Abstract

The research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SDN 042 Gambir in the mathematics subject of number counting operation material, with the aim that students' learning outcomes can increase, also to determine the activities of students and teachers as well as student responses in learning in mathematics subjects operating material count numbers. This study uses the learning strategy Start with a question, which is a learning strategy that makes students learn actively by making them ask about the subject matter before an explanation from the teacher. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) method known as Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the quality of the learning process in the classroom. The technique of collecting data through observation, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The respondents were 33 fourth grade students of SDN 042 Gambir. The results of this study were: student learning outcomes in learning operations count numbers before action is still low, this is known from the students' reaching KKM 65 only 39.4% of all students. After the implementation of learning strategies. Student learning outcomes increased to 66.7% in cycle I and to 87.9% in cycle II, teacher and student activities increased and students' responses to learning were quite positive.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is low second grade students learning outcomes of Ciampel Elementary School Padalarang subdistrict Bandung Barat Regency in science subject energy source material. Class Action Research has been carried out which aim to improve student learning outcomes in science of energy resource material through the application method demonstration method in the second grade of Ciampel Elementary School. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisted of 4 stages. Namely : Planing, action, observation and reflection with the number of 30 students consisting of 10 boys and 20 girls. Trought out the last result of evaluation in the first cycle is obtained mastery of clasical learning amount 63.33% and the average value is 67.66. The result of the last evaluation of the second cycle is obtained mastery of classical learning amount is about 80% and the average value is 72,8. It can be concluded that the application of demonstration method is able to increase in science subject about energy resource material in second grade Ciampel Elementary School.

Abstract

Application of Active Learning Strategies using Series Media Drawing to Improve Class III Students' Simple Writing Skills in Indonesian Language Learning. This is because the learning strategy is less effective, the media is inadequate, and students have not been able to pour ideas, opinions, or ideas into writing, lack of supporting media in the learning process, and during teacher learning less use of varied learning strategies so that students are less active and feeling bored, writing skills are very lacking. The purpose of this class action research is to find out the increase in student activity and simple writing skills through the application of active learning strategies with the series drawing media in class III SDN 031 Pelesiran. This type of research used classroom action research based on two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of the study was the third grade students of SDN 031 Pelesiran. Data collection techniques were test and non-test techniques. Data analysis through quantitative and qualitative techniques. The conclusion of the study is that active learning strategies with series drawing media can increase student activity and writing skills in writing simple essays.

Abstract

This action research was motivated by the existence of problems in early reading learning in elementary schools. Early reading learning is not creative. Students are only instructed to memorize letters, words, and sentences in reading books, so that when students read simple sentences in writing, students are unable to read smoothly. The study was conducted in class I 204 Cidadap Elementary School with a total of 23 students. The research objectives were to: (1) describe the initial reading activities in class I by using the EPA 5 model for students in Class I of SD Negeri 204 Cidadap; (2) to find out the initial reading ability using the EPA 5 model for students of Class I of SD Negeri 204 Cidadap. This research was conducted with Classroom Action Research (PTK) method in three cycles. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative way descriptively and quantitatively by searching for the average. Based on the research that has been done, the average value of students' initial reading activities in cycle I was 67.83, cycle II 72.17, and cycle III 76.52. Whereas reading ability in cycle I was 56.96, cycle II 69.13 and cycle III 80.00. It shows that the EPA 5 model can increase students' activities and abilities in learning to read early.

Abstract

The background of this study is because the learning process that has not been maximized and students' learning achievement about simple fractions is still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the use of concrete object props can improve the learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students in mathematics subjects in simple fractions. The method in this study, using Classroom Action Research. Classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle has 4 stages. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaire, test, and attitude scale. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class III SD Islam Mutiara Hati, District of Antapani Tengah, Bandung. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that the use of concrete object props in simple fraction materials can improve student learning outcomes and activeness as well as students' responses to learning are quite positive.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is one of the capabilities of the perceived difficult by students.Researchers working to improve students ' ability in solving math problems and also enhance the learning interest of students. One effort that can be done is with the selection of an effective learning model and operates on problem solving learning model cooperative type i.e. the investigation team.Class action research aims to find out students ' problem-solving ability improvement and learning interest of students.Research methods the research done is a class act. Implementation of the action classes each cycle addresses the matter to calculate the fractions in the form of a question of the story until it reaches the ketuntasan student learning outcomes.Research done in class IV (four) SDN 227 Margahayu North of Bandung city year lessons 2017-2018 with the number of learners 29 people. The achievement of the learning outcomes of students with 70 KKM is at pre-cycle average values gained 64.21 with pesentase ketuntasan 41.37%, cycle I gained an average rating of 76.21 with pesentase ketuntasan 68.96%, whereas in the achievement of the learning outcomes II cycle students gained an average rating of 86.03 with pesentase ketuntasan 89.65%.
