Abstract

ABSTRACT   September 30, 2009 that happened in West Sumatera has destroyed the building of Library and Archieve of West Sumatera Province. Because the role of the Library and Archives Agency is so important and irreplaceable, the re-planning and re-design of the building need to be implemented. The purposes of planning and design of this building are (1) to asses space needs, (2) to determine the space layout, and (3) to design the building form and architectural concept. The applied design method consists of programming, planning, concept, and design. Analysis was performed in the form of macro analysis and micro analysis. The result of planning and design the building that has 3985,56 m2 47 rooms. In the first floor, there are the lobby room, public facilities and service room. In the second floor and third floor there are staff room, reading room, discussion room and digital library room. In the fourth floor there are hall and shelter. The architecture concepts are Minangkabau architecture and Indonesian traditional architecture. Keywords: Library, Planning, Design

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This descriptive research is purposed to find out the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes for identifying construction lesson in class X SMKN 1 Pariaman. Population of this research is students of class X construction technique who are learning a subject matter of identifying building construction in their first semester, year of study 2013/2014. Samples are taken by “random sampling” technique. Instrument that is used in this research is questionnaire with Likert scale and data is analyzed by (1) descriptive analysis, (2) analysis requirement tests, that are normal test and linearity test, and (3) hypothesis tests consist of correlation test and signification test. From the results show that there is significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes for students of X class construction technique SMKN 1 Pariaman, with level of confidence 95%. This can be seen in correlation test result that is rhit  0.860 ≥ rtable  0.294, and from t test result that is thit  11.05 ≥ ttable  2.021. Based on results, it can be concluded that the higher learning motivation of student, the better result of student’s learning outcomes.       Keyword: Learning Motivation, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Scholarship is a helpful effort that is given to students for helping them in fulfiling education cost during the study. In SMK N 1 Pariaman, one of the given scholarship to the underprivileged students is BKM scholarship. It is seen from the fact that the scholarship is often used for other necessity out of the educational needs. This research aims to know the BKM scholarship usage by observing 3 usage indicators , they are students’ school equipment purchase, transportation necessity of students and industrial work practices (Prakerin). This research uses descriptive method. The population of this research is students BKM scholarship recipients year 2013 in SMK 1 Pariaman as many as 177 students and the samples in this research are taken using proportional randomsampling technique with sample numbers as many as 63 students. The type of data in this research is primary data taken from recipients and secondary data taken form school archives concerning to the numbers of scholarship recipients. Data analysis technique is done by descriptive analysis using percentage formula and then translated into narrative form. This research result shows that BKM scholarship usage by students of SMKN1 pariaman viewed from 3 indicators. For purchasing the school equipment, the respondents’ answer is 63,6% or it can be categorized deficient. For students transportation needs, average answer is 57,2% or it can be categorized deficient and industrial work practices average answer is 64.0% or it can be categorized deficient. Abstract

ABSTRACT   The Bidikmisi scholarship is a scholarship which sponsored by the Directorate Higher Education of Indonesian Government. The scholarship is honored students who have the best achievement but poor. For continuing payment of Bidikmisi scholarship needs the best achievement with GPA (Grade Point Average) not less than 2,75. Now, in fact there are many students who got GPA under 2,75. The main purpose of this research to know the grade usage of Bidikmisi scholarship by the students of Engineering Faculty, State University of Padang. The method of research is descriptive quantitative and adopt the Guttman scale in analyzing. The number of respondents are 68 respondents. The results are about 19.1%, 79.9% used this scholarship for educational cost and living expenses,  respectively. As much as 50,04% students used the scholarship budget for both living expenses and educational cost but still not optimum. Abstract

ABSTRACT   This study is a descriptive correlational,the aimed to determine the effect of scholarships on learning outcomes of students in the Department of Civil Engineering FT - UNP . The research hypothesis that there is significant utilization of scholarship on studentslearning outcomes. The population in this study all students of Department of Civil Engineering FT - UNP year in 2009 and 2010 who received scholarships in 2012 numbered 27 students . The sampling technique is the total sampling.Based on the results of data analysis performed using the Two Tailed Sampels  Testfrom the analysis of correlation between  X and Y variable obtained rvalue of 0,432. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted . There is effect of scholarships to student learning outcomes . Keywords : gifts, scholarships , study result

