This paper discusses about staking out of website based information investigation media in library of Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas (UPTD Balatkop) of west sumatera. This study is purposed for staking out of website as a information investigation media in library of UPTD Balatkop of west sumatera, with the result can be accessed by users as online. Staking out of website based information investigation media in library of UPTD Balatkop of west sumatera is dynamic, use Xammp as server local, Notepad++ for designing pages, PHP as language programmer and MySQL as database storage. Notepad++ is a language editor text and as editor of source code which is running in Windows operational system. Script code that used on notepad++ is PHP. This research is qualitative with deskriptif method. Data is collected by direct observation to the field research by observing information investigation that is used in library. Based on data analyzed, it can conclude that: (1) information investigation is a part of a process invention of information for user needs about information needed, by helping from any investigation tools and discoverer as having by information unit; (2) information investigation media in library of UPTD Balatkop of west sumatera just uses card catalog. In this time, the media for information investigate already sophisticated, that is website based investigation meia. But, it that library is not have yet media for information investigating that can be accessed in 24 hours by using own web. Keywords: Media Information Investigation and Website

This article discusses the development of library collections in the Archives Library and Documentation Padang. Panelitian method used through observation, interviews, and literature. Based on analyzing the data can be summarized as follows: First, the process of the development of library collections in the Archives Library and Documentation Padang form of procurement of library materials and the selection of library materials. Secondly, the constraints faced in conducting library collection development policy that is not in writing, not to have a special room to perform collection development, not maximum performance of librarians, and the lack of facilities and infrastructure. Third, should the Office of Library Archives and Documentation Padang has a written policy, has a special room to perform collection development, giving a clear assignment to any activity undertaken by a maximum librarians, particularly in library collection development activities, and Libraries Office of Library and Archives Padang documentation must consider infrastructure and facilities needed for all activities run smoothly. This article discusses the behavior of students in the search for information in the library SMA 6 Padang. This paper was written to describe the Information Search Behavior Students in Senior High School Library 6 Padang. Based on data analysis, concluded the following things. Students in library information retrieval SMA 6 Padang can be seen through the following strategies are used: (a) the general students who visit the library to look for information purposes; (b) in search of information some students use the catalog to search for information; (c) the majority of students choose a book as the source of their information; (d) information retrieval became very important as an information service or library is how to meet the needs of the user requesting the information unit how to find the requested user information and helps users to find the desired information. This article discusses Fulfillment pemustaka Information Library and Archives in West Sumatra province. Preparation of this article aims to describe: (1) the type of information needs of the visitors, and (2) the relevance of library materials to the needs of the visitors information. Relevance in the context of this study is defined as suitability, linkage or alignment between the library materials available to the needs of the visitors who use it. Based on analyzing the data summarized as follows: (1) the information needs of the visitors have not been fulfilled to the fullest because library materials are not required to follow the development of information and the latest updates or not. (2). based on the type of the visitors to the information needs of library materials available are less relevant to the information needs of the visitors. Writing this article aims to: (1) describe the creation of the archive in the Office of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the province of West Sumatra; (2) describe the use and maintenance of records in the Office of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the province of West Sumatra; (3) describe the depreciation records in the Office of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the province of West Sumatra. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded: (1) the creation of records in the Office of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the province of West Sumatra there is no serious problem that occurs due to the life cycle of records; (2) the use and maintenance in the Office of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the province of West Sumatra has a limited budget so that funds infrastructure not materialize; (3) depreciation records in the Office of Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the province of West Sumatra has not been done because each unit to keep its own archives. This paper describes the cross-reference in National Library and Archives ofÂ West Sumatera. The procedure of storage for cross-reference, and the obstacle that has happened by using the cross-reference in National Library and Archives of West Sumatera. Therefore the institute aware about the problem that hasÂ happened. The theory in this papers related to the archives that