Abstract

, His research is conducted to identify and analyze the determinant factors of bank loan in North Sumatera Province. To identify and analyze the determinant factors in bank loan is using the panel model. This model is using to estimate the elasticity of loan interest rate, deposit interest rate, intensity of competition or the numbers of bank office, the nominal Regional Gross Domestic Product [RGDP] and the Regional Gross Domestic Product [RGDP] by sectors towards bank loan. The panel model is choosing the fixed effect model [FEM] with RGDP as cross section specific coefficients. This model using the secondary data that published by BPS and Bank Indonesia Medan

Abstract

A decision on a capital structure (ratio between share and loan capitals) done by a financial manager is an important decision. This is due to its influence upon risks undergone and profits expected by shareholders. These analyses are used to solve the problem which is whether the size of the firm, the business risks, the growth of assets, the profitability and the ownership structure influence the capital strusture or not? The population in this research is the go public manufacturing sector in the Indonesia Stock Exchange for years 2005 until 2007. The sample is defined by cluster propotional random sampling to get a representative sample on each sector. There are 33 go public manufacturing companies selected as sample for this research. There are two variables in this research, the independent variable and dependent variable. The independent variable comprises firm size, business risk, growth of assets, and profitability; and for the dependent variable is the capital structure of go public manufacturing companies in the BEI. This research was analyzed using multiple regressions. This research found the empirical results that partially, SIZE influences positive significant and NPM influences negative significant to the capital structure of go public manufacturing companies in the Bursa Efek Indonesia. While the result of partial test for DOL and GROW showed that partially they didn’t influence significantly to the capital structure. The result for the simultaneous test showed that there is influence between SIZE, DOL, GROW, and NPM with the capital strusture of go public manufacturing companies in the Bursa Efek Indonesia. The influence is 0,197 or 19,7%. The other 80.3% influenced by another factors outside the research or the regression model.

Abstract

This research aim to know influance of fiscal capacity (Pendapatan Asli Daerah, Dana Alokasi Umum and Dana Bagi Hasil ) to the Human Development Index. Scope of research are 33 ( thirty three) local government in Sumatera Utara. Comply with criteria for sampling source it 25 (twenty five) local government in Sumatera Utara Province. Sample taking with purposive method sampling with period of research between of 2005 up to year of 2009. The data using to independent variable of by 2005-2008, and HDI data used of 2006-2009. Analysis method the used is Generalized Least Square (GLS) with random effect model estimation. The Simultanly of fiscal capacity variable (Pendapatan Asli Daerah, Dana Alokasi Umum and Sharing Dana Bagi Hasil) influance to the Human Development Index. Partially shown that only of Dana Alokasi Umum variable significance to the Human Development Index variable. But, other variable of fiscal capacity variable (Pendapatan Asli Daerah and Dana Bagi Hasil ) not influance to the Human Development Index

Abstract

PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan engaged in the retail market various products, such as fresh, bazaar, textile, and grocery applane. The number of customers who shop from January to December 2010 fluctuates every month and long lines occurred in August when the feast of Eid al-Fitr and December when the Christmas and New Year's Eve. From the description, formulated the following research problem: "Why is the gap between the queuing system raises expectations with actual service time at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Field ".The research objective was to determine and analyze the queuing system on PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan. Benefits of the research is to provide information material to the company in the form of advice regarding the analysis of queuing systems. The study population is the number of customers of PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Field from 2009 until 2010. The samples taken months from January to December 2010. Required data are collected through observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis technique used is descriptive method. From the results of the discussion was concluded that the long queues at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan often occur on Saturday at 17.00 pm - 20.00 pm, and on a Sunday or holiday queues at 12.00 am - 14.00 pm and at 17.00 pm - 20.00 pm. Standard service time for each customer at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan maximum of 1 minute, yet customers have to wait up to 20 minutes at the feast of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas Day at 9 minutes. Customer arrival rate at PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan is not constant, the time required to serve every customer is different, Kassa served on a first come, first served basis and unlimited customer population. The probability of unemployed workers pads reach 4%. The number of customers in the queuing system at 43 people. The probability of the whole staff busy pads reach 94.91%. Customer in the queue system to 33 people. The time spent waiting and served customers to reach 26 minutes. Time spent waiting for customers to be served up to 20 minutes. This shows that the waiting time to be served is still too high. Suggestions are given for consideration to the management company is the best, firms pay more attention to the system queue by adding pads officers to serve customers at the time of school entry, the feast of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas celebrations and other holidays to reduce the long queues . Abstract