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This study aims to determine whether there is any effect of the application of inquiry learning strategies on student learning outcomes in subjects in class X statics Architecture Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi .This research is an experimental study , namely Pre - Experimental Designs. The population in this study were all students of class X in Architecture Engineering skills program at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi school year 2013/2014. Based on the results of a comparative analysis on the obtained value of F test of homogeneity = 11.23 and F table = 2.05. These results show that the F value > F, meaning both groups of student learning outcomes data have variants that are not homogeneous. Furthermore, the test of homogeneity of variance obtained is not homogeneous and n1 ≠ n2 , then used t-tests with a separated variant . From the analysis of the data obtained and the price of t = 3.2 t table = 1.968 at 0.05 level. From these calculations it appears that t count > t table , this means that the hypothesis proposed in the study ( H0 ) is rejected. Keywords: Effects , Inquiry Learning Strategy , Learning Outcomes

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research is aimed to know the relationship between student’s learning attitudes toward student’s learning result Majoring on Building Drawing Engineering. The hypothesis is, “There is a relation between the student’s learning attitude toward learning result of student’s in grade X and XI Majoring on Building Drawing Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. The type of the research is descriptive correlation. The samples were taken by using total sampling in 56 students grade X and XI Majoring on Building Drawing Engineering. The data were taken using a Likert scale questionnaire. The variable (X) is the student’s learning attitude and the variable (Y) is the student’s learning result. Data analysis was performed in three steps: (1) Data description, (2) Pre-testing analysis, (3) Hypothesis testing. This research is analyzed by using SPSS 21 program. Based on the data analysis, it is assumed that the Pearson correlation value is 0,603 and the significance value of the correlation which is 0,000 is less than 0,05. The result on student’s learning attitude is 79,02%. It means that there is a significant relationship between the student’s learning attitude toward the student’s learning result of student’s in grade X and XI Majoring on Building Drawing Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. Abstract

Primary data were obtainedfromsamplesthrough aquestionnairewithLikertscalemodels. Andanalysis ofdata usingmean andpercentageformula. In general, it can be seen from the guided teacher’s perception of the mastery of basic skill tutors teach students included in a good category. Abstract

ABSTRACT   In general , upper secondary education ( high school ) in Indonesia consists of three institutions namely High School ( SMA ) , Aliah Madrasah ( MA ) and Vocational School ( SMK ) . SMA and MA aims to educate students / i continue kejenjang higher studies like college or university , while vocational aims to educate students / i be a middle-level manpower , even though they are also able to continue the high keperguruan . The success of education at high school level , both SMA / MA or SMK will affect learning outcomes in higher education at the college .This research is a comparative study that aims to investigate differences in learning outcomes at the course Engineering Drawing by the student's home school Education Program S1 Building Engineering Department of Civil Engineering , State University of Padang . The research hypothesis that there are differences in learning outcomes at the course Engineering Drawing by the student's home school Education Program S1 Building Engineering Department of Civil Engineering , State University of Padang . The population in this study were all students of UNP PTB FT class of 2009 , 2010, 2011 and 2012 were studied Engineering Drawing courses totaling 211 students . Stratified sampling technique that is proportional random sampling with a sample of 165 students .Based on the results of independent test samples t tests showed results of Self Development significance value 0.000 < 0.05 Ho rejected , Projection 0.284 > 0.05 Ho accepted and for Value Figure 0.043 < 0.05 Ho rejected 0,803 > 0.05 , then Ho is rejected , there is a difference in learning outcomes eye college engineering drawings between students from high school and college students from SMK . Proven hypothesis described . based on the results of research using SPSS to test independent samples t tests showed results of significant value for the principal sub Basic Drawing Skills and 0.000 > 0.05 means that Ho is rejected , subject to sub Projection significance value 0.284 > 0.05 means that Ho is accepted and for Learning Outcomes Picture technique with 0.043 significance value of <0.05 means that Ho is rejected , there is a difference of learning outcomes between technical drawing courses from high school students and students from SMK . Proven hypothesis described . Based on the research results can be seen in the average value ( mean ) dati students from high schools and students from SMK , the principal sub Basic Drawing Skills and 73.1323 and 81.7608 , the principal sub 74.7860 and 73.6199 and Projections Average Picture Learning Outcomes 73.9591 Engineering and 77.6904Berdasarkan research conducted it can be concluded that this could happen because when viewed from the side of the stimulus received tiori learning different vocational students with students of SMA / MA , so they give a different response . Students are more focused on the practice of vocational / pisikomotor , while high school students are more focused to koknitif / thinking .   Keywords : learning outcomes , engineering drawings , and the school of origin
