PT OneJect Indonesia faces the high level of defect on its barrel products. To overcome this problem, this study proposes an application quality control based on information system. We implement requirement analysis based on the needs of quality control methods, while to lower the defect rate we utilize Six Sigmamethod with DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) phases. In define phase we determine the type of product to be investigated using Critical to Quality, as well as the problems and objectives. In measure phase we calculate DPMO value and sigma level; sigma value of 3.520 is obtained. Then we calculate P control chart to see the production process control. In analyze phase we create pareto diagram to see the types of dominant defects. Then we create cause-and-effect diagram to determine the cause of defects, and five whys diagram to determine the root causes of the defects. In improve phase, we do improvement analysis through FMEA table by calculating the RPN value to determine the failure modes to be controlled. In control phase, we implement the proposal and simulation of sigma value increase. The analysis and design uses object-oriented information system by Lars Mathiasen, and UML as the requirement modeling and the design system. The results obtained are the documents of top-level analysis and design of information system as a quality control material for the actual system development.

CV Bambi considers to use IS and IT to get competitive advantage. Thus, CV Bambi needs a system that utilizes IT and records all business transactions, especially in sales, purchasing, and inventory processes so that data redundancy will be minimal. This research creates information system design of sales, purchasing, andinventory processes as well as reports that can be used by the management. Methodology used in this paper is unified process with object-oriented approach. The result is an information system design that can solve problems in data searching since all the data have been stored in a database. When sales or purchasing transaction occurs, the stock in inventory system will be automatically updated. This system will make easy the manager to read reports by using reporting feature.

Book as a learning method is less effective and interactive since it can not deliver motion animation. Thus, a more interactive learning method is needed to have a better learning process. The goal of the research is developing an application that provides easiness for students in learning algorithm by combining computerassited instruction (CAI) and internet technology. On the development phase, the research methodo uses fact finding by a survey to students who are or have been learning algorithm and a literature study, and also waterfall method for software development. The research output is a CAI application for learning algorithminteractively. The developed application is interactive for learning process and able to help students in deepen algorithm topics.

Credit Suisse Group (CSG) is a leading company engaged in global financial services. At the end of 90s IT infrastructure complexity of Credit Suisse has reached a critical situation. The existing IT infrastructure is no longer able to support the required business functionality. This leads to the introduction of an integrated architecture based on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). The purpose of this study is to learn how Credit Suisse successfully implements SOA both on a technical and organizational level. Analyses were performed by processing factual and reference data acquired. From the research, the successful implementation is due to clarity of interface, clarity of process, management commitment, and solid technology. Their success does not come easily since they also face obstacles and conflicts on the implementation.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and design a database to support Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (POSYANDU). Search data techniques implemented include interviews, documentation, observation, and literature study. Analysis and database design include conceptual, logical, and physical design. The result of this research is a database system that can save integrated data and POSYANDU information needs. Using the database system, PUSKESMAS can manage data of mother and baby’s health and related transactions.

The use of diverse database technology in enterprise today can not be avoided. Thus, technology is needed to generate information in real time. The purpose of this research is to discuss a database replication technology that can be applied in heterogeneous database environments. In this study we use Windows-basedMS SQL Server database to Linux-based Oracle database as the goal. The research method used is prototyping where development can be done quickly and testing of working models of the interaction process is done through repeated. From this research it is obtained that the database replication technolgy using Oracle Golden Gate can be applied in heterogeneous environments in real time as well.

The article explores the influence of database compression on processing time in generating online test results through experimental study. The study uses three level compressions consists of none, row and page in table used by online test system. The experiment shows that using page compression results in faster processing time and less space compared to none and row compression, and the optimal row for compression is between 1001 and 2000 rows. In summary, to reduce space usage and processing time, it is better to use page compression in user answer table of online test system and to group the participant in schedule so that users’ answer will be between 1001 and 2000 rows.

The purpose of this research is to explore the effectiveness in learning Japanese Kanji by mobile phone, compared with learning by books. The research is conducted on two groups given same learning materials on different instructional media. The research methodology is literature study, data analysis, system design, and implementation. The test result shos that there is no significant difference in learning performance between the group using mobile phone and the group using book.

This study analyzes and evaluates materials management processes running on a consumer goods company to find gaps between the needs of users and the SAP system used. This study aims to provide solutions and recommendations on the gap and to identify possible emerging risks. Analysis uses fit/gap Analysis. Itdescribes the evaluation results of the functions of SAP management material module used by the company. Therefore, we can identify what functions are not used optimally. Meanwhile, risk analysis method identifies the risks that can arise if the recommendations are not implemented. The results obtained from this study are recommendations and solutions that can be used by company to use SAP system function more optimally and in accordance with user’s needs. The conclusions that can be drawn is that the company must optimize the use of SAP system functions that have been implemented so that business processes can be run effectively and efficiently.

Marketing plays an important role in determining the success of a company's sales. Marketing of goods or services over the Internet opens an opportunity for a company to expand the business into new markets, and compete with other businesses in the same field. It is because the internet offers wider selection of good products, service products, and prices. Thus, customers can be sure in choosing and buying of goods and services. For that e-marketing is introduced as an marketing strategy that integrates internet and marketing. A study was conducted to develop e-marketing application for PT XYZ as a company that produces and sells men’s apparel and accessories. The methodology used in developing the e-marketing application is library research, field research, and a seven-stage approach to build e-marketing. The e-marketing strategy developed is expected to expand market share and increase sales. Additionally, it is expected to be a powerful strategy to build relationships with customers, providing information of both company and its products.
