Abstract

The article purposes are to analyze, identify, and measure the risks found in the use of information technology. The research method used are literature study and field study upon observations, interviews, documentation, and FRAP (facilitated Risk Analysis Process) approach to measure the risk of information technology. The results found are positive and negative findings in the use of information technology. The exixting weaknesses allow the potential risks that may occur. The conclusion is there are vulnerabilities found in the use of information technology that need several recommendations on those risks to improve performance andguarantee data protection and information from any risk arise.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to design a web-based CRM applications in language education institutions to improve services to siswas. Expected use of these applications can help siswas in terms of providing ease of learning takes place during and after the learning process is completed. Methodology and approach used in this paper is analysis of literature study, interviews, survey results, and design. The results obtained is that the CRM application designed can be run well. The CRM application can support and assist both prospective siswas and siswas related to study programs, support the customer service of the involved language educational institution in developing relationships with both prospective members and members, and help promote the institution.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology, every line of business as well as a company that specializes in a construction project requires an information system that can support the company’s operations. The research objective is to analyze, identify the information needs, improve and design an accounting information system of construction materials purchases needed by the management of a contractor company to assist in decision making and address the issues contained in the running system. The research is carried out byimplementing data collection and information, analysis on the running system, analysis of research findings, identification of information needs, and identification of system requirements, as well as a structured design ofobject oriented analysis design (OOAD) and unified modeling language (UML). The result obtained is an improving application design that features document numbering, document filing, and reports. The newdesigned accounting information system of raw material purchases of the construction company can generate a report needed timely, completely and accurately, so that it can be used by the management in decision-making process.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology, every line of business as well as services needs information systems to support the company operations. This research is objected to analyze, identify information needs, repair and design accounting information system of service sales required by the management to support decision making and address the issues in the running system on a service company. Several methods were carried out on this research, such as data collection and information; analyses on the running system; analyses of research findings;, identification of information needs, and identification of system requirements, as well as object-oriented design methods, namely the problem domain analysis, application domain analysis, architecture design and component diagram. The results obtained in the form of improvements in the running system which was an application that informs the design of document numbering, filing, and reports. The accounting information system of service sales at the studied company produced needed reports timely, completely and accurately that can be utilized by the management in decision-making.

Abstract

This paper is an idea to implement a knowledge management system for a real action for optimization efforts of private higher institutions due to the development of national human resources. Knowledge management is a technique of organizing knowledge within an organization. The goal is to accelerate the innovation by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of knowledge absorption through knowledge sharing process. Four activities underlying knowledge management system are using knowledge, finding knowledge, creating knowledge and packaging knowledge. These processes required to convert tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge that can be transferred to other people. Regarding to the background of the Consortium members who come from all corners of the archipelago, a web based knowledge management system is the best option. The system is built on many aspects, but can do a variety of simplifications that can be realized in the form of knowledge management portal. To make this system developed well, some attitudes need to be cultivated to create, capture, capture, store, process and disseminate knowledge.

Abstract

The research objective was to evaluate, learn and analyze whether the company’s business processes in accounting information systems of purchases and inventory of raw materials implemented in the company run as expected; to find out whether the accounting information system of purchasing and inventory of raw materials is well integrated, and to provide recommendations and suggestions to improve the weaknesses in the system for the company’s assets can be well cared for. Several methodologies are implemented in this research, which are literature study, field study, such as: interviews, observation, checklists, and documentation review followed by data analysis. Audit is implemented using audit around the computer. The results obtained are in the form of data analysis presented as problem findings, the impacts and recommendations for remedial action. It can be concluded from the results of this study that PT. Sumber Bahagia Metalindo owns sufficient information system control, but still there are some weaknesses to be improved in order to improve control process to the better objective.

Abstract

Nowadays, one of industrial main problems is the flexibility of machines to be customized since they are designed based on certain standard. This research develops software for CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machine in order to execute the Newton Interpolation using Python. The platform used in the CNC machine is EMC (Enhanced Machine Control) and GUI (Graphical User Interface) AXIS on the operating system Linux Ubuntu. The Newton interpolation is used to create a curve based on several point determined by user. By converting this curve into G-Code, which could be read by CNC machine, the machine can move according to curve designed by user. This research is an initial study to customize the CNC machine and will continue to fulfill the user needs. This research obtained a program that is able to run well up to 4 input pairs. The higher number inputs will cause the oscillation in the interpolation curve.

Abstract

The analysis of seismic refraction data by the generalized reciprocal method can be used for delineating undulating refractors. The forward and reverse times of arrival at different geophones with XY distance along a refraction profile, are used for calculating time depth. The seismic wave velocity in refractor may be obtained from velocity analysis function, and the depth of refractor under each geophone is obtained from time-depths function. This method has been applied at one line of seismic refraction measurement that was 440 m long with 45 geophone positions. The measurement obtained 20 m as the optimum XY-value and 2250 m/s as the velocity of seismic wave in refractor, and the undulating refractor topography with the depths varies 10.4 – 22.1 m. The optimum XY-value was obtained from approximate calculation derived from the observation, that was indicated the absent of undetected layer.

Abstract

Principal Component Regression (PCR) is one method to handle multicollinear problems. PCR produces principal components that have a VIF less than ten. The purpose for this research is to obtained PCR model using R software. The result is a model of PCR with two principal components and determination coefficients R(square) = 97,27%.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design of computer programs that is able to discern the characteristics description of water surface elevation data in Manggarai water gate, which variable is the most influential on the water surface elevation model and find a proper flood forecasting model using multivariate autoregressive model. The result of this study is able to assist the water gate officer in delivering early warning, prevention and anticipation of flood countermeasure. The forecast equation model obtained is Yt = 109,.7828 + 0,9291 CHt-6 – 24,484 T t-2 – 0,06245 PM t-2 + 1,4706 KB t-2 in which temperature and water surface elevation is a variable that owns the strongest correlation. This variable owns negative correlation which means that if the temperature falls, the water levels will rise. The coefficient of determination has a value of R2 = 0.4056 and the Durbin Watson statistics for DW = 0.7429.
