Abstract

The research about exploration and morphological visualization of freshwater Molusca (Gastropod and Bivalvia) in Batang Merangin river had been done. The research aims to observe the species of freshwater Gastropod and Bivalvia in Batang Merangin river and characteristic of each species. The method that have been used in this research was quadrant method. Three quadrants sized 1 x 1 m were settled at each station, and all Molusca spesimens that found inside the quadrants were collected and put on labeled container. The Molusca that captured was collected, cleaned, identified and characterized. Result of research showed that 3 species of Gastropod and 2 species of Bivalvia were found. Those are Terebia granifera, Melanoides tuberculata, Thiara sp, Rectidens sumatrensis and Pilsbryoconcha exillis.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine kind of favorite food of some german cockroach strains, that were VCRU-WHO ( Susceptible strain), PLZ-PDG, GFA-JKT and KRSA-BDG. Some foods used in this research were pineapple, strawberry, peanut and chocolate jam. Observed data consisted of presence frequency and total consumed food for 96 hours observation. The result showed that highest presence frequency of VCRU-WHO, PLZ-PDG and KRSA-BDG was on pineapple jam, with average frequency were 17, 18.50 and 17.25 times, while in GFA-JKT was on strawberry jam (10.5 times). The highest food consumption level of VCRU-WHO, PLZ-PDG and KRSA-BDG was on pineapple jam with average weights were 128, 69 and 104 mg, while GFA JKT preferred to strawberry jam with average weight was 45.50 mg. There was different food preference between GFA JKT which preferred to strawberry jam and others which preferred to pineapple jam. Regression analysis resulted in an equation, y = 2.19 + 50.37 and R2 = 0,27 or r = 0,52, P< 0.05. This analysis showed that there is positive correlation between presence frequency and total food consumption but not significant.

Abstract

Mikroteaching is a compulsory course that must be addressed by biology education students in the curriculum of KKNI. This course is followed by students of semester VII. In the implementation of microteaching, students will be taught first how to develop RPP (learning implementation plan) and material about basic skill of teaching teacher. This teacher's basic teaching skill consists of: open learning skills, closing lesson skills, material explaining skills, strengthening skills, small and large group coaching skills, classroom management skills, variation in learning, and questioning skills. The method in this research is direct observation by observing the students who practice teaching in front of the class which is analyzed by quantitative descriptive method. Its population is 61 people and sample 23 people. Based on the result of the research, it is found that the average of basic skill of good teacher teaching.

Abstract

A skilled teacher who is able to develop his basic teaching skills will assist students in understanding the material presented by the teacher. The learning process takes place regardless of the basic skills of teaching teachers. This is seen from students or students who are only asked to record and do the tasks contained in the manual without the description of first explanation. So that learners get a lesson directly from the manual without any process of question and answer and explanation of the material. From the calculation seen that r counted for 0.736 while r table of 0.325 thus the correlation coefficient r count / robservasi greater than r table (0.736≥0,325) so it is concluded that Ha accepted with statement there is positive relation between variable X with variable Y at SMPN 28 Mesumai regency merangin. From the data obtained can be seen that r arithmetic of 0.736 if consulted with r table of 0.325 at a significant level of 95% then (rhit 0.736> rtab 0.325). R count is greater than r table, it shows a positive correlation between student's attitude toward basic skill of teacher teaching with student learning result of biology subject on concept of respiratory system in human.

Abstract

Riparian vegetation plays an important role in maintaining the productivity of river fisheries. In addition, riparian vegetation also plays a role in controlling the entry of nutrients and toxic materials that enter the waters and store ground water. This research was conducted to find out how the level of vegetation diversity Riparian River Tabir. The method used in the analysis of vegetation is the method of line in print. The analysis of vegetation is done at the tree level. Sample plots made on the left and right side of the river are 6 transects and each transect is 3 plots / plot so that the total plot is 18 plot / plot. Data analysis includes calculation of Important Value (NP) and Type Diversity (H ') from Shannon-Wiener. The results obtained for tree level are 12 species from 9 families. The highest INP is Ficus racemosa type with INP 48.3 and H '0.29. For pole level trees, 20 species of plants are found in 14 families. The highest INP and H values were Hevea brasiliensis with INP 27 and H '0.22. For the tree level category, 14 tree species were found in 9 families. The highest INP and H values were found in Clinemia hirta INP 29.80 H '0.28. The diversity of riparian vegetation of the Tabir River is moderate for tree, pole and stake.

Abstract

Rivers have an important role in human life. They are the living place for the amount of biodiversity, but now the river has been polluted due to human activities. The object of this research is to know Murak river quality based on plankton diversity. Other than that, to determine the factors that influence water pollution and to know the level of water pollution based on biological, physical and chemical indicators. Sampling is done in Murak river of Merangin. The identification of plankton and water analysis is done at the Biology Education Laboratory. From the results of the study, there were 24 genus of plankton found, of the 24 genera there are 7 genera that enter in the category of pollution indicator that is Nitzschia sp, Chlamydomonas, Spirogyra , Chlorococcum, Euglena, Oscillatoria, Pyrobotris dan Anabaena.. And based on the index of diversity (H ') is in the value of 1-3 so it is concluded that the waters of the Murak river of Merangin have been polluted.

Abstract

IPA formed and developed with a process scientific, must also be developed in school tuition as experiences meaningful that can be used to make the development of self next biology as one of the field of ipa provide a variety of learning experience to understanding the concept of and the process of science.Skill the process of science used that they explore and understand the about. Research aims to understand the increase in skill the process of science and study results students through the application of learning guided inquiry. Methods used is class room research by taking advantage 4 ( four ) a stage in class room research including planning, the implementation of the act of, observation, and reflection.The implementation of the an act done as much as 2 ( two ) cycle, every cycle consisting of 2 ( two meeting learning 1 ( one meeting evaluation. The research results show that has been an increase in skill the process of science out of school in droves of biology as many as 17,57 % the same condition was the results of bejar students show some improvement as many as 28,67 %. Can be concluded that using learning guided inquiry model can improved the skills of the process of science and study results students.
