Abstract

This study aimed to describe the visual animation Upin & Ipin with research restrictions on the episode  "Ikhlas  dari Hatit". The method used is qualitative descriptive method qualitative interpretative analysis. The  research focus is on visual analysis (color, gesture and characters), with a little review of the episode "Ikhlas  dari Hati". Data analysis using study semiotics Barthes to see two levels of meaning (denotative and  connotative), with supporters of the theory of semiotics Peirce to see signs (icon, index and symbol), and the theory of Saussure to see a marker (signified) and the sign (signifier) in several scenes and visual (color, gestures, characters) in the animation Upin & Ipin documented writer. The results of the research conducted,  it has concluded that animation of Upin & Ipin have a good visual communication strategies in the creation of characters, both of gesture, color and character. Thus developed a strong character. The message conveyed is well conceived and delivery simple, so it can follow the story line and easily understood.Keywords: Animation, Upin & Ipin, and Semiotics

Abstract

The Pasar Seken of Bukittinggi city is a market area that sells various imported used clothing imported from various countries in the world. The clothes sold in the seken market have good quality at affordable prices. In its existence the seken market does not only become revenue turnover of the region but also becomes one of Bukittinggi's cultural heritageLack of understanding of the target audience and not optimal media in delivering information about the Bukittinggi Seken market is the main factor the author designed the Bukittinggi Secondary Documentary Video market. Documentary video media heritage of bukittinggi Pasa Seken is made in audio visual form so that the public can more easily understand information about the market as well as high. In addition to the documentary video, this information delivery was also supported by several other media that helped the main media to introduce the subject to the target audience, namely posters, stickers, t-shirts, pins, mugs, x-banners and wall clocks.The methodology used is the 5w + 1h approach, which is what, who, when (when), where (where), why (why) and how (how). By using the theory of 5w + 1h, all aspects summarized in the documentary videos of heritage of bukittinggi Pasa Seken can be packaged into audio visual media, heritage of Bukittinggi documentary videos Pasa Seken can be a media that has effective and communicative information for the target audience.keyword: Video Documenter, Pasar Seken, Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Padri War comic tells the story of a war between brothers (Padri War). This story happened in West  Sumatra in 1803-1838. This historical event made in comic form, aims toincrease interest in reading the  youth to learn history through the medium of interest.Based on the problems, they invented the design of comics history "Padri War". Comics can be used as a  means to convey a moral message and understood directly by sipembacanya. One of the advantages  of comics is an interesting image visualization and easily understandable language.The design of the comic supported by theory (1) The theory of Padri War history, (2) learning theory, (3) The theory of motivation teenagers (4) The theory of design, (5) Theory Illustration and (6) The theory of  comics. This theory is used as a support in the completion of the design of comic history Padri War in West  Sumatra "The Heroes of Padri"In the design of this comic, the author uses the data in the form of a SWOT analysis. In the design of this  comic is supported by several media such as art books, note books, paper bags, posters, pens, stickers, X banner, support in the design of this comic.Keywords: West Sumatra, Padri War, History Comics.

Abstract

Sweet Villy is a trademark created by The young entrepreneur named Ovilly Angnesia located at St. Tomat 21 Tangah Jua, Bukittinggi. Sweet Villy not Have corporate identity as a logo in the form of corporate identity.  The logo is the first thing to remember by the consumer of a product as well as a distinctive identity with  competitor in similar fields. Sweet Villy want to introduce products to consumers more broadly, but yes not yet have a corporate identity to distinguish it from competitors which is an obstacle if you want to introduce  the product to the consumer.The research method that I use is the qualitative method, while in the data analysis the authors use  analytical methods 5W + 1H (what, where, who, why, when, how). The design of the logo Sweet Villy  primarily as an initial identity trademark applied into the manual book. The main media used in the design of this logo is a media Sweet Villy manual book. Then the supporting media such as aprons, x-banners, posters,  stickers, pins, open closed sign, business cards, t-shirts, packaging, Instagram feed.Keywords: Logo, Sweet Villy, Identity.

Abstract

Not everyone knows how to make traditional cakes, especially West Sumatra local cakes made from rice  and glutinous rice flour which often appear in traditional events or family events. Meanwhile, a recipe book that specifically contains recipes from West Sumatra-based sticky rice cakes is still hard to find.The book "Cooking Traditional Cakes" Divided into three parts, namely the photo section that displays  photos of recipe-guided cakes, illustrations of baking ingredients and illustrations of how to make  cookies. Photos and illustrations are chosen to have an attractive appearance that is different from recipe books in general and aims to make information more easily and memorable. The purpose of designing  the book "Cooking Traditional Cake" is to make it easier for people to find information about the recipe for West Sumatra cakes, especially those made from sticky rice.In the problem solving process, 5W + 1H analysis is used (what, who, where, when, why, how) to find  solutions to the problems faced. In compiling prescription information, interviews and literature studies were carried out on the teachers of SMKN 9 Padang and the lecturers of the UNP Tata Boga Study  Program, then the results of the studies and observations were arranged in a simple layout and did not  confuse the user with a simple language style. To support the main media, supporting media are made, namely posters, Instagram accounts, aprons, spoons, post cards, bookmarks and stickers.Keyword : Books. recipes, illustrasion, cake, local.

Abstract

Promotion of Islamic SD Khaira Ummah that has been done through print media such as banners, brochures, calendars and banners. However, over the times and technology, the promotion can be done anywhere and anytime. So SD Islam Khaira Ummah need a media that will reach a wider audience and make it easier to access audience. Therefore it is necessary to design a media campaign SD Islam Khaira Ummah through audio-visual media where output or outcome happens in the form of a video company profile. Video company profile selected for the presence of these media can facilitate audience in knowing and understanding what is promoted by Islamic SD Khaira Ummah.In designing the company profile Islamic SD Khaira Ummah, the authors collected data through interviews, observation and documentation. After getting the data from SD Islam Khaira Ummah to solve the problems that exist, from the data above, the writer using the SWOT (strenght, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat Because by using the SWOT analysis can compare the strengths and weaknesses of existing on the SD Islam Khaira Ummah. Abstract

Currently, many superhero films that picked up the story as a story, fiction superhero film with the story of these preferred by many people in Indonesia, especially by teenagers. Superhero tale presented in the homeland at this time many came from the American company Marvel and DC. Of the many superhero who became an idol rarely found from the ground water.Fiction comic design objectives Ghatotkacha the Knights Heir and comics also selected as the primary medium for comics can convey the message effectively and what can be delivered immediately understood without having to think about it as a textbook, nor a novel. When compared to novels, comics advantages lies in the visualization.The method used dperancangan this comic qualitative data analysis methods used in the design of the comic's author using 5W1H (what, where, who, why, when, how). The author conducted an analysis of the Knights of comic fiction Heir Ghatotkacha that has never been made before.
