Abstract

The purpose of this (1) research is to design The Twins Lake signed system, this research will discuss the signing system designed for The Twins Lake tourism object. (2) The sign designed are attractive, simple, colors determined, typography,and communicative layouts to represent distinctive feature local community. The Source of this research using collecting data field method, include observation, interview and also through documentation on tourism in The Twins Lake. The result of this research is communicative sign system for the Twins Lake visitors, within information about tourism object of The Twins Lake in the picture, colors typography, and attractive layouts.

Abstract

Kapacak is a company in the form of CV. Engaged in the Event Organizer / EO, CV. Kapacak established in 2011, is often organized sports automotive drag race, drag race is a race car on two different tracks and adjacent to, the time gauge in determining the winner. In any event the implementation of the drag race, CV. Kapacak never use the sponsor, although the sponsor's promotion is done better and more interesting than that in doing CV. Kapacak own. Therefore CV. Kapacak want to create a new media campaign, such as posters. Abstract

West Sumatera has many born a big heroes from other side like at defend direction, religius, education, art and culture. Because so many people that did know about ad did not known about of heroes National of west Sumatera and then needed a thing to remember of work them to country and state. The purpose of this script is (1) to design letter as thing of filately that imagine a paint about National heroes from west Sumatera (2) for more be introduce back to people heroes from west Sunatera, they are it depend our country, and as filately thing to letter fan. And method that used in this design is analize method 5 W + 1 H is, what, where, when, who, why and how. Abstract

The purpose of sign systems at Gandoriah Beach as a tourism object is to help the visitors to find an easy direction for the tourists in exploring the tourism sites that they need with a sense of convenient, secure and orderly. Sign systems have to be able to resist corrosive, unbreakable, and high durability to enhance Pariaman’s tourism in order to increase the public service and it also give a contribution to applicate the Gandoriah Beach’s design. Based on the functional perspective, there are 4 functions of sign systems; (1) identification sign, to identify the location, (2) direction sign, to direct the tourists, (3) regulatory sign, appealed tourists to be orderly and regularly, and (4) information sign provides information needed by the visitors. The existence of sign systems are expected to give a contribution to the visitors, so they can feel safe and comfortable as long as they come to Gandoriah Beach. It also becomes the tourism object as place for visitors to get their comfort.Key words; sign system, public service, tourism object.

Abstract

The purpose of this design is to create Sabai nan Aluih comics as one of the efforts to preserve one of the folklores of West Sumatera. The data source of this design is the novel book of Sabai nan Aluih, authorized by Sutan Sati. Sabai nan Aluih comics were created using manual and digital method. This design produces the comics for Sabai nan Aluih adapted to Indonesian teenagers, especially teenagers in Padang city. Keywords: Padang city, Sabai nan Aluih, Comic

Abstract

The county of Solok which is recognized as “Solok nan Indah” has many interesting tourism objects such as culture, nature, religion and others but most of tourist both of local and oversea do not realize it. Promotion is very needed to make the county of Solok is known by tourist. This article explains about using booklet as a visual media to promote tourism object in the county. Besides that, it also states other media to support booklet in promoting tourism in the county. They are billboard, calendar, brochure, sticker, poster, and CD. The methods that are used in creating a booklet are SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat), AIDAS (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action, Satisfaction) and USP(unique selling positioning). All of the media have purpose to develop tourism in county of Solok so it will be known by tourist. Applying booklet can add kinds of media to promote tourism object of the county of Solok. Key words: Tourism, Promotion, Booklet
