Abstract

The objective of developing a smartphone product in the form of the Edu-Touch application for sepak takraw learning materials as teaching material is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process, research, and development method (research & development) this uses the 4D model and approach put forward by Thiagarajan, which consists of 4 levels: analysis, design, development, implementation. The respondents used in this research were all 6 PJOK teachers and 80 students from two schools, namely SMPN 1 Paciran and SMPN 1 Brondong. The instrument used in this research used a questionnaire which was prepared to test validity and reliability. The percentage of experts is 96% learning experts, 88% by material experts, and 80% media experts, so the development product is valid/fit for use. In the effectiveness test in small groups and large groups, the values obtained were 81.25% and 79.78%, so the effectiveness of the development product was classified as good. The results of the analysis of small group and field group test data were 81.25% and 80.10%, in this case, the development product was included in the very feasible category. So in this research the conclusion is drawn that the application is very suitable for the use of edu-touch for smartphone-based sepak takraw material for junior secondary education unit level.

Abstract

Cardiovascular endurance is a fundamental component of physical fitness that significantly influences both health and physical performance. In physical education, assessing cardiovascular endurance is essential to monitor students’ fitness levels. However, laboratory-based tests such as the graded exercise test (GXT) are often impractical due to the need for specialized equipment and high costs. Therefore, there is a need for a simpler, more efficient, yet valid alternative instrument one of which is the aerobic step test. This study employed a quantitative approach with a criterion validity design. The research subjects consisted of 30 Physical Education students selected through purposive sampling. The primary instrument was the aerobic step test, in which recovery heart rate (HR1rec) was measured, while the comparative instrument was the graded exercise test (GXT) for VO₂max assessment. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation test, simple linear regression, and Bland Altman agreement analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings revealed a strong correlation between VO₂max derived from the aerobic step test and that obtained from GXT (r = 0.812; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination indicated that the step test could explain 65.9% of the variance in VO₂max (R² = 0.659). Bland Altman analysis demonstrated a bias of –0.77 ml·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹ with limits of agreement of ±4.85, which is considered practically acceptable for field application. The aerobic step test is validated as a simple, practical, and efficient tool for assessing cardiovascular endurance among students. This instrument can serve as a reliable alternative to laboratory-based fitness testing in physical education settings where laboratory facilities are unavailable.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a tutorial video-based learning media using biomechanical analysis for petanque shooting techniques as a training support tool. The background of this research is the difficulty experienced by athletes in understanding and applying proper shooting techniques due to the limited use of instructional media during training sessions. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method by adapting the 4D model, which consists of define, design, development, and disseminate stages. The research instruments were assessment questionnaires administered to material experts, media experts, petanque coaches, and athletes. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results indicate that the developed tutorial video-based learning media achieved good to very good categories in terms of material content, learning aspects, display, and programming. Athlete assessments also showed positive responses toward the use of the media in shooting training. Therefore, the tutorial video-based learning media using biomechanical analysis is feasible and effective as a supporting medium to enhance athletes’ understanding of petanque shooting techniques.

Abstract

This research is to establish standards and management of Kuliki Paragliding Karo facilities as sport tourism based on the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Number 4 of 2021. Qualitative descriptive research applies conservation, interview, and documentation methods to collect data on meeting standards and managing kuliki karo paragliding facilities as sport tourism. The findings of this study are the application of standards carried out by Paragliding Tourism Managers very well, including the arrangement of flight implementation flows, conditions, provision of instructions, and well-managed facilities. The management of kuliki karo paragliding has also built cooperation with the local community, including the authorities, and local residents. In order to be able to implement a continuous development system. Based on the results of the study, it can be recommended to all paragliding tourism stakeholders where tourism management must always evaluate in order to continue to create new works and innovations for the paragliding sports tourism sector, especially in the aspects of safety and visitor experience.

Abstract

This study is important to find out the picture of injuries experienced by elite category pencak silat athletes and how to solve the injuries. The method used is a descriptive method with documentation study. The data collection technique uses secondary data, namely documentation data of pencak silat athletes who have injuries obtained from the medical team. Based on the pencak silat match at the Pra-Pon Solo elite championship held on September 11-13, 2023, and involving 681 athletes, only 12 male athletes were found to have injuries and all of them were in the competing category. This study provides general findings that the injuries that often occur in elite-level pencak silat matches are upper limb injuries (7 cases of injury). While the lower limbs were only found to have fewer injuries (4 cases of injury), and 1 case of fracture injury of unknown location. Regarding injury management, the different types of injuries that occur also have different follow-up treatments. Based on the findings, injuries to the head area, and injuries diagnosed with fractures or dislocations, some cases were treated additionally by sending athletes to the hospital for further action. In contrast, some others were first given drug treatment. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that injuries to pencak silat athletes can occur in the upper body or lower body with mild to severe levels of injury marked by further action on injuries experienced by pencak silat athletes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Jambura Table Tennis (JTT) application which is a product development based on augmented reality in table tennis learning. The development method uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model. The stages carried out are: 1) Conceptualizing product ideas through interviews and field observations, 2) Designing the product to be developed, 3) collecting the required materials, 4) Making the product, 5) Alpha and beta testing by media experts and content experts using the Gregory test with 100% validation and individual effectiveness test of 95.4%, small group test with 7 subjects 95.57% and field test of product feasibility with 33 subjects of class X SMA N 1 Dulupi of 89%, 6) Distribution of the Jambura Table Tennis (JTT) application product. From these results it can be concluded that the Jambura Table Tennis (JTT) application product is very valid and feasible for use at SMAN 1 Dulupi. The advantage of this product is that it is more flexible because it can be used on each student's smartphone and does not require data for use, while the weakness of the product is that it only discusses material about introducing table tennis equipment.
