Abstract

Demand in transportation services such as travel in West Sumatera is increasing, so that the rivalry becomes strict. Every transportation service or travel bureau competes with each other to attract the consument's attention for that demand. It all can be seen from the tight rivalry on the service quality, price and promotion, among travel agency companies, there are some matters that are not fulfilled yet. One of them is the lack of promotion and the ineffectiveness of the information explained about the service or the tour package.Based on that problem, Web Design for Promotion of Asiatur Tour and Travel was made. In this design process, the writer used SWOT analysis method (strength, weakenesses, opportunity, threat). The writer did the analysis to the Web Design for Promotion of Asiatur Tour and Travel that has never been made before.As a revies on designing the web, it is supported with some media such as shirt, neck pillow, brochure, car branding, name card, and sticker which can promote the website of Asiatur Tour and Travel.Key Search: Promotion, Asiatur Tour and Travel, Web Design.

Abstract

The objective of this design is to design the pop-up book forRambun Pamenan Folklore of West Sumatera as communicative andeducative media in order to conserve the culture value for children as thetarget audience. The data is analyzed with SWOT method (strength,weakness, opportunitues and threat). Data collection is done by doingobservation method, interview and documentation. Pop-up book ofRambun Pamenan was designed by using the theory of visualcommunication design, children psychology, folklore, media, book, popupbook, illustration, color, layout and typography. Abstract

Alfafa is one of the businesses that produce quality cinnamon beverage drinks, which has been producing large amounts of syrup along with the many market demands. Established in 2005 based on TDI No : 888/.I/Indag/2005 and health service number P-IRT: 113150103024. Establish this business becausein the district of Kerinci is one of the largest cinnamon bark suppliers in Indonesia. With the aim of advancing the regional economy of Kerinci district.The purpose of designing Identity Visual Sweetwood Syrup of Kerinci Alfafa Regency is to create a new Visual Identity of Alfafa Cinnamon Sauce without losing its old shape, and also consideration of weaknesses, opportunities and threats hat compare to the packaging and brands of Alfafa Sweet Syrup with competitors.the design method begins with data collection, observation, interviews and documentation so that problems that occur in the promotion of Alfafa Cinnamon Syrup can be known, from the identification of the problem, by conducting SWOT analysis.The design produces the main media in the form of packaging that is packed in the form of thick paperboard with desplaying visualization and information from Alfafa Cinnamon Syrup. Abstract

The tourism of development in West Sumatra has began to show some seriousness into improvement about tourism programs. However, there’s still need to gain information and communication of tourism which will be need to improve akuratly, easily, and quickly obtained overview of the existing tourism in West Sumatra. So farness it doesn’t show how optimal the information and promotion performances do it by Departement of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatra, true print media so than will be need a booklet design with some source’s of information.The purpose of design is to produce a booklets as communication and information as well as promotion for the need of tourists who visit West Sumatra.First of all a design is convicted with main data: documentation, interview and observation, while additional data is began with book’s, education journal, and internet. Approaches of using data analysis 5W + 1H ( what, where, where, when, who, why, how) with maniest questions and answers as it’s troubleshooting key. Abstract

Dikie Pano Tradition is one of tradition located in the District Bonjol Pasaman regency that has the uniqueness of how to play it, the lack of information and the introduction of the tradition dikie pano starts form history, the ins and outs and the uniqueness of the main factor of the authors make Video Documentary Design Conservation Tradition values Dikie Pano to provide information about the tradition dikie panoVideo documentary is one of the effective media because the delivery of information through documentary video more easily attract the target audience the purpose of the documentary video is to preserve the history of tradition dikie pano and tradition Ambiak Abuak.This design method begins by pen a collection of data consisting of the main data: in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation, while additional data in the form of studies of various theories obtained through the internet. The data analysis approach uses 5W+1H analysis (what, where, when, who, why, how) with a set of question and answers as key troubleshooting. Abstract

Pop-up books are usually presented with the purpose of providingeducation to children in the form of children's stories, such as fairy tales or inIndonesia itself called folklore or stories that come from the community. Ingeneral, folklore in Indonesia is full of educational elements. One is the story ofthe people of Si Bujang: Asal Mula Burung Punai originating from the Pelalawanarea, Riau Province which tells of a boy named Bujang who is rebellious to hisparents, so Bujang is cursed into a bird of punai. The purpose of this folkloredesign in the media pop-up book in addition to mepopulerkan and turn alsoprovide education to the target audience about the moral upgrading of folklore Si Bujang: Asal Mula Burung Punai this through SWOT analysis method.This design will later generate the visualization of the story of SiBujang: Asal Mula Burung Punai because it is supported by illustrations andvisualization of three dimensions that are expected to increase reading interest for children, contributing in the scientific of Visual Communication Design and can popularize and preserve the tradition story of Pelalawan .The media battle of pop-up book Pelalawan's folklore as the main media,this design is supported by several other media such as: x-banner, poster, t-shirt, sticker, poster, pin, totebag, puzzle, and bottle drink that acts as main media supporter as well as a media campaign.Keywords: Media, pop-ups, books Children's stories, folklore, Si Bujang: AsalMula Burung Punai

