Abstract

Tourism in Indonesia today has seen significant improvements in the provision of tourism products, thus increasing the image to be better known as a tourist destination that presents natural beauty and cultural diversity. Along with the development of the world of tourism today, tourism products based on the traditional environment of the community as well as cultural tourism activities such as traditional ceremonies and religious rituals also get special attention for tourists both foreign tourists and local tourists. This study aims to collect data to solve the problems found in this study. While in particular, attraction of race track tradition in Kuantan Singingi regency.The data were collected by survey method with questionnaire. Data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative method with cross sectional. Cross sectional is a study that is used only once to describe the effectiveness of Promotional Media Cultural Events Pacu Jalur Kuantan Singingi. The sampling technique in this research is using accidental sampling technique, that is by giving questionnaires to the respondent who meet the writer in the field. A total of 100 visitors.After doing research and mengprestasikan results of research conducted in Kuantan Singingi. So the researcher can conclude several things that are as follows: 1) The high interest of visitors in witnessing the event tradition of the pathway this thing can be seen on the graph of the development of visitors to kuantan singingi in witnessing the race track, the highest is in 2014 that is as many as 285,000 people. 2) The creativity of the team to create a banner poster for this pathway event has an attractive color and also attractive graphic design.Keywords Media Promotion, Epic Model, Pacu Jalur

Abstract

Boardgame designing as educational media in the form of an entertaining game, is one of the alternative  learning media for teachers and students. The purpose of designing educational media boardgame is to  motivate activities, creativity, and sportsmanship in the development of science, skills, and attitudes in  children aged 6-12 years. The design methodology in designing boardgame through qualitative descriptivemethod with SWOT analysis approach (Strengt, Weakness, Opourtunities, Threats) can answer and solve problems and develop creative design idea. The result of boardgame design as main media with  specification in size (55x40) cm with game zone criterion in the form of world famous countries.  Supporting media in design consist of: rulebook (game manual), x-banner, t-shirt, keychains, mini  banners, posters and stickers.Keywords: Edukatif, Media, Board game

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to produce a promotional media package for Ulek Bulu Distro Clothing Lubuk Begalung Padang. This design aims to create a promotion design more effectively and efficiently, and can reach a broad target audience by being uploaded on social media. In addition, the presence of this promotional video can later show Ulek Bulu Clothing products so that they can optimize the promotion in introducing Ulek Bulu Clothing distro to the target audience. The method used to produce the design is a research-based design of observation data collection directly to the location of the Ulek Bulu Clothing distro. The design of the promotional video for Ulek Bulu Clothing Lubuk Begalung Padang distro produced a promotional media package, namely: video as the main media while supporting media in the form of: Backdrop, Banner, Sticker, Calendar, Poster, Flag Chain and Name Card.Keywords : Designing, Ulek Bulu Clothing and Promotional Video.

Abstract

Along with the progress of the development of information media and systems in the Digital era  and also soaring tourists in the area around the city of Bukittinggi so many hotels and inns  compete to attract tourists who need accommodation and can enjoy the natural beauty, history,  cuisine and culture. Grand Rocky Hotel has facilities with a four-star standard for a hotel in the Bukittinggi area on some sides there is still a shortage, Rocky Hotel is also equipped with tourist safety facilities It is suitable for tourists who want to enjoy the tourist objects around Bukittinggi. The target is not only domestic tourists but foreign tourists. In the past year, the number of tourists visiting the city of Bukittinggi reaches approximately 500-600 thousand tourists, including 75% of domestic tourists, and 25% of foreign tourists, Grand Rocky Hotel Rooms must be ready to  compete to get tourists who need Hotels.Using analysis and interviews with media promotion  media campaign managers who are interesting to support the promotional content of Grand Rocky Hotel in getting target consumers. The author chose promotion in the form of Audio Visual media, where promotion using Audio Visual was able to bring information and excellence of Grand Rocky  hotels to be accessible on the internet and social media. In addition to promotion in the form of  Audio Visual media as well as several other promotional media, to support the main media  promotion of Grand Rocky hotels, such as posters, flyers, Xbanner, paperbag t shirts, mugs, pins, cd covers, and cd labels.Keywords: Media promotion set, Grand Rocky Hotel video.

