Abstract

Artikel ini mendiskusikan bagaimana pesantren memiliki kemampuan untuk bernegosiasi dengan modernitas. Pesantren dengan modernitas adalah dua hal yang tidak bisa dipisahkan. Pesantren direpresentasikan sebagai penjaga tradisi-tradisi luhur yang dimiliki oleh Indonesia, sementara kecenderungan modernitas menegasikan eksistensi dari tradisi-tradisi tersebut. Landasan filosofis inilah yang menjadi tujuan utama dari penulisan artikel inidengan mendemonstrasikan Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso yang berlokasi di Sulawesi Selatan yang sukses mempertahankan tradisi dan pada saat yang bersamaan mampu berdialog dengan modernitas. Adapun jenis penelitian yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah qualitatif. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti mempraktekkan triangulasi, observasi, wawancara dan pengumpulan dokumen-dokumen yang terkait dengan pesantren dan modernitas. Data-data tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Pesantren DDI Mangkoso memiliki kapabilitas dan kompetensi dalam melakukan negosiasi dan dialog dengan arus globalisasi dan modernitas. Keberhasilan pesantren ini karena didukung oleh kreatifitas dan inovasi pesantren dalam menjembatani tradisi dan modernitas. Beberapa strategi yang dijabarkan dalam pesantren ini adalah mendefinisikan ulang makna modernitas, mengadopsi sistem pendidikan madrasah, pembinaan bahasa Inggris, serta pembentukan karakter kemandirian.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the form of Luwu's local value-relevance in anti-corruption education, madrasa efforts in instilling Luwu's local wisdom values in anti-corruption education, teacher's strategy in instilling Luwu's local wisdom values in Anti-corruption education in State Madrasah Aliyah Palopo using descriptive qualitative methods. Data sources used primary data from principals, vice principals and teachers of moral akidah, Al-Qur'an hadith, and PKn as well as students through interviews, while secondary data from school documents. The instrument is the researcher himself who collects and selects informants as sources of data, analyzes data, and manages data. Supporting instruments for observation sheets, interview sheets, cameras, recorders, and stationery. The results of the study show that, the relevance of local wisdom in anti-corruption education in the assessment of educational values with the creation of a religious atmosphere in the madrasa environment.

Abstract

The Bugis fishing community in Sungailiat, Bangka as a religious ethnic representation of Islam is one group of fishermen who still live in poverty. The source of this paper is obtained from research that uses qualitative anthropological methods, aimed at seeing how religious practices, and how life strategies in sustaining their lives. The data collection applies  techniques of observation and deep interview, whereas the data is analysed interpretively by appllying techniques of triangular analysis together with emic and ethical perspectives. The research findings show, the difficulty of meeting the needs of life, causing some fishermen to turn their livelihoods into tin mining pawners. The lack of intensity of the lives of fishermen in conducting fishing activities, coupled with the harsh accusations of shirk of the Mappanretation discourse from Muslim puritans and rationalist Muslim communities outside the fishing community, naturally dampens the ongoing Mappanretation ritual. As a result, the Mappanretation ritual as an expression of diversity gradually faded and eventually collapsed, disappeared, is no longer a tradition as long as it takes place in the life of the Bugis fishing community in Sungailiat.

Abstract

A management system has to be developed to suit the current situation in Indonesia, which would efficiently and effectively promote and educate Arabic Language and Islamic Studies for students. Improvement of management system of the Ma'had (Islamic boarding school) is a must, and following it is a necessity. The Government has Islamic Universities for Indonesian Muslims, same as it has for other religions. However, the Islamic Universities are very weak, even people who are graduating from Arabic Language faculty with a high grade do not know how to speak fluently in Arabic.  Therefore, it is necessary to study how to develop a unified college management system to be implemented in each college. Qualitative research approach was applied to answer the research question. This study was conducted in Ma’had Al-Birr–Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Observation and depth interview were applied to collect data. Some document analysis was employed to clarify the interview and observation data. This article is to describe education management system has been developed to achieve excellence in teaching Arabic Language and proper Islamic studies as per Quran and Hadith in the Ma’had Al-Birr Unismuh Makassar under the control and supervision of AMCF (Asia Muslim Charity Foundation). Some learning design have been taken are unified syllabus to be taught in all the college; an equally qualified staff to be employed; easy centralized supervision and control over all the college; unified academic calendar to be formulated for every academic year and formulating a single board for preparing the unified tests for all the college. This is one of the primary steps AMCF is taking now, with the vision of having a network of college, providing best possible learning opportunities and facilities in general, and scholars in particular, to learn Arabic Language and Islamic Studies. The AMCF future vision is to increase the number of qualified Scholars and Teachers in Indonesia, so that in turn, those scholars and teachers could contribute to solve the social problems in Indonesia by providing proper guidance to the public.

Abstract

Fenomena pernikahan dini saat ini marak terjadi di berbagai tempat. Pernikahan dini muncul karena ada factor pemicunya. Salah satu factor utama dalam pernikahan dini adalah adanya kasus kehamilan pra nikah. Kasus ini banyak terjadi karena kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pendidikan. Selain factor pendidikan. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan informasi tidak cukup membantu dalam mengarungi bahtera rumah tangga. Ketidaksiapan dari aspek mental. Ekonomi, status social berdampak pada keberlangsungan pernikahan dini. Akibatnya banyak terjadi perceraian dini diantara pasangan pernikahan dini. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif analitis, yakni memberikan atau uraian tentang  fenomena, pandangan tokoh pendidikan Islam, faktor , dan sisi positif negatif dari perkawinan dini. Subyek penelitian di tentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, dimana informan sudah ditentukan dengan sengaja berdasarkan lokasi tertentu yaitu daerah kota gede Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan pengumpulan literatur sesuai tema penelitian . berdasakan hasil analisis dan temuan dapat disimpulkan bahwa fenomena pernikahan dini di daerah Yogyakarta ternyata di sebabkan karena factor rendahnya tingkat pendidikan, minimnya wawasan agama, dan pergaulan sosial yang sangat bebas. Pasangan perniakahn dini, tidak banyak mengetahui sebelumnya tentang batasan dalam pergaulan dan perkawinan. Hal ini juga disebabkan karena factor pendidikan yang rendah. Rata – rata berpendidikan SD dan SMP. Dengan bekal pendidikan yang masih kurang sudah tentu mereka tidak dapat berpikir secara komprehensip tentang adanya pernikahan. Pernikahan dilangsungkan karena keterpaksaan.

Abstract

This paper is intended to describe a short biography of a Muslim scholar (ulama) named K.H. Muhammad Saleh Thaha (d. 1999). Description focuses on some aspects of his life, like the process that he went through to improve his knowledge, some religious and local values that he emphasized in his interaction with others, his roles in the endeavors of Indonesian nation to liberate the country and the people from colonialism, and his dedication as an ulama and a bureaucrat.           Contemporary and next Muslim generations in this country are expected to know some principles of life and dedication of the figure. They might face special challenges, though they are expected to understand and follow the main objectives of struggles of former Muslim scholars. They should make sincere ulama as good models in their lives.             Main data is collected through interview, documents, and observation. Units of data are compared one another to put into description. Data description is based on a research finding explaining that there were always teachers on Islam among Muslim communities and they usually took care for the condition of their community members
