Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find how the effect of democratic leadership style on employee job satisfaction was. The object of the study was PT. Ciomas Adisatwa Palembang. This study used qualitative and quantitative methods consisting of two variables: democratic leadership style as an independent variable and employee job satisfaction as a dependent variable. The types of data used were primary and secondary data. Techniques for collecting the data were interview, observation, questionnaire, documentation and literature study. In analyzing the data, simple regression analysis and t-test were used. The result of the study showed that the democratic leadership style partially had a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. It could be seen from the R which was 0.626 that means there was a good correlation between the democratic leadership style and very good employee job satisfaction. In addition, the result of hypothesis testing through t-test also showed that the significance level was 0,000 which was greater than 0.05, and it means partially the democratic leadership style had a significant effect on employee job satisfaction.Keywords: Democratic leadership style, Employee job satisfaction, Humen resource management

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of Bidik Misi scholarship toward achievement motivation and discipline of Bidik Misi scholarship in Palembang. Types of data used were primary data and secondary data, collection techniques were questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The sampling technique used accidental sampling by the number of respondents was 100 respondents. The analysis model used two stage leasts ordinary square. The study concluded that Bidik Misi Scholarship programs had significant effect on achievement motivation Bidik Misi scholarship students in Palembang with a significance of 0.000, but did  not affect the discipline of scholarship students Bidik Misi in Palembang with a significance of 0.732.Keywords: Scholarship, Achievement Motivation, Discipline

Abstract

The financial performance is an important factor to attract investors to buy stocks. The stock value is determined by the price mechanism when the stock market is in progress based on the demand and supply of shares. This study was aimed to determine the effect of the financial performance by using ROA (Return on Assets), ROE (Return on Equity), and Operational Cost divided by Operational Income (BOPO) to the stock price of banking companies either partially or simultaneously. The sampling Development Bank listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the observation period of 2013-2016. The data used in this research was secondary data.The method of research analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis and assumption classical test. The research finding of F test showed simultaneously, the variable ROA, ROE, and BOPO had a significant influence on stock prices. Partially, with t test it showed that ROA variables had influence on stock price, but  ROE, and BOPO variables did not have influence on stock price.Keywords : ROA, ROE, BOPO, Closing Price

Abstract

The service quality ofo needs fulfillment, consumers desire, and its provison accuracy to meet consumers expectation. using the method of quantitative statistical research and data analysis techniques used was simple linear regression analysis.Since  t-count (11,505)> (2,368) and significant value (0,000) <(0,01). Wasmeansthe HO was rejected and Ha was accepted, then the service qualty significantly influence consumers satisfaction at Studio Ribka Photo Sekip branch in Palembang. Then, correlation  and determination test where they were  obtained correlation coefficient value of R = 0,598 which means that the correlation between service quality and consumers satisfaction was very strong that was  59,8%. After the correlation test was applied, it was followed by determination test. Determination test was done to see how much  the contribution of variable x to variable y, where obtained value of was R2 0,593. It could be stated that the independent variabel correlation between the service quality and consumers statisfaction was 59,3%, meanwhile the rest was 41,7% explained by other variable product, price, promotion, place, presentasi and personalia. Abstract

Earnings management is the selection of accounting policies by management that are useful for achieving certain goals. One form of earning management is income smoothing. The income smoothing can make the information in the financial statements so unreliable that the interested parties become incapable of making the right business decisions.This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, financial leverage, and dividend payout ratio to income smoothing either partially or simultaneously. The research was conducted at a manufacturing company listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015. The purposive sampling technique was used to obtain 26 manufacturing companies as sample members.This research uses quantitative data analysis method using SPSS version 16.00 as the processing tool. In this study where the independent variable is the income smoothing where the variable dichotomy scale, so the analysis used is Linear Regression Logistics. The dichotomy scale referred to in this research are doing income smoothing (2) and not doing income smoothing (1).Based on the results of research, Profitability, Financial Leverage, and Dividend Payout Ratio does not affect Partial Revenue Partially. However, if the effects are seen simultaneously, Profitability, Financial Leverage, and Dividend Payout Ratio affect Partial Revenue Partially.Keywords: Earning Management, Income Smoothing, Partial, Simultaneous Practice