Abstract

South Solok a blend lowland, and highlands interspersed with rivers and mountains with tropical forests are  still beautiful, with such a natural condition that South Solok tourism store potentially very promising to be developed. One of the places from southern solok is Hot Water Boom Sapan Maluluang South Solok. The purpose of designing Visual Branding Hot Water Boom Sapan Maluluang South Solok hopes to bring a positive image through the approach of cultural values as well as introducing the assets owned by South Solok as a sustainable tourism destination.The concept of designing Visual Branding Hot Water Boom Sapan Maluluang Solok Selatan presents logogram and logotype taken from the concept that berakteristik in building verbal messages and visual messages. This design meteodology uses a SWOT analysis approach to find strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in developing the Hot Water Boom Sapan Maluluang Solok Selatan tour. Visual Branding Design Hot Water Boom Sapan Maluluang Solok Selatan applied to the main media manual book, and stationery set. Supporting media in the form of posters, x-Banners, mugs, stickers, t-shirts, brochures, and banners. Application of layout or layout of supporting media in accordance with the principles of design in order to get good results. Abstract

Lalang is an indie folk band formed in padang with an exploration of local music of indonesia that  contributed for the musics of indonesia. Lalang is an indie band that has it’s own characteristic  where the lyric vocalize about nature and life. This things makes their character even stronger.The purpose of designing promotion lalang music group thought video clip to be expected that  lalang would be more known in the public.Designed method of video clip is using descriptive qualitative method it means that the datas  collected are not in the form of number, but the datas form an interviews ans documentation.This video clip is designed using visual communications of design theory, cinematography, audio  visual, illustration, typography and colours. Datas collection was carried out using observation,  interview and documentation methods. Data analysis method uses 5w+1h (why, when, where, why,  who + how). Video clip design as the main media are also supported by another supporting  medias, such as cd covers, posters, t-shirts, drumsticks, guitar picks, key chains and stickers.  Which is useful as a supported of the main media and promotion.Keyword : Band, Indie, Folk, Lalang, dan Video Clip.

Abstract

Abstract—The use of information plays an important technology role in supporting the dissemination  information about promotions. The rise of the world of advertising using social media is one strategy that is considered effective and efficient to promote and publish tourism. It is undeniable that audio-visual media in the form of video is now often used to promote tourism objects. The selection of video promotion as this final work aims to design informative and communicative Audio Visual Media in building tourism in Tanah Datar Regency. In addition, the presence of this promotional video can later introduce Bukit Aua Sarumpun as one of the favorite tourist destinations for tourists. This design method is through qualitative descriptive method. This means that the data collected is not in the form of numbers, but rather data derived from interviews, field notes, documentation, and official documents. SWOT analysis (strenght, weakness, opportunities, threats). Abstract

Scouting is essentially an educational activity carried out outside the school campus and family  education environment under the responsibility of adult members, with the principle of scouting, an  important aim in education that is fun for young people with values based on Satya and Darma  Pramuka.The Book of Scout Guides for Elementary School is designed as a design solution for students who are  doing scouting activities. This book is re-designed using illustrations, text, colors, and attractive layouts  to suit the characteristics of children. The data analysis in the design of Scout Guidebook for Elementary School was carried out by SWOT analysis through data collected and observations to the  Quartir of the West Sumatra Regional Scout Movement, Padang State University Scout Activity Unit, and several Pandega, Trustees.The purpose of the re-design of this scout guide book was to produce a scout guide book for  elementary school children and presented in an interesting and communicative manner with  illustrations of different Indonesian scout characters with other scout book illustrations, as well as  information about personality education, personality formation activities, skills, and noble character of  scouts. The presentation of information on scout guide books for elementary school children with this  design is expected to increase the knowledge of scout alert students and provide benefits in scouting  activities.In addition to the Re-design of the Book of Scout Guides for Primary School, supported by several  media as the main media, this design includes other posters, x-banners, stickers, pencil boxes, drinking  bottles, and food boxes as supporting media books and as promotional media.Keywords: Re-design Scout Handbook, For Elementary School, Illustration

Abstract

The purpose of designing interactive educational media encyclopedia of astronomy is as an effort to increase  interest in reading in children as the target audience. There are a lot of books about astronomy, but the  interest in reading in Indonesia is very low, especially in the age groups of children at this time more opiate use gadgets such as smartphones. Research method that I use is the qualitative method. The design of this  interactive educational media using Visual Communication Design theory, interactive media, learning, logos,  illustration, typography, layout, and color. In the design of interactive educational media, the author uses the  method 5W1H (what, where, who, why, when, how). Abstract

The lack of spirit and motivation to develop self-potential in order to prepare a bright future in accordance of ideals or future goals making teenagers tend to fill the spare time with unproductive activities. One of  the few factors that cause this happening is entertainment media that is not educational. Focus, time and  energy of adolescents distracted from the important things such as learning, selfdevelopment and future preparation.In Rachel's Guitar Adventure comic design process, the author collected the data through observation,  literature studies and empirical experiences from the author himself. The data is processed through the  5W1H method. The results of the analysis are used as reference in designing the characters and writing  stories under fictional drama genre. The comic was made with digital techniques using Wacom Intuos  tablet through the Paint Tool Sai and Adobe Photoshop. The style of illustration is semi-realist which is arranged in a closed and open panel variation. Rachel’s Guitar Adventure was printed as a full-color comic book with total of 36 pages on A5 art paper. This design is also supported by additional media such as  T-shirts, note books, mugs, pins, stickers, posters and x-banners.Keywords: Education, Motivation, Comic, Ideals
