Abstract

Modern dermatology distinguishes premature diagnosis for example an important part in reducing the death percentage and promising less aggressive treatment for patients. The classifications comprise various stages that must be selected suitably using the characteristics of the filter pointing to get a dependable analysis. The dermoscopic images hold challenges to be faced and overcome to enhance the automatic diagnosis of hazardous lesions. It is calculated to survey a different metaheuristic and evolutionary computing working for filter design systems. Approximately general computing techniques are observed to improve features of infect design method. Nevertheless, the median filter (MF) is normally multimodal with respect to the filter factors and so, reliable approaches that can provide optimal solutions are required. The design of MF depends on modern artificial swarm intelligence technique (MASIT) optimization algorithm which has proven to be more effective than other population-based algorithms to improve of estimation stages for segmentation skin lesions. A controlled artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm is advanced for solving factors optimization problems and, also the physical-programming-depend on ABC way is applied to proposal median filter, and the outcomes are compared to another approaches.

Abstract

IETF has proposed the routing protocol for low power and lossy networks (RPL) for IOT as view as light weight routing protocol. In RPL, the objective function (OF) is used to select the best route between child and root node. Several researches have been conducted in order to, enhance OF according to number parameters such as number of hops, remaining energy and expected number of transmissions (ETX), without a consideration to other challenges such as congestion node problem and latency. So, to overcome these challenges a new technique called “Enhance-Minimum Rank with Hysteresis Objective Function (MHOF)” is proposed in this paper, to select the ideal path between the child and root node. The technique is consisted of three layers: parent selection layer in which parent is selected based on three parameters (ETX, RSSI and nodes’ residual energy), path selection layer in which the best route is chosen according to the minimum of (average ETX value) and maximum of (average remaining energy value) of all nodes in the selected route. The last layer is child node minimization, which utilized to solve the congestion node energy problem by using two parameters (RSSI reference and threshold value). The proposed method has been implemented and evaluated by using Cooja simulator software. The simulation results have shown that selected path with E-MHOF is increased the network lifetime and reduced latency in comparison with MHOF.

Abstract

We have put our model in this paper in which we will be controlling the speed and direction of the servomotor through FPGA. So, as to guarantee the precision from the check control procedure, we have made a project in which the document provides the control plane associated with servo motor depending on Altera DE1 board gentle primary processor as program controller. The system utilizes FPGA since the primary gadget, as well as within Quartus II 10.0 program atmosphere. The associated control components aremade to type a good executable control program in which speed and direction will be controlled the servo motor performance. The particular handle signs from your handle method are usually separated and amplified which results in the push to appreciate the particular handle with the servo motor. Based on the features associated with Altera, it is expounded through 2 facets of equipment’s hardware as well as a software program that supplies an answer for that style associated with the servo control system. This particular document utilizes the actual PID control formula to manage the actual common screening device to attain versatile as well as precise control reasons. The actual equipment execution from the PID control formula is put in place through FPGA; precise as well as effective control program is built to enhance the speed and performance of the servomotor through FPGA.

Abstract

Writer identification based on cursive words is one of the extensive behavioural biometric that has involved many researchers to work in. Recently, its main idea is in forensic investigation and biometric analysis as such the handwriting style can be used as individual behavioural adaptation for authenticating an author. In this study, a novel approach of presenting cursive features of authors is presented. The invariants-based discriminability of the features is proposed by discretizing the moment features of each writer using biometric invariant discretization cutting point (BIDCP). BIDCP is introduced for features perseverance to obtain better individual representations and discriminations. Our experiments have revealed that by using the proposed method, the authorship identification based on cursive words is significantly increased with an average identification rate of 99.80%.

Abstract

As wind turbines more widely used with newer manufactured types and larger electrical power scales, a brief mathematical modelling for these wind turbines operating power curves is needed for optimal site matching selections. In this paper, 24 commercial wind turbines with different ratings and different manufactures are modelled using single cumulative probability density functions modelling equations. A new mean of a composite cumulative probability density function is used for better modelling accuracy. Invasive weed optimization algorithm is used to estimate different models designing parameters. The best cumulative density function model for each wind turbine is reached through comparing the RMSE of each model. Results showed that Weibull-Gamma composite is the best modelling technique for 37.5% of the reached results.

Abstract

Harmonic Distortion in many of the industrial applications are occur primarily owing to the enormous utilization of loads with high non-linearity like power converters, speed varying drives and arc furnaces. The power semiconductor is used to achieve the variation in speed and conversion from one source to another. Mostly active filters and tuned filters are utilized to remove the harmonic included in the source current. The tuned passive filters and inductance inserted in the line reduces the harmonics but at the same time induces the resonances in most of the industrial applications. Due to this, harmonic distortion increases in the source current and voltage. This can be reduced by adding hybrid filter in the system with decreased rating of active filter in high power applications. This article deals with the various topology of hybrid filters. The working of the proposed filter design in variable inductance mode based on the pollution created in the source voltage and current is studied. In the proposed hybrid filter passive filter is tuned with seventh harmonic frequency and connected in series with active filters to reduce the harmonic distortion. DC link voltage and the active filter VA rating could be minimized. The control signal to the filter is derived from p-q theory and space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM). The performance of the system under study is simulated and noted for the THD percentage before and after the filter is added to the system and the same model is experimented with reduced voltage level.

Abstract

Despite the superiority of symbolic approaches over the purely numerical approaches in many aspects, it does not receive the proper attention due to its significant complexity, high resources requirement and long drawn time which even grows significantly with the increase of model dimensions. However, its merits deserve every attempt to overcome the difficulties being faced. In this paper, a fully generic symbolic-based technique is proposed to deal with complex state space control problems. In this technique, depending on the model dimension if exceeds a predefined limit, the state space is solved using the partitioned matrices theory and block wise inversion formula. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed technique overcomes all the previously mentioned barriers and gives the same results when compared to numerical methods (Simulink). Moreover, it can be used to gain useful information about the system itself, provides an indication of which parameters are more important and reveals the sensitivity of system model to single parameter variations.

Abstract

The wireless sensor network is becoming the most popular network in the last recent years as it can measure the environmental conditions and send them to process purposes. Many vital challenges face the deployment of WSNs such as energy consumption and security issues. Various attacks could be subjects against WSNs and cause damage either in the stability of communication or in the destruction of the sensitive data. Thus, the demands of intrusion detection-based energy-efficient techniques rise dramatically as the network deployment becomes vast and complicated. Qualnet simulation is used to measure the performance of the networks. This paper aims to optimize the energy-based intrusion detection technique using the artificial neural network by using MATLAB Simulink. The results show how the optimized method based on the biological nervous systems improves intrusion detection in WSN. In addition to that, the unsecured nodes are affected the network performance negatively and trouble its behavior. The regress analysis for both methods detects the variations when all nodes are secured and when some are unsecured. Thus, Node detection based on packet delivery ratio and energy consumption could efficiently be implemented in an artificial neural network.
