Abstract

The basic problem of this design is, high school students do not understand the event organizer, and are not optimal in carrying out activities or activities at the event. The purpose of this design is to help students better understand the event organizer, through an educational medium in the form of comics. The design method used is glass box, where the final result of a work has been drawn from a rational process. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data will be processed using the 5W + 1H analysis approach (what, who, when, where, why, and how). Creative approach taken using supporting media: stickers, posters, t-shirts, e-books, x-banners, tote bags and note books. This educational comic will use visual characters in the form of high school children, using formal and non-formal language, and interspersed with non-comic pages and panels that contain explanations, photos, or infographics to assist in explaining the material.Keywords: Comik, Education, Event, Organizer, Student.

Abstract

Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah Merancang sign system di Pasar Banda Buek yang memiliki  identity, untuk mempermudah pengunjung mengenali alur belanja dan tata letak pasar, dan  diharapkan mampu mengkomunikasikan informasi kepada masyarakat dengan cepat dan efektif.Metode yang dilakukan dalam perancangan sign system ini adalah melalui pendekatan Glass Box, dengan analisis yang digunakan adalah 5W+2H (what, who, where, when, why, how dan how much)  untuk menemukan solusi dari masalah yang dihadapi.Perancangan ini menghasilkan sebuah Sign system yang final desainnya dituangkan kedalam  Graphic standard manual sebagai media utama, dan juga didukung oleh beberapa media lainnya yaitu: : poster, t-shirt, appron, shopping bag, piring, gelas dan quote board. sebagai penunjang media utama dan sebagaimedia promosi.Kata Kunci: Sign System, pasar

Abstract

The purpose of the promotional video designer explains the history and uniqueness that exist in Goa Bau Kapal Tourism Balai Janggo, South Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province as the main media design in addition to other supporting media.Goa Batu Kapal Tourism is located in Jorong Sungai Kunyit Balai Janggo in South Solok Regency. Due to the lack of information, and the lack of effective information obtained so far, so many people or tourists who do not know about the tour of stone cave ships located in Nagari Balai Janggo, Solok Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province, for this reason, the authors designed a promotional video for rock cave tours. in South Solok Regency. To increase the number of visitors back to the rock cave cave tour, video is the main media for design, in addition to video there are a number of supporting media to support this video in the rock cave cave promotion so that the target audience is interested in the form of Poster, CD Cover, CD Label, Key Chain, Pin, T-shirt and TotebaThe methodology used for design is 5w + 1h which is used as a basic concept of problem solving, namely (what) what, who (who), when (where), why (why) and how (how). This 5W + 1H analysis is to illustrate the results of the analysis used as the basis or basis for preparing objectives and strategies in designing promotional videos. Abstract

The purpose of designing the tradisional Minangkabau Cak Bur picture game is to promote the Cak Bur game to children to be motivated to get to know, play tha game and love the game. Picture stories can not only be obtained through books, but now can be through digital media.Glass Box method is a method that thinks logically and rationally used in the design of tradisional Minangkabau Cak Bur picture games. Pictorial story theory, media, new media, books, visual communication designs, illustrations, layouts, colors, typography and childrens phychology are included in the theory in the design of picture stories in Cak Bur games. By using SWOT analysis to obtain data obtained in the design of picture stories.Digital based picture story design as the main media is also accompanied by supporting media to draw peoples attention to the process of launching picture stories, such as books, posters, x-banners, t-shirt, totebags and stickers.Keywords : games, tradisional, stories, media

Abstract

The purpose of this design is the introduction of nature, culture, and character of the people of Alahan Panjang, Solok Regency, which are promoted for publication through visuals in the form of English-based story books for children aged 9-12 years and fostering motivation to read children's interest in English and are expected to help teaching staff in schools and agencies in the method of learning English.The design of this book is through the method (Glass Box), which means rational thinking that objectively and systematically examines things logically, free from thoughts and irrational (irrational) considerations, such as sentiments and tastes. This method seeks to find facts and factual causes that underlie the occurrence of events and then try to find alternative solutions to problems that arise by analyzing 5W + 1H data (what, who, where, when, why and how) to find solutions to the problems encountered.The design of the main media produced a picture book with the title Jaka the Son of Durhaka as well as several supporting media such as posters, x-banners, stickers, totebags, pencil boxes, pins, drink bottles and picture books to support the main media.Key Words : Book, Comic, Language

