Analysis and design of information system in PT. Maju Jaya Mulya is aimed to identify the organization needs in controlling and managing the data and information of operational transaction. They will be used as a base for developing a new integrated system that can meet company needs and to face the rivalry from the competitors. The activity in analysis and design is focused in production, inventory management and purchasing activities, as the main business of the company. The analysis and design of the company’s needs will be documented by using unified modeling language. With this information system, there is an expectation that this system will ease the company in doing their activity in production, inventory management and purchasing. This system will also minimize the data lost and human error, which is usually caused by the manual process and storage data of transactional data.

The Information technology and telecommunications (ICT - Information and Communication Technology) utilization to facilitate the home worker or teleworker has started being implemented in many companies. The study showed that the home worker offers benefits such as offering the flexibility to improve employee’s work-life balance, cost savings from hot desking implementation, which also support the clean desk policy implementation. In addition, the government needs to encourage firms to adopt the work from home concept, as it can helps to facilitate housewives hence they can have additional income, furthermore, the home worker could help to solve social problems such as traffic congestion in major cities.

Entity relationship diagram (ERD) and data flow diagram (DFD) modeling are necessary parts in analysis and design of structured information systems in business. Definition of entities in the ERD, the process, and datastore in the DFD have well described in a lot of literatures. However, practically it is not easy to explain how to design ERD and DFD models so that the students well understand the modeling steps, especially in business applications. This study discussed step-by-step systematic approach to ERD and DFD modeling using "business event-driven" approach that is represented by the REA model, through structuring REA-ERD and REA-DFD. From the results we concluded that the logical design of ERD should be done before designing DFD, so that there would be perfect "balancing" between the entities in the ERD and data stores in the DFD. Consequently, the implementation of these steps needed to be tested both qualitatively and quantitatively in advanced researches

The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the websites managed by individuals, companies and governments. The test results would be useful for managers to pay more attention to the quality of the website optimally through several perspectives: accessibility, experience, marketing and technology. The research used samples from 350 websites and the data were divided into seven categories, namely: website managed by SMEs (small and medium), website of universities, website of governments, e-commerce, news websites, website of industrial companies, and website of non-profit organization. We used Nibler as the testing tool to facilitate the assessment process. Data were analyzed using WEKA presented in the form of a decision tree. The results showed that the tested websites had an average value of 4.66 or worse (scale 1-10). The conclusion is that the manager of the website should perform repairs on the data and applications, in particular in the perspective of technology, accessibility and experience.

Dual tree complex wavelet transform (DTCWT) is widely used for representation of face image features. DTCWT is more frequently used than Gabor or Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) because it provides good directional selectivity in six different directions. Meanwhile, non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) is also frequently used since it can reduce high dimensional feature into smaller one without losing important features. This research focused on comparison between DTCWT and NMF as feature extraction and Euclidean Distance for classification. This research used ORL Faces database. Experimental result showed that NMF provided better results than DTCWT did. NMF reached 92% of accuracy and DTCWT reached 78% of accuracy.

A proper network optimization is needed to deal with problems on the network and to minimize latency in the data flow in a dense network. The data stream is directed into the right channels so that the optimal network speed and latency can be minimized. Spanning tree is one of the algorithms that can be used. The purpose of the Spanning tree is to prevent and reduce the loops in the network by negotiating free path and as well as to increase network uptime through redundancy (back-up). To comprehend spanning tree, the first important thing to know is how bridges and switches perform their functions. The more switches used, the use of the spanning tree becomes more important. With the spanning tree protocol, a broadcast storm can be prevented that can achieved network optimization.

It was not easy to start a business, let alone to run it. However, the spirit and ideas of the three founder of PT “IPS” has successfully created an innovative business that is a payment gateway to help sellers and buyers to make purchases online. However, there is a major problem for many IT entrepreneurs faced by PT “IPS” that is how to gain profit from the business. PT “IPS” hopes to make a profit from the efforts undertaken By understanding customer behavior and how other business people can get profit from the business relating to technology, such as improving customer value, distinguishing between types of member and amenities, providing "ignored" biaya by the user and working with other business people in the same field.

In certain circumstances children need to get therapy for supporting their growth and recovering their health. There are at least three types of therapy which are physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The existence of ornamental plants are believed to bring positive effects on therapy for children in condition that the ornamental plants concern positive and negative effects of the therapy activities. This study tried to determine the relationship between the types of therapy activities with the choice of ornamental plants. The result showed that the diversity of colors and scents of different types of plants can improve therapy facilities for children by concerning the therapy characteristics and the compliance with plant characteristics.

Creating autonomous vehicle that can drive without a driver is a dream of the researchers who see the application of such a system will be needed in the future. Realizing such a system requires a dynamic model of the vehicle. It may be obtained by analytical method using dynamic equations. However, this way is rather difficult to do, especially in modeling the non-linear factors caused by tires, suspension, road conditions, etc. This study, in order to avoid difficulties in the analytical method, used artificial neural networks to model the dynamic system of the autonomous vehicle. It utilized data input from the camera sensor and vehicle speed.

Operating System is an important software in computer system. For personal and office use the operating system is sufficient. However, to critical mission applications such as nuclear power plants and braking system on the car (auto braking system) which need a high level of reliability, it requires operating system which operates in real time. The study aims to assess the implementation of the Linux-based operating system on a Single Board Computer (SBC) ARM-based, namely Pandaboard ES with the Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9, TI OMAP 4460 type. Research was conducted by the method of implementation of the General Purpose OS Ubuntu 12:04 OMAP4-armhf-RTOS and Linux 3.4.0-rt17 + on PandaBoard ES. Then research compared the latency value of each OS on no-load and with full-load condition. The results obtained show the maximum latency value of RTOS on full load condition is at 45 uS, much smaller than the maximum value of GPOS at full-load at 17.712 uS. The lower value of latency demontrates that the RTOS has ability to run the process in a certain period of time much better than the GPOS.
