The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the social network of facebook on the positive and negative effect toward Elementary School students in Demak. This study applied descriptive qualitative approach with case study research design. The source of data in this study obtained from the purposive sampling technique at elemeentary school in Sector Three of Kebonagong, Demak whose parents work as teachers, farmers, entrepreneurs, military and police officers. Data collection methods applied in this study were observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation study. The data analysis was done by using an interactive model analysis. The trustworthiness of data was confirmEd by using triangulation and resources technique. The result of the analysis showed that the social media of facebook is used by the students to do interaction with other students to share each other informations related to learning task, to remind each other, and to improve the English language skills. The control system of the activities of students maybe significantly influenced by their parents’ profession. At various jobs of parents which require them to stay in the workplace, will lead to less control of parents or give more freedom to their children in using social accounts. In this case, it happened to parents whose profession were entrepreneur. The control system of for profession of teachers, farmers, police officer, and military officer provide more time to their children of give more supervision on their children’ accounts so that their control system is better than those who work as enterpreneur.

Science learning based on the 2013 curriculum is implemented in scientific inquiry to develop scientific work. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of guided inquiry model with mind mapping to improve science process skill and student learning motivation. The research is used quasi experimental model with nonequivalent control group design. Data collection methods used in this research include test methods, observation, interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the use of guided inquiry model with mind mapping effective to improve science process skill and motivation of fourth grade student of SDN Krobokan. There is a significant difference of science skill score between experimental and control class with significance level of 5%. The acquisition of experimental class obtain N-Gain value of 0.47 in medium category and control class 0.27 in low category. The guided inquiry model with mind mapping is also effective in student learning motivation. This is evidenced by the score of motivation to learn in the experimental class that is 76 on the satisfied category and control class of 72 in good category. The results of correlation test shows a very strong relationship between the science process skills with student learning motivation. It shown from the correlation value of 0.938 with 1% significance level and the direction of positive relationships,. It can be conclude that the higher the score of students' science process skills the higher the student learning motivation.

This research was a qualitative research with case study approach. This study has purpose to find out the detail of the implementation of management education in homeschooling Package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang. This study discussed in depth, covering the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational programs of homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang. The research subject were the chairman of community learning centers (PKBM) Anugrah Bangsa Foundation Semarang, Principal, Coordinator of package A and tutors of package A. The data collection techniques was done by using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the planning of homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang was done by identifying the learners, tutors, infrastructure, financing, as well as class grouping. Homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang conducts learning by capturing method. The evaluation of Homeschooling package A Anugrah Bangsa Semarang has featured program of giving ecofarming based live skills.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness and influence of keyword-based learning skills of writing poetry with the mediation of students’ learning motivation and the moderation of teachers' teaching skills. The experimental design used was the posttest only design control group. The sample of this research is 75 students from 4 elementary schools in Mejobo Kudus district. Data collection techniques used performance tests writing poetry and questionnaires. Data analysis technique is classical assumption test include normality test and heteroscedasticity test and hypothesis test include average difference test, path analysis and moderating variable test. The results of the study showed that (1) effective keyword-based learning improves poetry writing skills, (2) keyword-based learning has a positive effect on poetry writing skill through student learning motivation and moderated teacher's teaching skill with skill findings of variation as the most optimal skill. The conclusion of the research are the effectiveness of keyword-based learning in improving students’ writing poetry skills and positive effect of the learning strategy in directly or indirectly mode on poetry writing skill with the mediation of student's learning motivation and teacher's teaching moderation.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the model of Problem Based Learning based on ethnomatematics of cultural buildings in Semarang improving understanding of geometrical concepts of the fourth grade students’ of SD Negeri Candi 01 Semarang. The type of research was quantitative with true-experimental design by using pretest-posttest control design models. The subjects’ were 60 students of the fourth grade of elementary school that were divided proportially into a control group and an experimental group. The data collection technique used was essay test. The effectiveness was indicated from classical completeness with minimum completeness criteria (KKM), difference of average understanding of experimental and control class, improvement of understanding of geometry concept of experimental class. The results showed that (1) the understanding of the concept of geometry by using Problem Based Learning contained ethnomatematics of cultural building in Semarang has reached the classical completeness of 75%; (2) the average understanding about geometry concept of the experimental class with the learning model of Problem Based Learning contained ethnomatematics of cultural buildings in Semarang is better than the average understanding of the concept of geometry with the learning of Problem Based learning in the control group; (3) there is a difference in the understanding of the concept of geometry before and after the learning through Problem Based Learning contained ethnomatematics of cultural buildings in Semarang. In conclusion, the use of the Problem Based Learning contained ethnomatematics of cultural buildings in Semarang is effective in improving students' understanding of geometrical concept.