Abstract

This studymaims to determinemthe effectooof brandssvariables and packaging design on the  purchase decision of the rexona method in Padang City. The population in this study is that all  consumers of dexorant rexona are unknown in number. Thersamples in thisiistudy werehUNP  students of 50 respondents.The data collection technique used in this research is using purposive sampling. Data collection  methods in this study were using questionnaires and interviews. This study uses quantitative  methods, data analysis with descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression.The results show that on average (1) brand image is in the high category, (2) packaging design is in the high category, (3) purchasing decisions in the category high, (4) there is a brand influence on purchasing decisions as much as 15.7% (r = 0.396 significance of 0.004), (5) there is an influence of packaging design on purchasing decisions of 16.9% (r = 0.411 significance of 0.003), (6) there the influence of brand and packaging design simultaneously on purchasing decisions of 26.8 (r =  0.518 significance of 0.001).Keywords: Brand, Packaging , Purchasing

Abstract

Pelecehan seksual terhadap anak terjadi karena komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak tidak terjalin dengan baik, mudahnya orang tua mempercayai orang lain, dan tidak memiliki pengetahuan untuk  pencegahannya. Dibutuhkan media kreatif yang komunikatif untuk mengedukasi orang tua dan anak dalam melakukan pencegahan pelecehan seksual itu.Perancangan Buku Cerita Bergambar Pencegahan Pelecehan Seksual pada Anak, penulis  menggunakan Teori Desain Komunikasi Visual, Teori Ilustrasi, Teori Media, Teori Cerita Bergambar, Teori Pelecehan Seksual terhadap Anak, dan Teori Psikologi Anak. Metode Perancangan yang dipakai adalah metode kotak kaca (Glass Box Method). Penulis mengumpulkan data melalui  observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Data diolah melalui metode analisis SWOT. Hasil Analisis digunakan sebagai acuan dalam merancang buku cerita bergambar yang bergenre Chapter Book sesuai umur audience yang ditargetkan  Gaya gambar yang digunakan adalah gaya cartoon style.Buku cerita bergambar ini memiliki judul Tobi, Unis dan Peri Biru. Perancangan ini memiliki media pendukung berupa e-book, x-banner, pin, stiker, kaos, tumbler, gantungan kunci, totebag, bag tag.Kata kunci : Buku, Cerita Bergambar, Edukasi, Anak.

Abstract

Winnie Fruit is one of the cafes that sells a variety of processed fruits into fresh and healthy preparations with the target audience of people who like a healthy lifestyle by consuming processed fruit. Winnie Fruit soup shop has similarities with other competitors and the use of media that supports Winnie Fruit soup shop logo is not yet effective.The design of this logo redesign considers layout and typography in order to achieve the purpose of the logo in an identity. Logo with shape, color, style of design that will form a new perception in the minds of the target community and increase the Winnie Fruit market so that it has a good image and has its own characteristics that are easily remembered by the target audience.The analytical method used is the SWOT analysis, Strength, Weakness, Oppurtunity, and Threat. to find solutions to problems encountered. The design process starts from data collection, observation and interviews with Winnie Fruit soup shop owner to find some weaknesses in Winnie Fruit products and collect the data needed to redesign. Abstract

Technological developments such as the Earphones are increasingly in demand among teenagers and adults. However, the danger caused by the use of earphones is less known by the target audience.The purpose of this design is designing a public service advertisement about the dangers of using earphones for the ears and brain on the educative and effective print ad media in an effort to sensitize Earphone users to be wiser in using earphones.The method used uses visual communication design theory, data collection, books, media information, illustrations, colors, layouts and typography. The results of this design are public service announcements about the dangers of using earphones for the ears and brain in Print Ad media. Print advertising (Print Ad) is the development of printing media that is able to attract attention and provide an alternative, especially for teenagers and adults to read it. The design of Print Ad as the main media is also supported by several media such as T-Shirts, Tote Bags, X-Banners, Pamphlets, Stickers and Pins which are useful as supporting main media and as a promotional media.Keywords : Danger Earphones, Public Service Announcements, Print Ad

Abstract

Thirteen years ago there was a phenomenon where traditional games in the Kerinci Regency began to be rarely played and began to disappear while children today don’t even know some of the traditional Kerinci games due to lack of information.The aim of the designer is to design a Kerinci Regional Traditional Game book optimally for information about traditional games for children, through informative and communicative picture books as a source of knowledge in the Kerinci Regency and to add a collection of books on the traditional district games.The method used in the design of a picture story book uses a combination of rational and systematic glass box methods and a 4-D model that includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate and analysis of 5W + 1H data which is used as the basic concept of problem solving.This design produced a draft of the Kerinci Regional Traditional Picture Book as the main media and was supported by several media: x-banners, posters, stickers, phleg chains, bookmarks, pins, totebags, and calendars.Keywords: Book, Picture, Game, Kerinci, Traditional.