Donalson Silalah, Basically, the government and local governments have made the development of government officers through a program of education and training. Providing education and training is less efficient and effective manner due to the relative unavailability of assessment guidelines and evaluation of education and training. Therefore, this paper aims to build a model of assessment and evaluation of education and training. Models are constructed focused on education and training participant, lecturer, curriculum, organizers and the participants after they return to duty at their respective workplaces. Model assessment and evaluation of education and training builds upon the indicators of each aspect. Indicators that are used can be adjusted as needed. Based on the models constructed can be known what the obstacles to the implementation of education and training. Based on the constraints that are found to be a solution in the subsequent implementation of education and training.

Abstract

Calculation of financial ratios is one of the financial statement analysis tools to compare the data with other data, to determine the interrelationships between assets, liabilities and capital which can then be determined level of liquidity, solvency and profitabilitas.Berdasarkan preliminary research note that the ratio - financial ratios ( liquidity ratio and solvency ratio) of manufacturing companies that have gone public on the Jakarta Stock Exchange has a different relationship when associated with profitabiitas. Based on the description, research the problem can be formulated as follows: "Is the liquidity ratio and solvency ratio has a significant influence on the profitability ratios of manufacturing companies in Jakarta Stock Exchange?" Population is the total number of objects to be observed or researched. This study population is a manufacturing company in Jakarta Stock Exchange as many as 153 companies. Sample is part of the population. Study sample are liquidity ratios, solvency ratios and profitability ratios 34 manufacturing firms in 2001-2003. Secondary data collection techniques through technical documentation. data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression method to clarify the effect of liquidity ratios and solvency ratios of profitability ratios. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the results obtained that simultaneous analysis of liquidity ratios there is no significant effect on the profitability of the company. It can be seen from the f-count 2)t As for suggestions that can be given the author is a company should manage current ratio (current assets and current liabilities) well to a good level of liquidity memeproleh company can enhance its liquidity by increasing current assets but remains current debt, or should reduce current debts but assets remain . In order to achieve the planned levels of profitability then the management must be able to properly manage and loans for a number of assets owned memebiayai so as to increase profits of manufacturing companies in Jakarta Stock Exchange

Abstract

PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch is one of the government-owned enterprises. The bank collects funds from the public in the form of demand deposits, savings deposits, and channel it back in the form of credit. In this study, the authors focus on research for deposits. Number of clients who deposit funds in 2009-2010 has decreased. From the description formulated the research problem is "what is the most dominant factor influencing customers to save money on PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch?" The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the most dominant factor influencing customers to save money on PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch. Benefits of the research is to provide material information to the leadership of the bank's most dominant factor influencing customers to save money. The study population was all clients are saving money on deposit with the PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch in 2010. The samples taken as many as 125 people. Required data were collected through questionnaires and documentation techniques. Data analysis technique used was factor analysis. Based on the discussion, figures obtained by KMO Measure of Sampling Adeguacy (MSA) of 0.899 is above 0.50, with a significance of 0.000, then the appropriate variables for further analysis. Scree plot showing the chart, in which of the factor 1 to factor 2 (component source line number = 1 to 2), the line dropped sharply. Then from the number 2 to number 4, the direction of the line decreases with a smaller slope. The fifth factor was in the bottom of the Y-axis numbers (eigenvalues). This suggests that four factors best to summarize the twenty-five factors that influence the customer to save money. Before the rotation, the twenty-five variables that affect the customer to save money on PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch is not clear where the factor a, then the necessary rotation. After rotation, the twenty-five variables are clearly factors which enter into. The dominant factor influencing customers to save money in the form of time deposits at PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk, USU Medan Branch with correlation values above 0.75 is the backlog of the correlation value of 0.782; deposit with a correlation value of 0.774; handling of customer complaints with correlation values of 0.756 and lucky draws with a correlation value of 0.751 . Of the four factors, the most dominant influence customers to save money is a backlog. Advice given to the leadership of the bank is better, the bank maintains customer order backlog increasing number of clients. To attract people to save in the form of deposits, the bank should increase the rates of time deposits, pay attention to the handling of customer complaints and increase the types of lottery.