The background of this research is less optimal learning of science grade IV of elementary school in Tugu subdistrict semester I of academic year 2017/2018. Students have not shown a good scientific attitude so that science learning achievement is not optimal yet. The classical passing grade of science is still less than 85%. For the same case, other researchers have applied a quantum teaching model with multiple intelligences to improve learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to know the impact of multiple intelligences approach through quantum teaching model to scientific attitude and science learning outcomes in the fourth grade student on plant part structure material. This research was conducted at the SDN Tugurejo 01 and the SDN Tugurejo 03 Semarang academic year 2016/2017. This research method is true experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design model. The sampling technique chosen is probability sampling with simple random sampling model. The result on scientific attitude of experimental class is 78,4% belongs to a good category while the passing grade of science learning is 87,9% with average score 81. Result on scientific attitude of control class 70,97% belongs to medium category while passing grade of science learning 81.3% with an average of 76. The conclusion of this study is learning by multiple intelligences approach through quantum teaching model more effective to improve scientific attitudes and science learning outcomes than learning by quantum teaching model.

The decreasing of student’s interest and motivation in Indonesian’s traditional music learning caused by less varied of the learning process and the lack of student’s knowledge about Indonesian’s traditional song. The lack of the utilization of gadget like educational games in the learning process also causes the decreasing of student’s interest and motivation. This study aims to verify the effectiveness of “Lagu Nusantara†games through student’s interest and motivation in the music art learning, especially about Indonesian’s traditional song. The method that used in this study is a quantitative method with the post-test only control group design for an experimental model which supported by the observation of games that used by students. The research subject was 89 elementary students who divided into a control group and experimental group (45 students for the control group and 44 students for experimental group). The result, “Lagu Nusantara†as the game is sufficient to promote student’s interest and motivation in the music art learning process, especially about Indonesian’s traditional song. As supporting data, this research obtained observation data for student’s interest and motivation which are well in the category (Interest score = 89.44%; motivation score = 87.78%).

The purpose of this research was, (1) to describe the implementation of PBL model with mind mapping to improve students' understanding of concept, and (2) to analyze the improvement of understanding of concept of the students after the implementation of PBL model with mind mapping. This type of research is mixed methods with sequential explanatory strategy. Samples of this research was the fourth grade students of SDN 5 Puyoh with 30 students. The first method applied in this research was quantitative method with one group pretest-posttest design, followed by the method of data collection techniques by using test in the form of multiple choice questions, as well as non-test which consists of interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that (1) the implementation of PBL model with mind mapping had succeeded in increasing the understanding of concept of students with the achievement of three indicators: the average posttest student conceptual understanding reached the minimum mastery criteria, the increase of students' understanding of concept is in the category of at least moderate according to N-Gain test, the average score achieved by the N- gain test was 0.36 which is in the medium category, and the average score of the acquisition of the create of mind mapping is also in the minimum good category, the average score obtained is 22, (2) the learning conducted by using PBL and mind mapping can improve students' understanding of concept, the Sig value obtained is 0.00 < 0.05, therefore, it can be concluded that there is an increased of understanding of concept of students after the implementation of PBL model with mind mapping.

The increasing of learning achievement is affected by internal and external factors. These factors are parent’s parenting and learning discipline. This research aims to analyze the role of learning discipline in mediating the effect of parent’s parenting towards student’s learning achievement. Population in this research is fifth-grade elementary students in the district of Kebonagung, Demak in year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used is random cluster sampling with two-stage cluster sampling. Data collection in this research use questionnaire, documentation, and observation of student’s learning discipline. The analysis result stated that there is the positive and significant effect of parent’s parenting through learning achievement (50.9%); learning discipline through student’s learning achievement (37.7%); and parent’s parenting through learning discipline (67.7%). We also found that there is an impact of learning discipline as the mediation of parent’s parenting through learning achievement (25.4%). This finding lead parent’s to more responsive towards problems that associated with parent’s parenting and learning discipline.

Elementary school students need to be taught mathematics to equip logical, analytical, systematic, critical, creative, and cooperative thinking skills. Result of the UNESCO 2016 survey found that the creative thinking ability of students in elementary education level in Indonesia is low. This study has two purposes. First, to analyze the effectiveness of the inquiry training model on the mathematical learning material counting integer operations. Second, to analyze the creative thinking ability of 5th grade students based on learning style. Mixed methods with concurrent triangulation strategy was carried out in 5B grade Islamic Elementary School Al Madina Semarang with the number of students are 29. The next step is selected the subject of research is 6 students by purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is the assisted appeal SPSS 16.00. Data validity technique through qualitative method of verification and source triangulation. The results show that model inquiry training is effective at learning mathematics class 5B. This model is effective by fulfilling three conditions. First, the percentage of mastery in the model inquiry training class reached 86%. Second, the average ability of mathematical thinking in the class of inquiry training is higher than the average in mind mapping class. The mean of inquiry training is 81.61 and mind mapping is 76.35. Third, the implementation of inquiry training activities including good category. Students with kinesthetic learning styles included in the category of students are creative and creative enough. Students with visual learning styles included in the category of students are less creative and not creative. Students with auditory learning styles included in the category of creative and highly creative students. This research is useful to enrich the sense of insight of the application of inquiry training model and know the classification of students' mathematical creative thinking ability based on the learning style.
