Abstract

Adolescent women are particularly susceptible to anemia caused by significant blood loss during menstruation phase. Another factor that could cause anemia are lack of knowledge and intake of iron. The education using crossword puzzles to increase knowledge can be used to prevent anemia in adolescent women. This study aimed to determine the effect of crossword puzzles on the level of knowledge and attitudes of young women about anemia at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya. The type of research used a Quasi-experimental research design with one group pre-posttest design without a control group. The sample in this study was female students at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya, totaling 45 people. The respondent was given a pretest questionnaire, being educated using a crossword puzzle twice for four weeks, and a posttest to evaluate the education results. Data analysis for knowledge used Wilcoxon test and attitudes used paired t-tests. The results showed that the majority of respondents were 15-18 years old, and the highest prevalence respondent was 15 years old (42.2%). The analysis showed that crossword puzzles significantly affect adolescent women's knowledge levels and attitudes (p=0.000) about anemia at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya.   Keywords: Anemia, Attitudes, Crossword, Knowledge

Abstract

Children in school age groups are among the populations most vulnerable to nutritional problems. Direct factors influence nutritional status are carbohidrat, protein, fat consumption, activity and disease. The purpose of this research is to examine the factors that affected the nutritional status of 11–12-year-old students at SDN 04 Ngebruk Sumberpucung during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional method is the research design that was used. Samples were taken by total sampling with criteria aged 11-12 years obtained a sample of 34 people. The technique used to gather primary data is by using a food record. Physical activity level (PAL) use to asess physical activity. Regression analysis is the statistical test that is employed. The results found that the variable carbohydrate intake has a p-value of 0.018 < 0.05, which determines nutritional status. Physical activity has p value 0,110 > 0.05 is not determinant of nutrition status. Therefore, the determinant of nutritional status when COVID-19 was in effect is more caused by carbohydrate intake.The formula for predicting carbohydrate intake to nutritional status is Nutritional status = 0.403 Carbohydrate Intake – 4.108.   Keywords:Carbohydrate Intake, Nutritional Status, COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Traffic accidents are a public health problem. Actions for handling accident victims are greatly influenced by individual knowledge about first aid for accident victims to reduce the number of disabilities and deaths. The aim of this research is find out the level of public knowledge about first aid for traffic accident victims in, Patalan, Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The research was descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 91 respondents used purposive sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire sheet on the level of public knowledge regarding first aid in traffic accidents. Analysis used univariate analysis. The results of this research showed that the majority were male (54.9%), aged 45-55 (45.1%), had a high school/vocational school education level (54.9%), had been exposed to sources of information (82, 4%), received information from counseling (56.0%), and had never helped traffic accident victims (83.5%). An overview of the level of public knowledge regarding first aid for traffic accident victims found that the majority had a group of knowledge in the excellent category (89.0%). Community knowledge in Padukuhan Patalan, Jetis, Bantul regarding first aid for traffic accidents is in the excellent category.   Keywords: first aid, knowledge, traffic accident

Abstract

Adolescence is an age in search of identity. One of the most common problems is a decline in moral values ​​because they have not discovered their true identity. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between parenting style and family type and free sexual behavior in teenagers. The research method is quantitative observational with a cross sectional approach. The population in the research was class XI students of SMK dr. Soebandi numbered 114 respondents with samples taken using simple random sampling. The instrument in the research used a questionnaire on parenting patterns, family type and free sexual behavior with the independent variables parenting style and family type and the dependent variable being free sexual behavior. The research data shows that the distribution of parenting patterns is mostly authoritarian (91.3%), family type is nuclear family (75.4%), and risky sexual behavior (89%). The results of statistical analysis using the Spearman test obtained a p significance value of 0.002, which means there is a relationship between parenting style and free sexual behavior, whereas in both results of statistical analysis the p significance value was 0.745, which means there is no relationship between family type and free sexual behavior in teenagers. . Parenting style and family type are one of the factors that shape adolescent behavior, including sexual behavior. Parental parenting styles shape and support good and bad behavior in teenagers.
