhas unpleasant taste and slightly bitter or "Sepet". Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the content of tannins in sorghum that is expected to improve the quality of nutrition, especially the increase in protein and starch digestibility and palatability or the flavor of sorghum products. The purpose of this study is to obtain the best method to lower tannin content in the manufacture of low-tannin sorghum milling, which will be used in the manufacture of instant rice sorghum. This research was done in two stages, namely 1) the timing of the millingstage and 2) the development stage of a method of making low-tannin sorghum milling by comparing the content of tannin reduction method with the immersion process in alkaline solution (NaOH 0.3% and 0.3% Na2CO3) and distilled water with the method of reducing tannin content without immersion process. The results of this study indicate that the best milling time that can produce milled sorghum with good physical sorghum is five minutes and the best immersion treatment that can lower the optimum tannin content is by immersing in 0.3%Na2CO3 solution for 24 hours. This method can reduce up to 77.46% tannin content.

Abstract

Building Information Modeling (BIM) has grown in architectural education curriculum with many scholar researches escalated the report. However, the effectiveness of the deliverance has not been evaluated, especially from the student’s standpoint. This writing is the survey report that collected from Bina Nusantara University students, who accomplished 3 courses of architectural computing. The survey aims to give feedback of student understanding regarding the courses learning objectives. Surveys were conducted with open and closed questionnaires. Quantitatively the survey showed that they were self-convinced with the process they had taken through the semesters. The combination of learning strategies is the strength that should support the design studio with BIM.

Abstract

Information Systems Audit is an activity that is carried out in a company that aims to ensure compliance with existing policies. General Services is one of the units in BINUS University whose activities in the form of services such as Transportation and Document Courier, Copy Centre and General Facility. However, this study is limited to the Transportation and Document Courier unit that uses an online reservation application gfservice.binus.ac.id. Maturity level of the existing information systems in Directorate General Services specifically Transportation and Document Courier based on COBIT Maturity Model is 2,951(Repeatable but Intuitive) or approaching from the standards set by the International is 3:00, which means the process has been documented and communicated well. This study also conducted an evaluation of the quality ofinformation systems and quality of information available. The result is positive impact on users' satisfaction, that means the increases of information quality and the quality of information systems of GF Services would increase student and employee satisfaction, but it also explained the factors that affect success utilization of existing information systems in order to rise to the level to 4, which means managed and Measurable. The results of the regression analysis and correlation between the quality factors of information systems and the quality ofinformation on student satisfaction and employee are 38.2% and 48.1%; while the rest is influenced by other factors not addressed in this study.

Abstract

Tourist place navigation application becomes more important for travelers, especially backpackers. Previous research had produced applications which can only show the route from the position of traveler to tourist place with map shown. The goal of the research is to use the radius and rating method that is still rare in the community to navigate tourist place. Output of the research is a GPS-based application that can display the search results of tourist sites based on rating and radius method, route from the traveler to the destination place, and description of the place. Development method used waterfall that contained user requirement, analysis, design, coding and testing, implementation, and maintenance. Conclusion of the research has shown that the developed application provided convenience in searching tourist places based on radius and rating, displaying route, and description of tourist places.

Abstract

Compensation is everything that will be received by a person as remuneration for the work she/he has done, either directly or indirectly. Assessment of labor productivity is almost always automatically associated with the rules and regulations of individual salary increases and bonus distribution. Result of the analysis indicates work environment played a very important role for the improvement of labor productivity with r2 = 0.933 (93.3%), and t 8.158 and t table 0.30. Result of the hypothesis testing of the effect of compensation onemployee and lecturer productivity (r2=0.933 or 93.3 % with t 3.729 and t table of 0.30) means compensation had a very strong influence. Result of the hypothesis testing of the effect of competence on employee and lecturerproductivity shows r2= 0.933 or by 93.3%, with t 4.014 and t table 0.30. Result of the analysis shows the correlation between work environment and labor productivity is equal to 0.769, means it had a fairly high correlation. The correlation between compensation and labor productivity by 0.482 is moderate. The correlation between competence and labor productivity by 0509 is moderate. The determination determination is equal to 0.933 means that employee and lecturer productivity was influenced by work environment, compensation, and competency in the amount of 0.933 (93.3%); while the 6.7% remaining was influenced by other variables outside the research. The regression function resulted from the analysis is Y = -0.026 + 0.548 X1 + 0.260 X2 + 0.281 X3.

Abstract

The health center has the task of providing health services to the community, to be able to win the competition among the existing health centers; a health center should have a good operating system, a computerized operating system to improve services in the field of administration. However, providing a computerized system is not enough, many other health centers or competitors also use a computerized system. Unfortunately, health centers in Indonesia have not yet implemented business intelligence application. There are many public and private health centers do not apply automated operational system. A study of the literature is conducted to find evidence of the application of BI, and any sector of the BI can be applied. Many sectors in health services where BI can be applied to improve the productivity quality of service and competitiveness in this era of globalization.