Abstract

The competitive strategy is one way to know its competitiveness in every strength.The effective use of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis can play an important role in determining a competitive strategy, especially to know the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats the company faced in maintaining the sustainability and continuity of the company. This study aims to determine the SWOT analysis in determining competitive strategy at PT. Bank Sumsel Babel Palembang.The result of this research showed that the internal factor in determining the competitive strategy at PT. Bank Sumsel Babel Palembang comprised of strengths including: Good Corporate Governance and Bank behavior or culture, Positive Investment Climate and high morale, Positive Contribution to the community and environmental sustainability. And weaknesses include: Limited expertise, Lack of supporting facilities, Lack of supporting rules. Then from external factors in determining competitive strategy at PT. Bank Sumsel Babel Palembang comprised of opportunities include: Majority of the Palembang people, by having a Cooperate, it will result the High Potential Communities. Abstract

In this study, the authors take the title "Influence of Employee Compensation Motivation.MNC Leasing  company palembang". This research was conducted by the author is to determine how much influence the compensation on employee motivation MNC Leasing  company Palembang. This research uses quantitative data analysis techniques. The research data was obtained from the respondents (questionnaire) in company MNC Leasing  , in this case the primary data that is diteknik pemgambilan the data obtained from the MNC Leasing  company. The statistical analysis used in this research is regression analysis and hypothesis testing using the program SPSS 16. The results of this study indicate that there are significant compensation to big motivation that can be seen from the results of the variable coefficients x of 56.4 percent, the presence of a considerable influence on employee motivation in the MNC Leasing  company will certainly be able to improve progress for the company, can also be the prosperity of employees working with bonuses for their hard work on the profits earned by the company as compensation makes employee motivation increases and would make the company's productivity increased well.Keywords : Compensation , Motivation Productivity, Employee.

Abstract

Payroll data processing system employees at PT.Freight Express Palembang is still simple. Employee data every month is still recorded in a special book, and to submit proof of salary report is still conventional. The problem that arises is the inconsistency of data that can cause data kerangkapan, if the search data takes a very long time because it still uses a conventional system, and data security was still not guaranteed which was implemented well in order to facilitate the processing of payroll, report and salary slip. In this study, qualitative analysis method was used. The data was analyzed by using information and description in the form of prose or standard languages, then it was correlated to other data in order to get clarity of the truth or vice versa, and to obtain new description or to strengthen the description that already existed and vice versa.The type of data used was primary. In collecting the data, interview and documentation were used. The result of the study was expected to be able to provide information about the payroll system so that PT.Freight Express Palembang could control the payroll well and run as expected.Keywords: Internal Control System, Payroll,authorization system

Abstract

Working capital is very important for any company, because almost all companies need working capital to finance day-to-day activities operasinal. Companies are required to constantly improve its efficiency so as to achieve the objectives expected by the company to achieve the optimal profit. In the absence of sufficient working capital, the operational activities of a company may not run smoothly. This study aims to find out how the capital adequacy ratio. This research was conducted at PT Mitra Ogan plantation. The data used are secondary data from the financial statements Plantation Mitra Ogan. Where the results of analysis of the capital adequacy ratio at the company's work will provide an overview of how the company can manage its working capital well. If the company can use working capital well, it will obtain sufficient capital. Abstract

This examination is intended to test the impact of Intellectual Capital against companies that were included in the Kompas 100 Index in Indonesia stock exchange (BEI) 2013-2015. Dependent variable in this examination is Return on Assets (ROA). The independent variables in this examination contain Capital Employed, Human Capital, and Structural Capital. Researcher obtains the data by observing the annual reports and financial reports of these company by the internet (website http://www.idx.co.id). The population in this research are companies that were included in the Kompas 100 Index in Indonesia stock exchange (BEI) 2013-2015. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method and obtained 34 companies being sampled, so it becomes 102 data. Analytical techniques used is multiple regression analysis.The result of the examination shows that not all independent variables have an effect on firm’s performance. Simultaneously, all independent variables have significant effects. But partially, only Capital Employed which has significant effect on Return on Assets.
