Abstract

Increasing peanut production can be done by applying rhizobium and PGPR. This study aims to examine the effect of PGPR and Rhizobium on peanuts. The research was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023 in Patemon Village, Pakusari District, Jember Regency. Experimental design using factorial RAK. The first factor was the concentration of PGPR consisting of 10.5 ml/l, 12.5 ml/l and 14.5 ml/l. The second factor was the dose of Rhizobium inoculants consisting of 25 kg/ha, 50 kg/ha, and 75 kg/ha. The results of this study indicated that there was no real interaction between the PGPR and Rizobum treatments. As a single factor, PGPR with a concentration of 12.5 ml/l gave an effect on the variable number of ginophores (72.1). While the application of Rhizobium inoculant at a dose of 75 kg/ha showed the best results on the number of pods/sample (30.90), weight of pods/sample (62.12 g), weight of seeds/sample (44.74 g), and weight of seeds/plot (850.60 gr). . It is suspected that the application of PGPR to peanuts and inoculation of Rhizobium plays a role in increasing nutrient uptake which in turn increases growth and production.

Abstract

Jember as one of the largest coffee producers in East Java does not seem to be able to prosper its Jember as one of the largest coffee producers in East Java has not been able to prosper its farmers. This was due to the low level of institutional capacity of farmer groups to carry out their functions and roles in increasing the capacity of farmers in developing upstream and downstream coffee businesses in Jember Regency. This study aims was to describe and analyze the influence of motivation, training activities and group functions both directly and indirectly on the institutional capacity of coffee farmers. The results showed that (1) the motivation of coffee farmers has not reached the good category because the training activities and the materials have not been maximized absorbed by coffee farmers. So, the function of farmer groups has not run well, and the institutional capacity of farmer groups in the development of upstream and downstream coffee businesses in Jember Regency was not high, (2) Motivation does not have a direct significant and also indirect effect on institutional capacity through a group functions was not good. Meanwhile, training activities have a direct or indirect effect on institutional capacity through group functions that was significantly good. The greatest influence on training activities depended on group functioning of coffee business

Abstract

Paraffin oil is known to be effective as a pest control agent. It is more toxic to pest insects while being safer for plants, humans, and beneficial organisms that act as natural enemies. Paraffin oil is also known for its ability to be mixed with various other pesticides, which can extend its effectiveness. This capability is particularly useful for reducing insecticide dosages in the field. This study aims to determine the best treatment combination of paraffin oil with insecticides containing the active ingredients spinetoram and permethrin on weaver ants (Oecophylla smaragdina), which in certain cases can become pests in laboratory settings. The findings of this study can potentially be used to minimize insecticide usage. The application of paraffin oil and its combinations with spinetoram and permethrin insecticides was carried out using a topical or direct spraying method on weaver ants. The study was designed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, varying combinations of paraffin oil with spinetoram and permethrin insecticides. The observed variable was the mortality of weaver ants. The research results showed that the combination of 0.4 ml of paraffin oil with 0.6 ml of permethrin insecticide was the most effective in causing mortality of weaver ant pests and in reducing the dosage of synthetic insecticides.

Abstract

Rejuvination is a rejuvenation pruning that is carried out to improve the quality of coffee plants that are old and no longer productive. This study aims to determine the success of rejuvation in BP 409 and BP 534 clone robusta coffee plants with a 100% pruning system (trimming-unpruning). The rejuvenated plants were then observed including the tallest stem, the longest primary branch, and the number of leaf segments (tides). The results showed that the BP 409 clone grew better than BP 534. The measurement results show that BP 409 has the highest value in all three parameters, while the BP 534 clone has the lowest value in all three parameters. The highest stem reaches 136 cm and the lowest reaches 71 cm. The longest primary branch reaches 80 cm and the shortest is 57 cm. The highest number of leaf segments was 177 pairs and the lowest was 84 pairs. Rejuvination activities can be said to be successful by looking at the data obtained from the research results.

Abstract

The high potential of durian fruit creates waste in the form of skins that cause environmental pollution. Durian peel contains high cellulose of about 50 to 60%. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the source of cellulose as raw material for cheap bioplastic and biodegradable foam packaging. This study aims to determine the physical and chemical properties of durian peel mesocarp cellulose. The research method was to isolate or extract cellulose from durian peel mesocarp. The cellulose isolation process consists of 3 stages, namely flour making, delignification process using 10% NaOH alkaline solution, and bleaching process using 10% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) solution. The cellulose produced was observed for physical and chemical properties. The results show that durian peel mesocarp cellulose has physical properties with powder form, elongated round granule structure, yellowish-white color with lightness (L) = 78.50, a * = 4.30, and b * = 21.00, and chemical properties include moisture content of 6.37%, content of 63.27% cellulose, 13.94% hemicellulose and 9.54% lignin.

