Abstract

Talang Babungo has the advantages of various potentials, natural and cultural wealth. However, the effective information media is not optimal to inform the area, so information on the film media profile of Talang Babungo is very much needed for the benefit of the general public and in the regions.The purpose of the design of the documentary film profile of Talang Babungo describes history, culture, agriculture, education, social and economics as the main media design in addition to other supporting media.The design methodology uses the glass box method. This method is a method of rational, objective and systematic thinking to logically examine things and be free from irrational thoughts and considerations. Metode data analysis were used that approach 5w + 1h that is what (what), who (who), when (when), where (in which), why (why) and how (how) are used as concepts in problem solving, the findings of the design produce films documentary Talang Babungo profile in the form of information and communication media.Keywords: Profile, Documentary film, Talang Babungo

Abstract

A lot of tourists visiting the city of Bukittinggi but still confused about any tourist attraction and how to locate the tourist attractions that exist in the city of Bukittinggi so that not all tours are visited by tourists, tourists still rely on asking in finding tourist locations so sacrificing a lot of time and energy.The purpose of digital infographic design is to make infographics about tourist attractions and tourist locations that are easily accessible and easy to understand, making it easier for people to know information about tourist attractions in the city of Bukittinggi, tourist locations, and introducing tourist attractions that are rarely visited by tourists.The method used in designing this infographic is a qualitative method. Qualitative research is research that is used to investigate, find, describe, and explain the quality or features of social influences that cannot be explained, measured or described.This infographic is made with the main media is an android application that is fast and easily accessible via a smartphone and made print features in the form of posters and brochures and other supporting media such as stickers, t-shirts, and totebag.Keywords: Digital Infographics, Bukittinggi Tourism

Abstract

Cafe Kapatoman was founded by Anil Basya in 2018, having his address at Taruko, Ngarai Sianok,  Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The absence of audio-visual promotion is very influential  on the existence and image of its business, so it requires the design of promotional audio visuals in  the form of videos with themes that represent the concept of the Kapatoman cafe. The purpose of this design is a manifestation of the author's desire that the Kapatoman cafe has promotional media in the form of audio visuals that aim to create informative and communicative information media, so that the existence of Kapatoman cafe can be known by the public.The design method of the Kapatoman cafe promotional audio visual is through descriptive  qualitative methods using the 5w + 1h analysis method (What, Who, When, Where, Why, How) The  orientation of developing this promotional audio visual design idea includes the main media in the  form of promotional videos and supporting media in the form of T-shirts, promotional cars, mugs,  xbanners,  audio visual promotion this promotion can have promotional media in the form of audio   visual which aims to create informative and communicative information media, so that the existence of Kapatoman cafe can be known by the public and the increase in sales of Kapatoman cafe sales.Keywords: Designing, Promotional Audio Visual, Cafe Kapatoman.

Abstract

The purpose of this design is to explore the historical value and evidence of the heritage of  Kejayaang Padang in the Old City so that people are more familiar with and get a visualization of the conditions of the Old Town of the past and present through photography. The design stage starts  from data collection, data analysis and design. The process of collecting data from observation,  interviews, and documentation. While the process of analyzing data using the 5 W + 1 H. methodThe design of the Padang Kota Lama exotica photobook produced the main media in the form of  photobooks arranged in a simple and elegant design style to be easily understood by the reader.  This design is also supported by several steps including bookmarks, postcards, stickers, posters,  wall clocks, Instagram accounts, and totebags which play a role in supporting the main media and promotional media.

Abstract

The book as the main object will convey the message of patients with major depressive disorders with sticker illustrations, then cause-effect and the initial solution to the problems faced by sufferers of major depressive disorders. Things that cannot be handled orally, can be changed in writing in which there is a form of activity. Thus conveying messages and lessons through media activity books will greatly help the patient's family and the patient themselves in dealing with major depressive disorders.In designing a book for major depression sufferers, the authors collected data through the method of observation and literature study and some empirical experiences that the author had experienced. The author processes the data using the 5W1H method. The results of the analysis are used as benchmarks in determining the layout. This book is done digitally using the Comic Intuos Pen Tablet type Comic and Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 software and Adobe Indesign CC 2018. The book will be in the form of stickers that are the lifeblood of the contents of the book. The style of illustration used on the stickers is manga, which is the style of chibi and emoji.Activity Books for Major Depression Sufferers are printed in the form of colored books with a total of 100 pages in A5 size with 100gsm HVS paper. This design is also supported by supporting media in the form of x-banners, posters, stickers, T-shirts, totebags, pins and acrylic key chains.Keywords: Books, Activity Books, Depression, Medical

