Abstract

Indonesia has many tribes, one of them is Minangkabau. Minangkabau has many unique folklore that could be an education material for the people in this modern era, in example the story from Saniangbaka and Singkarak. The objective of the Tahalang Sumpah movie is to give information an educate about prohibited marriage between people from Saniangbaka with Singkarak.Descriptive qualitative method is used in this movie making process. The data are collected from interviews, observations, field notes, and documentations. This movie are made with theory of visual communication design, audio visual, cinematography, and layout. 5W=1H analysis is also used in the process.Supporting media such as movie trailer, Instagram account, original soudtrack, poster, x-banner, sticker, and movie screening inviation is created to support the movie exixtence.Keyword : Educational movie, prohibited marriage

Abstract

Today's entertainment world has experienced many improvements and is growing rapidly. The presence of entertainment service providers is a solution to meet the need for entertainment. Karaoke is one of the entertainment that is developing in Indonesia. Karaoke in Indonesia began in 1998, and until now the karaoke business has grown and attracted many people, therefore there is a karaoke service provider company that has a good brand quality, so they are the ones who deserve appreciation from consumers.The purpose of this design is a manifestation of the writer's desire to build a new and positive image from Ririez Karaoke. Karaoke place so far has a bad image in society therefore with this design is expected to be able to change the public perception about karaoke place and make Ririez Karaoke has its own image. This design is carried out through several stages, namely data collection, data analysis and design. The process of collecting data through interviews with owner Ririez Karaoke. While the data analysis process with the S W O T method is obtained through the collection of observation and documentation data directly to Ririez Karaoke.The Visual Design of Ririez Branding Karaoke The City of Mukomuko Bengkulu will produce the main media in the form of a Manual book that serves as a guide to applying the brand to be consistent and maintain the character of Ririez Karaoke. Abstract

This final work is to get an attractive package of coffee powder and can add a new target audience. Through the design of premium packaging, this business is expected to have a visual identity application that is able to attract the attention of the consumer audience so that in the future it can reach a wider target market.This design uses visual communication theory design, media, typography color and layout. Data collection begins with observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis method used is SWOT (Strenght, Weaknes, Oportuninty, Treatment)Design produces cans and pouches. Abstract

In this instant digital era, Visual Communication Design major in Universitas Negeri Padang  (DKV UNP) still does not have a fast, complete, and easy information delivery medium. Whereas  in addition to students and teaching staff, outside groups such as school students and industry professional also need informations of DKV UNP. So information delivery medium for educational institution such as website, is needed.The DKV UNP website is designed with good UI / UX to have a good layout and flow, so users  will not confused and difficult to find the information needed. Website content is arranged in order and grouping based on the user's profession and information, so that users can easily get the  information. This website is expected to be a profile publication media and presentation DKV that can be used for media announcements to students and staffs, media information for  students, prospective students, and industry professional, as well as archive media for alumni.In the troubleshooting process, 5W + 1H analysis (what, who, where, when, why, how) is used to  find the solution of the problem. In compiling the information retrieval flow, an observation of  user behavior and desires is used, and the results of studies and observations are arranged in a simple layout and do not confuse users. To support the main media, applications, manual books, guide CDs, motion graphics, e-banners, Instagram account feeds, and T-shirts, are made.Keyword : Website, visual communication design, user interface, user experience

Abstract

The Motion Graphic Media are designed to persuade the society to care more about the health of Bones. The expected audience for the media is those who are around 15 to 35 years old. By showing them about the causes and prevention efforts of Osteoporosis, it is hoped that they will start to take care of the health of their Bones.The method of designing the ladjamudin 2005 motion graphic, the design has the purpose of designing a new system. The stages in this design are fiber data collection data analysis. They are collecting the data, analysing them, and finally designing the media. Data were obtained from observation and interview with an orthopaedist. Later, they were analysed by using 5W + 1H. This design will be delivered in the main media in the form of motion graphics, and X-banner, posters, notebooks, CD covers, pins, towels and stickers as supporting media.Keywords: Osteoporosis, the Motion Graphic, Media

