Abstract

This study aims to describe the science worksheets design in comic form with problem solving oriented to develop students care environment character, determine the validity of the worksheets, the readability of the worksheets, and students care environment character development. The results showed that the design of this student worksheet was in comic form with problem solving oriented, the validity level of the student worksheet obtained proper criteria and had a high readability level so that it was easy to understand. The use of student worksheets in learning can improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain and develop an environment care character

Abstract

Metacognition skills are needed in learning activities both in the learning process and in measuring learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the level of understanding of high school students' physics concepts on waves and optics using the ISCoA metacognitive strategy (Identification, Selfregulation, Cognitive Assessment). The research was conducted through an online program, on 32 students of class XI IPA SMA Abu Bakar Yogyakarta as respondents using research and development methods. The instrument used in this study included a non-test instrument in the form of a modified MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) questionnaire which contained a statement of metacognitive awareness using the MAI reference, a test instrument in the form of 20 cognitive questions, a brief description of the reasoned category of measuring concept understanding and 4 questions to describe the problem solving category of the material. waves and optics. The results of this study were the metacognition ability in the developing category of 46.88%. The level of understanding of the concept of students is in the high category of 28.12%, the medium category of 46.88% and the low category of 25%. The level of problem solving ability of students in the poor category is 46.88%, and the high category is 12.5%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of snakes and ladder games based on Adobe Flash CS6 and to know the feasibility of the developed media and to know the influence of media use on student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMP 23 Semarang in January 2020. The method used is development research method or R&D. The research sample is a grade VII B student at SMP 23 Semarang which consists of 32 students. The results of the due diligence by experts showed that the media deserved to be used as a support for the learning process and there was an increase in learning outcomes in students marked by an increase in N-gain grades.

Abstract

This research aims to decide the quality scores of 21st century skill-based assessment instruments for high school students on the compiled static fluid material; describe the ability of scientific literacy as one aspect of 21st century student skills; and obtain mastery patterns of static fluid concepts. This research used Research & Development model. The research subjects are high school students with total sample of 70 students. The results showed that instrument is valid and high reliability. The results of difficulty index is moderate and the discrimination index is very good. The scientific literacy skills of high school students' on static fluid based on scores still has a very low scientific literacy ability of 58.6%. Understanding the concept of static fluid in high school students based on their scientific literacy abilities starting from the most easier to the difficult ones is the question in category 2 as a way of investigating, category 4 as an interaction of science, technology, and society, category 1 as a body of knowledge and category 3 as a way of thinking.
