The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the promotion strategies undertaken by the Library Hall of Languages â€‹â€‹Padang. (2) describing the obstacles encountered in the promotion of Library Hall of Languages â€‹â€‹Padang. (3) describe problem solving in the face of obstacles promotional Language Institute Library Padang. Data through observation and interviews with librarians Library Language Institute Padang. Data collection was done descriptively. The findings of the study: first, pomosi strategies that exist in Padang Language Center Library include: establish communication with pemustaka, build cooperation with third parties, Constructing promotion programs, and work plan. Second, the constraints faced by the Library Hall of Languages â€‹â€‹Padang in library promotion are: (1) human resources, (2) limited funds, (3) facility. This research aimed to (1) describe the circulation service activities, (2) explane the chalanges faced in circulation service at the library of elementary teacher education department, education Facultas in Belakang Balok Bukittinggi. Method of research was observasion and interview. The research result showed that this library apply open access sistem in circulation service and use the browne system in borriwing. The chalanges in implementary this system were(a) borrowing and return procers in the same desk,(b) the difficulty in return the book into the book shelf, and the overdue in returning. Based on the results of the analysis of these data, it can be drawn a conclusion that user attitude towards services provided in library circulation Bung Hatta Bukittinggi, in terms of attitudes towards service consumer of library member registration, loans, returns, billing, as well as sanctions against the delay user the return of library materials that have exceeded the time limit borrowing, the average pemustaka agree with the system of services provided by the library staff Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. Because with the services provided are not burdensome and difficult for any used who came to the service at the library circulation Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. Judging from the attitude towards statistics library that is not on display at the library, user not agree with that. As for the statistics of Bung Hatta Library Bukittinggi, does not meet the standard of a library. The work done by librarians for library circulation service at Bung Hatta Bukittinggi in improving circulation service is to improve the performance of such services librarian at the library membership registration maid service, borrow and return library materials. This paper discusses about system of the process of active dynamic archives at library, Archives and Documentation office of Pesisir Selatan Region. The purposes of the research are to find:(1) The system of the process of active dynamic archives such as: The saving instrumentation, the saving system, the lending, the inventing, keeping, moving and destroying archives system. (2)Â The problems which face at the library, archives and documentation of Pesisir Selatan. The data were becolletted by doing interview, library research and observation. This paper is aimed to describe about the maintenance and preservation of library materials in SMAN 7 Padang dealing with: (1) the factors that caused damage in library materials in SMAN 7 Padang, (2) how to prevent the damage to library materials in SMAN 7 Padang, (3) the constraints faced in the maintenance and preservation of library materials SMAN 7 Padang.Data were collected through observation and interviews with librarians in SMANegeri 7 Padang then from other materials that are supportive. From the analysis and discussion of the study, the result was found as the following: First, the damage of library materials in SMANegeri 7 is caused by factors of physics, biology, chemistry, and humans. Second, the maintenance of library materials in SMANegeri 7 Padang has been done but not optimal yet, such as cleaning the books from dust by using a feather duster and wipe dry. Third, SMANegeri 7 Padang does not have professional staff and also lack of funds to maintenance.Based on the conclusion above, it is suggested as follows. First, it should have professional librarians there. Second, the school should pay more attention to the library by providing the funds for maintenance of library materials. The purposes of the study were to (1) tell the procedure of the storage active dynamic archive at the administration office in Pertiwi 1 Senior High School Padang, (2) the problems that occurred by the administration by using storage active dynamic archive in Pertiwi 1 Senior High School Padang. Tha data was collected by doing observation and by interviewing the administration staff in Pertiwi 1 Senior High School Padang. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that: first, the procedure of the storage active dynamic archive in the administration office in Pertiwi 1 Senior High School Padang does not use index it spends much time to find the archieve. Second, the problems are (1) the placement of human resources does not effective, (2) lack of instruments that are needed to save the archive, (3) the space for the storage is narrow and limited that makes the archives pile up. This paper discusses the Library Collection Development in Libraries Kopertis Region X. The purpose of writing this paper are (1) to describe the development process is done in the library collection Kopertis Region X, and (2) to describe the kind of collection that was developed at the Library Kopertis Region X. Data collection in the study through the method of observation and interviews. Based on the data it can be concluded peganalisisan first, the development process is done in the library collection Kopertis Region X is still a selection of library materials and library provision. The problems studied in this paper are (1) users opinion about service referenceÂ (2) the user need for service reference. To describe: (1) the user opinion to service reference and (2) the user need about service of reference. This study belongs to qualitative research methodology descriptive data were collected through interviews and observations of service reference. Therefore, sampling data analysis by fortunity. Based on this research, First, users opinion about the service reference, and (1) librarians often leave the room service reference, (2) often the information sought can not be found by pemustaka, (3) unstructured information sources, so it takes a long time to trace. Second, the users need for services of reference, (1) oral (2) written. The conclusions that can be made â€‹â€‹based on the results of the following research first, librarians should not have to leave because his presence is more needed than the existence of a reference collection.
