Abstract

The rate of turnover for employees in a company will be of particular concern because it involves the company's expenses which are not cheap. When recruiting employees, it is hoped that individuals will be compatible with their jobs, and this compatibility will make employees psychologically meaningful at work and be able to immerse themselves in or be attached to their work, so that employees can last a long time in the company and reduce the budget for the recruitment, selection, and training processes. This study aims to determine the effect of Person Job Fit and Psychological meaningfulness in looking at work engagement in employees. The subject is a call center employee of PT. X aged 20-45 years. This research uses quantitative methods, uses a measuring instrument with a questionnaire model on the variable person job fit, psychological meaningfullness and work engagement. The results of this study indicate that Person Job Fit and psychological meaningfulness affect work engagement in call center employees at PT. X. Variable Person Job Fit and psychological meaningfulness together contribute 71% to work engagement. There needs to be matching between individuals and jobs at the beginning, to reduce the turnover of employees.Laju keluar-masuk karyawan pada suatu perusahaan akan menjadi perhatian khusus, karena menyangkut pengeluaran biaya perusahaan yang tidak sedikit. Saat penerimaan karyawan diharapkan individu memiliki kecocokan dengan pekerjaannya, dan kecocokan itu membuat karyawan memiliki makna secara psikologi dalam bekerja dan mampu tenggelam atau memiliki keterikatan dengan pekerjaannya, sehingga karyawan pun dapat bertahan lama diperusahaan dan menekan anggaran proses rekrutmen, seleksi serta training. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari Person Job Fit, Psychological meaningfulness dalam melihat work engagement pada karyawan. Subjek merupakan karyawan call center PT. X yang berusia 20-45 tahun. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, menggunakan alat ukur dengan model kuisioner pada variabel person job fit, psychological meaningfullness dan work engagement. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Person Job Fit dan psychological meaningfulness mempengaruhi work engagement pada karyawan call center PT. X. Variable Person Job Fit dan psychological meaningfulness secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 71% terhadap work engagement. Perlu adanya pencocokan antara individu dengan pekerjaan diawal, untuk menekan keluar-masukknya karyawan.

Abstract

Parmalim is a belief in the Mulajadi Debate of Na Bolon, and this doctrine has existed since ancient times. As adherents of religious beliefs, parmalim adherents often receive different treatment from the society.  The study aims to understand and describe the influence of religiousity on the psychological well-being of the Parmalin community in North Sumatra. This research uses quantitative research methods. Sampling techniques in this study are non-random sampling with purposive sampling techniques. The research sample consisted of 78 people from the Parmalim Community in North Sumatra who had adhered to the Parmalim belief system for at least 11 years. Data collection was directly to the participants at Parmalim’s place of worship in Medan, and by online. Data analysis using a double linear regression test with the help of SPSS for Windows 17 The method of data collection using a psychological scale is the scale of Religiousness and the psychological well-being scale.  The psychological scale used is the Religiosity scale and the Psychological Well-Being scale. In this study, religiosity was measured using The Centrality of Religiosity Scale-15 (CRS-15) while Psychological well-being used The Scales of Psychological Well-being. The results of this study found that there was a positive influence of religion on psychological well-being among Parmalim believers, the contribution is 25.9%. Religiosity in the Parmalim Community is in the high category (85.9%).  Psychological well-being in supporters of parmalim beliefs is mostly in the high category of 68%, where individuals with high psychological wellness are able to be warm in relationships with others, have empathy, have a purpose in life and understand the principle of giving and receiving in a relationship.Parmalim merupakan sebuah  aliran kepercayaan terhadap Debata Mulajadi Na Bolon dan ajaran ini sudah ada sejak dahulu kala. Sebagai penganut aliran kepercayaan, para penganut parmalim seringkali mendapatkan perlakuan yang berbeda dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh religiusitas terhadap Psychological Well-Being Komunitas Parmalin di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah non random sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 78 orang dari Komunitas Parmalim di Sumatera Utara yang telah menganut aliran kepercayaan Parmalim minimal 11 tahun.  Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara langsung di 2 rumah ibadat Parmalim di Medan dan melalui online. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear berganda bantuan SPSS for Windows 17. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala psikologi, Skala psikologi yang digunakan adalah skala Religiusitas dan skala Psychological Well-Being. Dalam penelitian ini Religiusitas diukur menggunakan The Centrality of Religiosity Scale-15 (CRS-15) sementara Psychological well-being menggunakan skala The Scales of Psychological Well-being. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ada pengaruh positif religiusitas terhadap psychological well -being pada penganut kepercayaan parmalim yaitu sebesar 25.9%. Religiusitas pada Komunitas Parmalim berada pada kategori tinggi (85.9 %). Psychological well-being pada penganut kepercayaan parmalim kebanyakan berada pada kategori tinggi yaitu 68%, dimana individu dengan psychological well-being tinggi mampu bersikap hangat dalam berhubungan dengan orang lain, memiliki empati, memiliki tujuan hidup dan memahami prinsip memberi dan menerima di dalam suatu hubungan.

Abstract

As overseas students, of course, they have different demands, in addition to carrying out their duties and responsibilities as overseas students, of course, they must be able to adapt to new circumstances and surroundings. Internal and external factors can affect the smoothness and capability of overseas students in getting education at the university level. The responsibilities and demands faced by overseas students are seen to affect education and cause academic stress. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach, the data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis using descriptive statistics and the participants who acted as subjects in this study amounted to 100 students of Satya Wacana Christian University So, researchers conducted this study with the aim of knowing the correlation between social support and academic stress levels in students who came from outside Java. The results obtained from this study were that there was no correlation between social support and academic stress. The implications of this study highlight the importance of looking at other factors that can affect the academic stress of overseas students and identifying effective strategies to cope with such stress.Sebagai mahasiswa rantau tentu saja memiliki tuntutan yang berbeda, selain melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai mahasiswa rantau tentunya harus dapat beradaptasi dengan keadaan dan lingkungan sekitarnya yang baru. Faktor internal dan eksternal dapat mempengaruhi kelancaran dan kapabilitas mahasiswa rantau dalam mengenyam pendidikan di tingkat perguruan tinggi. Tanggung jawab dan tuntutan yang dihadapi mahasiswa rantau dipandang dapat mempengaruhi pendidikan dan menyebabkan stres akademik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif yang menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan partisipan yang berperan sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Maka, peneliti melakukan studi ini dengan tujuan untuk  mengetahui korelasi antara dukungan sosial dengan tingkat stres akademik pada mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar pulau Jawa. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah tidak ada korelasi antara dukungan sosial dengan stres akademik. Implikasi penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya melihat faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi stres akademik mahasiswa rantau dan mengidentifikasi strategi yang efektif untuk mengatasi stres tersebut.