Abstract

Pengisian polong edamame (Glycine max L.) merupakan fase penting dalam produksi polong premium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh aplikasi asam amino ikan lemuru dan Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) berbasis akar edamame, terhadap laju pengisian polong. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah rancangan acak kelompok faktorial (RAKF) terdiri atas dua faktor yaitu asam amino dan PGPR, perlakuan asam amino terdiri dari (0,5,10,15, dan 20)ml/l. Dan aplikasi PGPR terdiri dari (0, dan 150)ml/l. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perlakuan asam amino memberikan pengaruh berbeda nyata pada pengamatan jumlah polong total dan persentase polong hampa. Sedangkan perlakuan PGPR menunjukkan hasil berbeda nyata pada pengamatan persentase polong hampa. Interaksi pada perlakuan PGPR dan asam amino berbeda tidak nyata pada semua variabel pengamatan,

Abstract

Kemasan biofoam merupakan kemasan biodegradable yang menjadi alternatif pengganti kemasan styrofoam, yang merupakan jenis kemasan pangan yang tidak dapat terdegradasi di tanah maupun air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemasan biofoam berbahasan dasar alami (pati dan selulosa) dengan tambahan kitosan. Penambahan kitosan (1%, 3% dan 5%) dilakukan untuk memperbaiki struktur biofoam dan penghambat pertumbuhan bakteri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode baking, dengan bahan utama yaitu pati garut dan selulosa sekam padi. Uji karakteristik yang dilakukan adalah ketebalan, kecerahan, daya serap air, kuat tarik, antibakteri, biodegradasi, dan analisis FTIR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kecerahan dan ketebalan tertinggi terdapat pada kitosan 5% yaitu 93,37%, dan 0,47 mm. Nilai daya serap air terendah pada kitosan 5% sebesar 8,00%. Pengujian kuat tarik tertinggi pada kitosan 5% sebesar 0,22 MPa. Ketahanan terhadap bakteri tertinggi pada kitosan 3% dan 5% memiliki zona hambat 25 mm. Hasil analisis FTIR mengindikasikan kandungan gugus fungsi O-H dan C-O pada biofoam. Biofoam tanpa penambahan kitosan lebih mudah terdegradasi dibanding dengan penambahan kitosan.

Abstract

Sintesis material komposit berpori ZIF-67/Kitosan telah berhasil dilakukan melalui metode in-situ dengan penambahan sebanyak 0,5 g kitosan dalam prekursor ZIF-67. Hasil analisa XRD menunjukkan tidak ada perubahan struktur kristal ZIF-67 setelah penambahan kitosan. Selain itu, spektra FTIR telah mengkonfirmasi adanya pembentukan puncak serapan gabungan dari kedua penusun material komposit, ZIF-67 dan kitosan yang menunjukkan keberhasilan sintesis komposit ZIF-67/Kitosan. Hasil kinerja adsorpsi zat warna metil jingga menunjukkan komposit ZIF-67/Kitosan memiliki kapasitas adsorpsi tertinggi sebesar 58,62 mg/g dengan persen penyerapan zat warna sebesar 29,31%. Hasil tersebut telah meningkat sebesar 381,67% dibandingkan dengan kitosan murni yang hanya sebesar 12,17 mg/g dengan persen penyerapan zat warna sebesar 6,08%. Modifikasi kitosan dengan ZIF-67 melalui metode sintesis sederhana telah mampu meningkatkan kinerja kitosan sebagai adsorben konvensional yang sangat signifikan.

Pupuk organik merupakan faktor penting dalam produksi hasil pertanian dan perkebunan berkelanjutan. Untuk menghasilkan produksi pertanian dan perkebunan yang memiliki kualitas mutu tinggi sangat bergantung dengan pupuk organik. CV Basiscrop Indonesia adalah produsen berbagai pupuk organik, dekomposer, asam amino dan biopestisida, produk unggulan CV Basiscrop antara lain pupuk BC, pupuk Asam Amino, Pupuk Blotong, Dekomposer Rumen Sapi dan Napofith. CV Basiscrop Indonesia berdiri sejak tahun 2023 dengan wilayah kerja Area Lumajang, Probolinggo, Jember, Bondowoso, dan Situbondo. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis berbagai faktor secara sistematis berdasarkan kekuatan, peluang, kelemahan, dan ancaman sehingga dapat merumuskan strategi serta kebijakan yang tepat pada CV. Basiscrop Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil analisis perusahaan menghadapi peluang yang sangat besar, namun disisi lain CV. Basiscrop Indonesia menghadapi beberapa kendala/kelemahan internal. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan adalah sebagai berikut: meningkatkan ketersediaan produk setiap bulannya, pemasaran online dan offline secara massif, membuat demplot percobaan untuk meyakinkan mitra, eksport produk ke asia tenggara, bidik target pasar perusahaan sawit, rekruitmen tenaga kerja supporting, membentuk budaya kerja yang kompetitif, meningkatkan selling skill, membangun kemitraan dan kerjasama dengan pemerintah, asosiasi dan toko pertanian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) Universitas Bahauddin Mudhary Madura berdasarkan persepsi kepuasan pengguna (mahasiswa) menggunakan metode PIECES framework. Metode PIECES framework digunakan untuk mengevaluasi enam aspek kualitas sistem informasi, yaitu Performance, Information and Data, Economics, Control and Security, Efficiency, dan Service. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa pengguna SIAKAD. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai kualitas SIAKAD saat ini, mengidentifikasi area-area yang memerlukan perbaikan, serta memberikan rekomendasi yang konstruktif untuk pengembangan SIAKAD di masa depan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kepuasan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi Universitas Bahauddin Mudhary Madura dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan akademik berbasis teknologi informasi.
