Abstract

The research objective was to identify, analyze, and design a procurement information system that was developed by an IT consultant company for their client companies. Data collection techniques used were literature study, field study, document study, learning and trying the existing e-procurement system. Then, it was followed by analysis on general procurement processes using objectoriented analysis with Unified Modeling Language (UML) as tools. The result is a web-based e-procurement application that supports documentation and storage of transaction data. It also generates reports in accordance with company requirements. The main system features are Request Usage Form (RUF), Purchase Request (PR), Purchase Request Summary (PRS), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Quotation, Winner Selection (WS), Purchase Order (PO), and Receive Report (RR). It can be concluded that the developed system can support procurement processes effectively and efficiently, and integrate the inventory and approval system. Integration with inventory system will result in easier stock checking and automated update of goods data in the inventory system. It includes creating item, editing item, and receiving made report document. Integration with approval system will also result in the simpler process of documents approval in the e-procurement system.

Abstract

This research aimed to provide a theoretical framework for intrinsically nonlinear models with two additive error terms. To achieve this, an iterative Gauss-Newton via Taylor Series expansion procedures for Estimated Generalized Least Square (EGLS) technique was adopted. This technique was applied in estimating the parameters of an intrinsically nonlinear split-plot design model where the variance components were unknown. The unknown variance components were estimated via Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method. To achieve the numerical stability in the iterative process of estimating the parameters, Householder QR decomposition was used. The results show that EGLS method presented in this research is available and applicable to estimate linear fixed, random, and mixed-effect models. However, in practical situations, the functional form of the mean in the model is often nonlinear due to the dynamics involved in the system process.

Abstract

Based on the data, there were still shortages of production from year to year and demand wereunstable in motorcycle chains manufacturer in Indonesia. To overcome these problems, the purpose of this research was to make production planning and inventory control consisting of forecasting, aggregate planning, Master Production Schedule (MPS), and Material RequirementsPlanning (MRP). Forecasting used the additive decomposition method (average of all data), multiplicative decomposition (centered on moving average), and winter method (additive and multiplicative). Aggregate planning used chase strategy, level strategy, and transportation model. Moreover, MRP used lot for lot, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) methods. The test shows several results. First, the best forecasting is additive decomposition (average of all data) with MAD value of 3.033,57, MSE with 13.590.490,and MAPE with 10,083%. Second, the best aggregate planning is transportation model with the total cost of Rp7.708.398.390,00. Last, the best MRP method is the lot for lot with total cost Rp7.162.567.653,00.

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the problem and the need to develop a small-medium enterprise project in a banking company. The analysis used a literature study, interviews, and observations. The results of the analysis supported the problem and were manifested in the development of information systems in the form of a recommendation for an e-commerce web design. The method consisted of data collection, data analysis and depth interview with Head of E-Commerce Department and Head of Marketing Communication in two days. The result shows that the banking company already uses Bukalapak to enhance their sales and brand. However, based on research, Facebook and Twitter also can be an option to enhance clients’ market access.

Abstract

This research aimed to build a platform to carry out the thesis mentoring process which was periodic, real-time, systemized, and well-integrated in Ciputra University in Surabaya. The researcher used Google Firebase technology provided by Google and built it on an Android-based platform. The method used was the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model. It was divided into six stages of the process: requirement analysis, system design, implementation, system testing, system deployment, and system maintenance. Data collection methods used were observation and interviews conducted to the final project coordinator in the study program. The results show that system has six main features including progress overview of thesis, chat room, guidance schedule, guidance book, important date, and announcement. Moreover, the thesis mentoring system is easy to use and consists of easyto-understand menus. After going through the process of analysis, this system is very helpful in scheduling guidance, monitoring the progress of student thesis work, and managing announcement and important date.
