The purpose of this paper is describing process and construction of thesis index (S2) annotated Indonesian Language Teaching study Program 2005-2013 in Undergraduate Program of Padang State University Library. Collecting the data was done by observation and directly participation by collecting data from authentic source. Data analysis is descriptive method. The process of construction this thesis index annotated was started by examining thesis information that will be indexed, and then selected, grouped, noted the data, created the annotation, determined the key words, created the thesis index, and typed the index. This study aimed to describe: (1) use of the library as a learning resource, (2) the constraints faced in the use of the library as a learning resource, and (3) what is being done Wira Lisna orphanage library in providing learning resources. Data were collected through observation and interviews in the Library Orphanage Lisna Wira. Data analysis was performed deskriptif.Dari result of the discussion was found as follows: First, the use of students in the library at the orphanage Padang Springs Wira Lisna not fully utilized. This is because the librarians are less oriented in building students' interest in reading, in terms of a collection of books owned by the poor students complete. Collection consisted only of old books, there is no renewal of the collection of its kind. This is a cause that underutilized library as a learning resource., As a protÃ©gÃ© of elementary, middle and high school lesson rather seek to internet sites that tend to bring the ill effects on the students. Second, constraints are: (1) the library is not professionally managed, so that visitors do not know the importance of the library as a learning resource for children, (2) the lack of reading materials in the library collection Panti AsuhanWira Lisna so visitors do not use the library because libraries are not material can meet the needs of visitors, (3) the efforts made in the use of the library are: (1) the holding of the renewal of the collections in the Library Orphanage Lisna Wira, (2) open and direct students learning Librarianship as a guideline, (3) improve facilities and infrastructure, and (4) expand and improve human resources in the Library Orphanage Lisna Wira. The purpose of this research were to the use of e-journals subscribed library Andalas University School of Medicine for medical students. Data were collected through direct observation and questionnaires. By analyzing the data, it was concluded the following. First, medical school students to access e-journal as a learning facilities provided by the library. Second, the benefits of e-journal is not only limited reference to the percentage of lectures and student assignments. E-journal information as well as research materials, consideration concoction of drugs, consideration of disease prevention, disease diagnosis consideration. Third, students access the e-journal is not always rely library service hours and a certain place, but can be anywhere and anytime who have the facilities to connect to access e-journal. Fourth, the sources of e-journals accessible to students depending on the level of information needs, the most important is the medical database or website that references a source-to-date information. More and more in knowledge and research, the more in the need of information you want extracted and obtained for students. Keywords: e-journal; library; medical students

This paper describes the process of catalog penuliasan student thesis by using Microsof Access at Bung Hatta University Library Padang. This study aimed to describe the process of cataloging and Industrial Engineering student thesis by using Microsof Access 2010 at the Bung Hatta University Library Padang. Data were collected through observation and direct observation during fieldwork prektek at Bung Hatta University Library Padang. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, writing the catalog summed up as follows. 1) The process of making catalogs: a) call namber, b) the title of the thesis, c) description of the author, d) tension edition, e) imprensum, f) a physical description of the thesis or collation, 2) Making use of Microsof Student Thesis Catalog acces 2010. The purposes of this study were to (1) describe interpersonal communication relationship between the librarian with user, (2) describe the constraints and solutions obtacles encountered in establishing communication with user at the Library of SMK Negeri 2 Padang. The constraints obtacles encountered in establishing communication with user at the Library of SMK Negeri 2 Padang. Based on analyzing the data, it was concluded. First, at the Library of SMK Negeri 2 Padang between the librarians and users are not intertwined interpersonal communication (interpersonal) as only librarians are trying to communicate to the user. cause the user does not want to communicate the librarian because the librarian was not able to give information that is easily understood by the user. Second, the constraints faced in entablising communication between libraria with user at SMK Negeri 2 Padang is: (1) Interpersonal communication is only one way, (2) users do not reveal information to the librarian, (3) there is a difference of opinion between the user librarians. Third, the face solution constraints in establishing communication is: (1) helping users find the collection, (2) develop the ability to communicate, (3) the dissent evaluate. The purpose of this study is to describe how the students of Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University determine the credibility of health information retrieved from the Internet. Data was collected through observation and interviews toward the Faculty of Medicine students. Data was analyzing descriptively. The findings of the research is a few criteria to determine the information credibility, such as (1) appearance, (2) the author, (3) the numbers of advertising and, (4) affiliate institutions. It is suggested additional criteria to determine the credibility of health information, those are (1) notify the E-health field, (2) compare the information on the internet to information in printed books. Access policies and archive service aims to: (1) Make archival material can be accessed by the user, both for official as well as serve the needs of the public by using the archive depot repenstatif but at this point has not been performing well., (2) low human resources, because the officer who manages the archive does not have the educational background of archival science is able to carry out operational tasks in accordance with the demands that it should, so the archivists have not fully participate in serving visitors to find the information needed. Therefore it is advised: (1) the library should dare budgeted for security archive using the archive depot repenstantif unused in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation of Bukittinggi, (2) Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Bukittinggi should propose additional staff records of archival science educational background to the area staffing agency (BKD), because workers archival science background knowledge about the intricacies of the parent organization in which he works; archivists must actively serving visitors to find the information needed. This study aimed to describe the characteristics and availability of literature cited in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student Thesis of 2012 in the Library of the Medicine Faculty, Andalas university. This study is descriptive quantitative research that is the subject of the entire thesis, which has 21 theses. Object of research is all citations contained in the bibliography thesis studied. Data collection techniques used was documentation technique with the application of citation analysis methods. Instrument that used is secondary data. Data analysis is the data tabulated and analyzed based on the percentage and it presented in tabular form. The results showed that the characteristics of the cited literature that there are 19 types of literature with a total number of 848 citations. Kind of literature the most widely cited is a book that is 399 citations (47,05%). Title of literature that is often cited is the Journal of Nutrition 18 citations (2,12%). Author who often cited is Guyton about 10 citations (1,18%). The dominant language of literature cited is Indonesian, namely 451 citations (53,18%). Half life literature cited in the thesis is 9,37 years. The Percentage availability of the cited literature as a whole is 57,55% and 42,45% not available at the Library of the Medicine Faculty, Andalas University. Preparation of this paper aims to: (1) Knowing about the media than conventional filing in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation of Bukittinggi. (2) Knowing the constraints that affect the transfer of conventional media file in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation of Bukittinggi. To obtain information on the issue, conducted direct observation Perputakaan Office, Archives and Documentation of Bukittinggi and direct interviews with archivists. Conclusions are obtained as follows: (1) knowledge of the staff archivist in the technology field is very low. (2) Lack of equipment and technology as well as in the processing room archives inadequate. (3) Lack of funds and the budget of the government of Bukittinggi is the bottleneck in the implementation over conventional archival media. (4) As a center of information, education and research need to perform a wide range of businesses that should be planned, implemented as possible in making improvements to realize the function and purpose of the archive.