Abstract

Not all of the cat owners know how to treat and take care of the cats correctly. It might cause the cats  become sleazy. Meanwhile, the cat magazines with the edition how to treat and take care of the cats are still rarely found in Indonesia. The purpose of "majalah simanis" in the guidance to treat and take care of the cats edition is to give an informative and communicative information so that the information can be understood easily.This design methodology through the qualitative descriptive method. This means that data collected is not a number, but data derived from interviews, field notes, documentation, and official documents.Magazine is designed by using the theory of visual communication design, media, books, animal  magazines, colors, photography, layouts, and typography. The data were collected by using  observation method, interview and documentation method. Method of data analysis by using the  technique of 5W+1H ( what, when, where, why, who + how).The design of the magazine as the main media is also supported by several media such as posters,  x-banners, bookmarks, cat eating places, tota bags, small towels and medicine boxes that are useful  as main media supporters and as promotional media.Key Words : Maganize, Guidance, Breeding, Treatment, Cats

Abstract

The purpose of this scheme is to design the Faculty of Language and Art magazine Padang State  University as a media publication informative and communicative in order to fulfill all the information about all the activities that exist in the environment Faculty of Language and Art. Data analysis  method used is the analysis technique 5W + 1H, which is what, who, where, when, why, how. Data is collected using the method of observation interviews and documentation. Faculty of Language and  Arts Magazine Padang State University is designed to use the theory of Visual Communication  Design, media, magazines theory, layout, and color. Abstract

Generally, when a young man goes out of his hometown to other city, it is called as Merantau. On the other hand, in Minangkabau tradition, Merantau is when a young man goes out from Luhak Nan Tigo to Rantau city. Nevertheless, it is not as easy as people think to Merantau, because it should have a consideration for someone, especially young man, to go to Merantau. In some case, a family which is only lived a mother and the only one son, does the son go to Merantau or stay to take care his mother.The objective of this film planning was not only delivering the information about Merantau in Minangkabau tradition, but also showing mother’s feeling who was left by her son to Merantau. Thus, the Minang young man can be more considered before going to Merantau to leave his mother.This planning will be informed by film as a media. Film is chosen as media because it can be expected as one of strong media for delivering information; it has two factors, audio and visual. Story in a film usually is inspired from slice of life story. The method for this film planning was a research method with theory R&D step (4-D), and the data was found by interview and observation. For data analysis, it was used 5W + 1H (what, where, why, who, when, + How).Key Words: Merantau, Film, Production

Abstract

The aims of the design of the benefits of fruit and vegetable for children entitled Petualangan  Daisy bersama Peri Kebun was as medium of education and interaction in order to deliver the advantages of those fruits and vegetables. Afterward, it was expected that the children will interested in consuming fruits and vegetables because the nutrition in them is importance for development and growth of the children. Pop-up book was selected as one of the medium of learning for introducing children to the fruits and vegetables because it contains some interesting elements that will raise children’s enthuthiasm and passion in learning those knowledge.Method of analyzing data was 5W+1H technique in order to find the solution for the problem. Data were collected through interview and documentation. Pop-up book about the benefits of fruits and vegetables was designed through the theory of visual communication design, children psychology, medium of learning, pop-up book, illustration, color, layout and typography. Behind the pop-up book as the main medium, several stuffs like poster, x-banner, pin, sticker, coloring book, notebook and thumbler is served as the supporting medium.Kata kunci : buah dan sayur, buku pop-up, media interaktif, komsumsi.

Abstract

Folklore is a story that comes from a society and has evolved into a cultural characteristic. The author raised the story of the people of Pariaman namely Anggun Nan Tongga. The purpose of this design is in the form of comic book Anggun Nan Tongga and other supporting media to provide information directly and delivery of more detailed, communicative and effective. The method used in data collection is by conducting interviews, literature studies, observation, and documentation. While the method used to analyze the data is 5W + 1H analysis. The main media used in this design is the book while the supporting media used are t-shirts, x-banners, bookmarks, fans, stickers, wall clocks.Keywords : Folklore, Comic, Anggun Nan Tongga