Abstract

This article is intended to get an effective and communicative video design to introduce and provide information about tourism in Kerinci District through promotional videos. Kerinci is the main tourist destination owned by Jambi Province, is an interesting tourist attraction in Kerinci, such as Mount Kerinci tourism, Khayangan Hill, Lake Kerinci tourism, Telun Berasap waterfall tour, and also agro tourism, Tea Plantation. Tourism development is inseparable from communicative and informative promotions to be accessible to the wider community. Additional information about Kerinci tourism objects and also no use of visual communication media which consists of videos about the management of Kerinci attractions, making tourists or people outside the area do not know the details about tourism and what activities can be done on the tour.This promotional video was made using a qualitative research method using 5W + 1H analysis (what, who, when, where, why and how). Abstract

The purpose of this article is to design the Visual Identity of Gunuang Omega, Siamese oranges, in   order to provide a visual identity and identity for Siamese oranges from the Fajar Harapan farmer  group, which will function later as (1) Designing a logo to display identity, from "Gunuang Omeh"  Siamese oranges, so that consumers can distinguish "Gunuang Omeh" Siamese oranges from their  competitors. (2) Inform the public in the form of logos that oranges do not, limes mudiak, oranges  and various other nicknames are jesigo. (3 ) Designing a logo that attracts consumers / target  audiences to know and buy jesigo products. (4) As a promotional media and to create a visual  identity in the form of a logo from jesigo and can be applied to various supporting media such as,  Posters, Web Banners, Stickers, Totebag , TShirt, Stationary Set and so on. The design stage starts  from data collection, data analysis and design. Abstract

Naufal Mahri is a home-based business that presents a typical Indian snack performed by Syamsi's mother who is located in the city of Padang. This homebased business that was established in 1996 is still standing today, but this home business has not been recognized by indigenous people or indigenous Indonesians because the promotion of the owner only relies on word of mouth promotion. Visual branding has the main function of attracting attention. Making people interested in seeing, then getting to know the brand and finally being able to remember it is the goal of visual branding.The analytical method used in designing visual branding is the method of SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis is an analysis that discusses strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. The design process in designing the visual branding of Naufal Mahri begins with the process of collecting interview data and observing the Naufal Mahri products. The media used in the process of designing Naufal Mahri's visual branding is in the form of primary media, namely packaging and supporting media in the form of papper bags, x-banners, t-shirts, posters, stickers, business cards and key chains. Abstract

Maha Pudding is one of the businesses that provides dessert in the form of ice cream pudding located at Jalan Pemda, Pasar Bawah, Bukittinggi. Maha Puding was founded in March 2006 and managed by Anjar Rahman as the owner and founder of Maha Puding until now. Maha Puding requires a visual identity that includes logos, colors, and fonts, and rules in its application, according to the reference set by the designer in the manual book as the main media, in order to establish a consistent identity, enhance the business image, and become a distinctive and unique feature for Maha Puding.The design method that I use is the glasbox method while in the data analysis the author uses SWOT analysis, strength (weakness), weakness (Weakness), chance (Oppurtunity), and threat (Threat) from Maha Puding. The main media used in the design of the Maha Puding logo is the media manual book. Then the application media include business cards, envelopes, letterhead, sales invoices, stamps, table numbers, menu lists, aprons, t-shirts, posters and x-banners.Keywords: Visual Identity, Maha Puding, Logo

Abstract

The development of Padang State University towards quality universities is supported by the improvement of facilities, infrastructure, building facilities, transportation and management. However, the existing sign system facility has not been optimally integrated for the benefit of facilities for campus communities such as: Direction sign, identification sign, and information sign. The purpose of designing a sign system in the master plan of Padang State University as an informative, communicative and effective direction.The design method used is descriptive qualitative with an analysis approach of 5W + 1H (what, where, when, who, why, how), to see the issues raised. The main media used: Identification sign, direction sign, and information sign, besides supporting media for manual book, calendar, note book, work agenda book, and flayer.Keyword: Sign System, Padang State University, Media