have contained meaning, purpose, advantages, and the types of archives. The methods that has used in writing this papers is the field observation and interviews with staff at the Library and Archieves ofÂ West Sumatera. Analyzing the data were analyzed descriptively. Data retrieval is done by using an interview guide in the form of a question, a tool used for doing the interview using (pens, books, as well as camera and a voice recorder). The research object interview with Kasubbid of Repertoire of Services and Expansions of the agency named Mrs. Kiswati, SS. MPA in the National Library and Archieves in West Sumatera. Based on study, we can conclude the folowing: (1). the storage of archieves or document for cross reference has made by two storages area that are in its won box and its own folder. For filling a separate box or boxes of documents stored in filling cabinets, while a separate folder using hanging folders stored in filling cabinets and filling the storage cabinets; (2). The using of cross-reference in the National Library and Archieves of The West Sumatera as a reference or guidelines that has problem with two storage areas. In using of Cross-references depends on the archivists to decide an archieve that has needed the cross-refference or not; (3). Constraints in the use of the cross-reference in The National Library and Archives ofÂ West Sumatera are: the use of cross-reference depends on how the person who do the cross-reference, the lack of human resource as specialized training in conducting cross-reference, other than that, the lack of coordination between the ares in National Library and Archieves in West Sumatera to appoint a cross-reference on archival paper, which in fact shows a cross only for files that have attachments such as photos, maps, blueprints, tapes, and films, as well as a lack of budget or funds to conduct the cross refference. This article discusses the influence of library services to the satisfaction of the visitors at the Library of the State University of Padang. This study aims to determine the effect of library services to the satisfaction of the visitors at the Library of the State University Padang. Data collected through questionnaires and observation. Â Based on analyzing the data, it was concluded the following matters: (1) services in the Library of the State University of Padang less satisfactory, because it appears that the existing services at the Library of the State University of Padang not provide optimal service; (2) State University of Padang library atmosphere is quite comfortable for the visitors; (3) State University of Padang less librarian guiding the visitors during a visit to the library; (4) Library, State University of Padang quite a positive impact on the visitors. Based on the observation, the book lend and give-back process in the Documentation, Archive, and Library of Padang Panjang was not good enough. The librarians still did simple record by usng Microsoft Excel which record the member data per sheet. This process was found to take long time and was ineffective. It will different if the librarian use the new book lend and give-back information system. The objective of this information system design is to help Documentation, Archive, and Library of Padang Panjang in book lend and give-back process fastly and easily. This design use Visual Basic 6.0 program language. The result of the information system design with Visual Basic 6.0 program language was the process of book lend and give-back process could be done easily since the new system contain Microsoft Access database as an accurate, clear, and originality guaranteed data savings, moreover, the needed information can be seen anytime easily. This article discusses the transformation of the school library in increasing students 'interest in SMA 6 Padang, the problem to be disclosed are: (1) how to transform a collection of libraries in enhancing students' interest; (2) how the transformation of library facilities in enhancing students' interest; (3) how the transformation of librarians in improving students' interest. Based on the data gathered thus concluded that: (1) the amount of the collection is not in accordance with standards established by the National Library. Type collections of the library SMAN 6 Padang not meet the needs of students; (2) the existing facilities in the library SMAN 6 Padang is incomplete and limited; (3) The library staff library SMAN 6 Padang yet have the skills and extensive knowledge in the field of library management. Thus, the school SMAN 6 Padang should complete the collection in accordance with the needs of students at the same facilities and infrastructure and librarians in order to further improve performance in processing rapidly growing library that library. This article discusses the use of public collections by the visitors in the Office of Libraries, Archives, and Documentation South Coastal District. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians who are willing to respond. Analyzing data descriptively and with a literature study related to the discussion in the research. Based on analyzing the data, it can be concluded that the use of the general collection by the visitors in the Office of Libraries, Archives, and Documentation South Coastal District has not been evenly distributed. General collection of the most frequently used is the type collection of the novel (800). In the utilization of the visitors can find a collection of collections needed to support catalog card catalog card yet available in the Office of Libraries, Archives, and Documentation South Coastal District is not in accordance with the collection available on the shelves. This resulted in the visitors have to find a collection one by one on the shelves and will spend a lot of time user library. Keywords: utilization; general collection; the visitors; Â the library
