Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the engineering and economic evaluation of the manufacture of zinc oxide (ZnO)  nanopowder by coprecipitation method. Economic evaluation is carried out with several parameters such as: GPM (Gross Profit Margin), PBP (Payback Period), and CNPV (Cumulative net present value) based on simple mathematical calculations using the Microsoft Excel Application. From the project feasibility test it was found that the project suffer a financial loss if the tax paid was 100% and the selling price was less than 90%. The project can produce as many as 1,1017 tons/year of ZnO nanopowder. ZnO nanopowder production can provide benefits up to 76%. Economic evaluations show positive results because the payback period (PBP) occurs around the 4th year, and profits will continue to increase until the 20th year. Thus, the production of ZnO nanopowder can be considered a lucrative project.

Abstract

Pancasila is the ideology, guideline and basis of the Indonesian state. The five precepts of Pancasila are the embodiment of the basic values that come from real values in people's lives. Pancasila as a guideline for the community in carrying out an action and can be used as a rejection of values that are not in accordance with the Pancasila. In the development of today's society, the term millennial generation appears. Millennial generation is a generation born of the rapid development of Technology and Communication Sciences. Millennials include generation Y where in every life can not be separated from the influence of technology in various fields of life. But in reality, millennial geners in Indonesia are increasingly alarming. There are various problems facing the current millennial generation which are the challenges of the Pancasila in dealing with them. Such as the anti-social attitude, the influence of hoaxes, and the influence of hedonism on the millennial generation which is a deviation from the implementation of the Pancasila.

Abstract

Penghujung tahun 2020 Indonesia masih dilanda Covid-19 data sebaran terbaru menunjukan masih tingginya pasien Covid-19. Penerapan pembelajaran disaat pandemi Covid-19 dilakukan secara virtual.  Pengguna platfrom pembelajaran online mau tidak mau harus dapat mengakses internet dengan menggunakan smartphone, laptop maupun personal computer. Lamanya menatap komputer ataupun smartphone memberikan efek mata lelah. Upaya yang sebelumnya  dilakukan untuk mengurangi kelelahan mata akibat menatap terlalu lama menatap komputer ataupun smartphone yaitu dengan menambahkan screen protector, tetapi screen protector tidak dapat menjaga mata terus menerus sehingga diperlukan sebuah suplemen yang mampu memberikan nutrisi untuk mata agar tetap terjaga kesehatannya. Wortel dan tomat merupakan sumber makanan yang kaya akan vitamin A. Pembuatan permen dari bahan dasar wortel sebagai solusi penambah vitamin A dengan menambahka tomat dan ekstra propolis produk permen ini tidak hanya penambah vitaminA tetapi dapat dijadikan sebagai permen kesehatan gigi.

Abstract

Poly lactic acid yang dibuat pada penelitian ini menggunakan asam laktat dari bahan baku limbah kulit pisang kepok. Polimerisasi asam laktat menjadi poli asam laktat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ring opening polymerization. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi katalis dan waktu polimerisasi asam laktat terbaik dalam mendapatkan yield poli asam laktat yang tinggi. Dimana konsentrasi katalis stannous oktoat yang divariasikan adalah 5%, 6% dan 7% dan waktu reaksi 80 menit, 100 menit dan 120 menit. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis gugus fungsi dengan menggunakan Fourier Transform Infra Red Spektroscopy (FTIR), Uji titik leleh dengan Difference Scanning Calorymetry  dan uji Scanning Electron Microscope. Hasil uji FTIR diperoleh Poly Lactic Acid memiliki gugus –OH, hal ini menunjukkan  bahwa bahan baku adalah murni atau memiliki pengotor yang sedikit sehingga diperoleh PLA yang memiliki sifat yang sesuai dan tidak jauh berbeda dari standardnya. Untuk uji titik leleh didapatkan nilai transition glass dan transition melting berturut-turut yaitu 60,5oC dan 115,4oC. Jumlah poli asam laktat terbanyak diperoleh dari penambahan katalis 7% dan waktu polimerisasi 120 menit, yakni dengan yield  47,442%.Kata kunci: Kulit Pisang, Poli Asam Laktat, Polimerisasi Pembukaan Cincin.

Abstract

Noise exposure can occur at any time and interfere with a person's psychological and biological condition. Alternative materials from banana midrib and soybean dregs can be used as sound absorbers based on their characteristics and abundance. This research aims to analyze the optimal composition for sound-absorbing composite materials from banana midrib and soybean dregs and the effect of adding a layer of varnish to its absorption capacity. The method includes the manufacture of the sample, the impedance tube, the box acoustic approach, and the CCD test. The drying process of banana midrib is divided into two types, namely those that are dried in the sun and oven with the banana midrib having gone through a 5% NaOH immersion process before drying. The application of varnish on the sample used the cold spray technique so the layer is not thick and provides durability and resistance to the sample. The impedance tube was carried out to analyze the value of the sound absorption coefficient of the sample at several frequencies which were then averaged. After being tested with the box acoustic approach, the sample has the ability to reduce sound when applied to the walls of the room with an average percentage decrease of 10.84%. Through the CCD test, it is known that the size and number of pores distribution affects the sound absorption capacity. Banana midrib and soybean dregs can be used as an alternative to sound absorbers with the average value meeting the ISO 11654 standard, which is 0.15.
