Abstract

The development of technology and the demands on the speed of the construction project cause the material manufacturers compete to create a new material that can accelerate the process to build a building. Wall is one of the non-structural elements on a building. Both low-rise building and high-rise building are no doubts using this material. Wall works can use two different types of material, such as brick wall made of red clay and light brick wall made of cement, silica sand, and limestone. In the construction process wall is needed in a large amount of area, so the difference of the price should be examined in choosing the type of the material to gain efficient cost. The purpose of this study is to determine which method of wall construction is more efficient in terms of cost and time, the use of red brick wall or brick wall light. The study was conducted using survey, comparative, literature study method. Results indicate that both methods have advantages and disadvantages. Red brick wall method is cheaper in the cost of the process, while the lighter brick wall method much faster in the process.

Abstract

The ERP system is an integrated system that supports the core business activities of a company. These activities include manufacturing, logistics, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, and human resources. The ERP system will help related departments in a company to share data and information, cost reduction, and improved management of business processes, which will have an impact on work activities become more efficient and more effective. The method in this research is a case study approach, analysis, evaluation of documents and data collection. This study aims to discuss how the role of the ERP system and changes in work patterns as an effort to improve the performance of companies backed by the role of the ERP system.

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to give information and understanding about security threat that could happen in security system in e-commerce. The approach used is how the transaction system is, how the security is applied, and also the possible security threat in e-commerce. The result of this research is that there are still gaps in e-commerce. It is hoped that the business actors will be more realized about the security importance and more aware about the possible threat.

Abstract

The form of Japanese residential architecture throughout its history shows its own uniqueness. The success of the Japanese government to provide housing for its citizens supports the study to know how Japanese residential architecture for the public society happened until today. The study of Japanese residential architecture for the public society was conducted by the descriptive approach. Data were collected through literature study from the history and development of Japanese residential architecture for public society and also done by field observations in Tokyo and surrounding cities. The study results the knowledge about many forms of residential architecture to public society since before the world war until now and provides knowledge relating to the successful provision of public housing so that it can be accepted by the occupants. The study is expected to provide inputs for the development of programs for public housing provision in urban areas in Indonesia.

Abstract

As a Free Trade Zone (FTZ), the province of Riau Islands has a different pattern of strategic commodity (such as rice) marketing comparing to other regions in Indonesia. To anticipate and control the negative effects of the implementation of FTZ policy, It is necessary to study about rice marketing trade system in the Riau Islands region. The study was conducted to identify patterns of supply and marketing of food (rice) and analyze the marketing margin and marketing efficiency as well as the factors that influence it. The study was conducted through desk study and field surveys. Secondary data was collected from various sources and primary data collected through interviews with selected respondents using Respondent Driven Sampling method (RDS). The study shows that the structure of the rice market in Riau Islands can be categorized as monopolistic. Most of the rice supply comes from outside the region and import, the supply chain is quite simple, the price is relatively stable and relatively efficient marketing and resilience of rice reserves are relatively high for merchants. Nevertheless, the Riau islands will be very susceptible to interference distribution. Required efforts of the provincial government of Riau Islands to provide sufficient rice reserves. This paper gives an example of the use of the RDS method in marketing surveys.

The objective of this paper is to analyse portofolio application and information technology that is used today in Asset Management Department of Bina Nusantara so it could be made a strategic planning information system that could accommodate business needs. The discussion is focused to a strategic analysis that is applied today and its improvement in the future including information technology structure. Abstract

Banking world wants to help companies accelerate transaction receipts and disbursements, of the money they save in the bank. Bank account is a means to save money and transact safely and practically. If there is a large payment to the supplier, the company does not need to carry a lot of cash to the suppliers place, simply by giving a check to the supplier, and vice versa. E-Reconciliation is a service from XYZ Bank in the form of a delivery payment transaction data to the customer server periodically. Data delivery, safe and secure, to customers is an important factor in the process of reconciliation, one safe and secure way is to send the reconciliation report via encrypted email facility. With the delivery of the payment transaction data, customers can automatically reconcile the data. E-Reconciliation including new services in banking and is expected to add value to XYZ Bank among other competitors. In addition, it is expected to be many dealers and sub-dealer/reseller of customers who are interested in using E-Reconciliation services, so as to improve the balance of CASA.

Abstract

Nowadays every company has been faced with a business competition that requires the company to survive and be superior to its competitors. One strategy used by many companies is to use information technology to run their business processes. The use of information technology would require a storage which commonly referred to as a database to store and process data into useful information for the company. However, it was found that the greater the amount of data in the database, then the speed of the resulting process will decrease because the time needed to access the data will be much longer. The long process of data can cause a decrease in the company’s performance and the length of time needed to make decisions so that this can be a challenge to achieve the company’s competitive advantage. In this study performed an analysis of technique to improve the performance of the database system used by the company to perform tuning on SQL Server 2008 database physically. The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of the database used by speeding up the time it takes when doing query processing. The research methodology used was the method of analysis such as literature studies, analysis of the process and the workings of tuning tools that already exist in SQL Server 2008, and evaluation of applications that have been created, and also tuning methods that include query optimization and create index. The results obtained from this study is an evaluation of the physical application tuning tools that can integrate database functionality of other tuning tools such as SQL Profiler and Database Tuning Advisor.

Abstract

The development of information technology creates a new way of many aspects in life. Innovations in this technology affect toward business environment, especially banking, which makes the business run dynamically. All of the transaction of a bank will be processed easily with the presence of computer. A bank needs all of the changes in order to compete with competitors, and that includes changes in information technology. The more expanding and complex facilities applied in a bank, the more complex and diverse technology adopted by a bank. The implementation of technology information in banking is not simple, it needs a long term planning and maintenance system so that all of the technology information facilities could run well and give a significant impact. Technology monitoring or benchmarking is one of the options that is taken by a bank to maintain its existence in facing the tight competition. To create technology innovation in banking need a monitoring technology method that is named TW-CI. This method is used to fulfill business needs in facing a competition to get and choose information that can be used to support a decision, so that the innovation applied by a bank is efficient and finally give an added value and also create entanglement between a bank and its consumer.

Abstract

 This paper introduces a classification of the image of the batik process, which is based on the similarity of the characteristics, by combining the method of wavelet transform Daubechies type 2 level 2, to process the characteristic texture consisting of standard deviation, mean and energy as input variables, using the method of Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN). Fuzzyfikasi process will be carried out all input values with five categories: Very Low (VL), Low (L), Medium (M), High (H) and Very High (VH). The result will be a fuzzy input in the process of neural network classification methods. The result will be a fuzzy input in the process of neural network classification methods. For the image to be processed seven types of batik motif is ceplok, kawung, lereng, parang, megamendung, tambal and nitik. The results of the classification process with FNN is rule generation, so for the new image of batik can be immediately known motif types after treatment with FNN classification.  For the degree of precision of this method is 86-92%.