Abstract

Kiniko Enterprise UKM in Tabek Patah, Batusangkar is a UKM engaged in food processing industry and traditional beverages as well as the tourism industry. This is through the use of culinary wealth and natural beauty of West Sumatra. One of the excellent products of this UKM is Robusta Coffee original West Sumatra. However, there is a weakness in the packaging of products, where packaging does not have a consistency of design and lack of attractiveness. In addition, the packaging of products is also not in accordance with the packaging of good coffee.This final work aims to get the design of packaging design more interesting and have differentiation value to Robusta coffee packaging owned by KINIKO ENTERPRISE. Packaging will be designed with a traditional-modern concept combined with warm-hearted colors. Differentiation will also be seen through the illustrations to be used. The design begins with collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis method is done through SWOT analysis (Strenght, Weakness, Oportunity, Treatment) which is then done by creative designing. In the design of packaging design shown through the layout, illustrations and attractive colors so get the right packaging design.The attractive and characteristic packaging designs will have appeal and are easy to remember by consumers, thereby increasing sales and competitiveness.Keywords: Packaging Design, Coffee, Kiniki Enterprise.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the causes of death in women, mostly because the patient comes at an advanced stage, and the symptoms are not perceived as a grave. The design of breast cancer risk awareness campaigns in adolescent girls in motion graphic media, aims to increase the awareness of young women against breast cancer is equipped with illustrations, text, colors, and audio. The purpose of designing this social campaign is expected to make young women sensitive and attention to the symptoms of breast cancer from an early age.The design method used by the author is started from data collection through interview and literature study. The design methodology in breast cancer awareness campaigns for young women uses SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Treatment). The delivery of information and messages in motion graphics is presented in an interesting form. The use of motion graphics contains moving audio and visuals that eliminate audience saturation when listening to information on the social campaigns that are aired.Keywords: Motion graphic, Danger of breast cancer, Young women.

Abstract

Bread and Cake Anita is one of cooky company in Payakumbuh. It is located at Kemuning Street number 9 at Koto Tangah, Payakumbuh. It was pionered by Anita Saura since 2007 by selling “ragam” cake and “bolu batik”. The target consuments of is company is especially for children at the age of 6-12 years old. This company has it’s own production place and distribution unit which distribute it’s products not only in Payakumbuh, but also to others regions like Duri and Pekanbaru.Actually, Bread and Cake Anita has logo but it did not have strong visual identity. It was caused by the logo didn’t use the principle and elements of design well. For examples, simplicity principle which can make the logo become simple and easy to remember, unity principle to get harmony impression in the logo when there was the form element that didn’t have relationship with this company that made the identity of Bread and Cake Anita Company become weak.Redesign of logo consist of collecting of the data, analize the data and redesign the new logo. Trough SWOT, data about Bread and Cake Anita and target consuments was analized to get a concept of redesign logo. In the process redesigning the new logo, the concept of redesigning was implemented creatively in visualized logo. As the result, a new logo of Bred and Cake Anita which consist of image of that company and actualized in the identity system of the company including stationery, supporting media like poster, x-banner, neon box, t-shirt, cup, sticker, secondary cover, so the new image of Bread and Cake Anita could be recognize by society.Key words: Logo, Redesign, Identity.

Abstract

Natural tourist attraction in Sungai Penuh City are Bulit Khayangan located in Renah Kayu Embun Village and Puti Senang Flower Garden located in Talang Lindung Village. The background of this documentary film is due to the lack of socialization and information to the public in preserving the tourist attractions. The documentary film aims to enable the public to know the tourist attractions located in Sungai Penuh City in order to be improved in the future. This documentary film is also supported by several other media that help the mainstream media to introduce the subject to audience as the target, such as movie posters, CD covers and CD labels, T-shirts, Stickers, flyers, X-banners.The methodology used is the 5W + 1H approach which is used as the basic concept of problem solving : what, who, when, where, why and how. The purpose of this 5W + 1H analysis is to give an overview of the results of the analysis used as the basis of objective preparation and strategy in design. Therefore, all aspects that are summarized in natural tourist attractions in Sungai Penuh City are able to be packed into documentary film media, so that the documentary of natural tourist attractions in Sungai Penuh City can be an effective and communicative media.Keywords: Documentary Film, Natural Tourist Attraction in Sungai Penuh City1Mahasiswa penulis
