Abstract

This article describe the development result of android base self learning aplication to help students reach conceptual understanding on elements periodic siystem. In form research and development, it was carred out by ADDIE model. Subject of this research is chemisry education students of IKIP Mataram who fulfill Elementary Chemistry I lectur. Based on research it was concluded that : (1) android base mobile learning media application on elements periodic system subject material was produce and operate successly wity adobe air application support.  Content and design validity of this product are 81.11 % and 83.97 % successively with very aligible category. Practiotioner and small group trial subject respond are 80.83 % and 89.02 % with very eleigible cathegory; (2) this android base application was enhance students elements periodic system conceptual understanding effectively. It was proved by N-gain average of students conceptual understanding enhancment is 0.82 with high category and t-gain value (6.135) larger than ttable(tα = 0.55; dk= 9  = 2.62).

Abstract

NTB has a large zeolite potential with a zeolite content percentage of 190,405 tons. One area that has great potential is the Selong belanak Central Lombok precisely at coordinates 8o51'48.5 "S 116o10'62.0" E mull mullet. Utilization of zeolite Lombok area is only used as a mixture of animal feed because it has not done research on its potential. One potential zeolite is its ability as an absorbent. Alcohol fermentation has not been able to be an alternative as a solution to energy problems. Alcohol fermentation only produces alcohols of less than 30% purity. This is caused by acetic acid byproducts that make microbes in the fermentation process can not breed optimally. From these problems need to be performed zeolite characteristic for optimal utilization. The purpose of this research is to find out the characteristics of natural zeolite of Selong belanak Lombok as an adsorbent in purifying alcohol of fermentation. The method of this research is descriptive with data collecting technique performed by zeolite characterization including cation exchange capacity with Schollenberger method, surface area using methylene blue method, absorption using Iodometry titration method, zeolite water content using gravimetric method and alcohol concentration determined by specific gravity and instrument GC-MS. Based on the result of natural zeolite research, Selong belanak Lombok has characteristic with natural cation zeolite exchange capacity of Selong Belanaq Lombok for 14,0894 meq / 100 gram. The zeolite surface area is 16, 3537 m2 / gram. Absorption zeolite to iodium is relatively low at 2.9357%. water content obtained from natural zeolite Selong Belanaq Lombok is 7.74%. After use of various alcoholic distillate absorbent fermentation alcohol concentration was obtained 81.4%. Based on the findings of natural zeolite researchers mullet tubes need to be activated more optimally to produce alcohols with purity above 99%, as laden mixture material in gasoline.

Abstract

Silver metal found in the metal plating industry wastewater, industrial process photography and X-ray film process. Wastes that still lack the metallic ions of silver if thrown in the water without further treatment would endanger the life of organisms, mainly bacteria, plants and living things, as silver metal is a metal that is toxic in dissolved form. One separation technique can be used with supported liquid membrane (SLM) technique. This study aimed to identify the type of solvent and carrier compound to percent transport of silver metal from the feed phase to phase receivers with SLM techniques. This type of research used in this study was an experimental research in the laboratory. Percent transport of metal ions Ag + with techniques SLM had done by varying the type of solvent was n-hexane, kerosene, toluene and chloroform to dissolve the compound carrier TBP and D2EHPA with each concentration 1 M. The concentration of the metal ions Ag+ in phase receiver after separation techniques SLM was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) at a wavelength of 328.1 nm, then the calculated percent metal Ag+ ion transport. Based on the results showed that the percent of the silver metal transport centipede on the use of solvent n-hexane and chloroform, with transport by 33.9% percent. While the percent of the highest transport to the use of compounds that was using the carrier of carrier compound TBP, with transport by 33.9% percent.

Abstract

This research has been done to study the effect of addition of TiO2 photocatalyst in liquid waste of silver industry in Ungga Village, Kec. Praya Kab. Central Lombok on the effectiveness of photoreduction of Cu (II) ions which are catalyzed by TiO2. The photoreduction process is carried out by irradiating liquid waste containing Cu (II) ions without or with the addition of TiO2 photocatalyst powder in a closed reactor equipped with UV lamps. The photoreduction process conditions are 50 mL of silver waste containing Cu (II) with reaction time for 24 hours and a mass of TiO2 20 mg at each 10 ppm Cu (II) ion concentration. The photoreduction results are determined by the difference in the concentration of the starting Cu (II) ions with the residual Cu (II) ion concentration in the silver craft waste without or with the addition of TiO2 photocatalyst. Furthermore, the data obtained were compared to the results of photoreduction of Cu (II) ions pure TiO2 laboratory scale. The amount of metal in the mixture was determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric Method (AAS). The results showed that in silver handicraft waste containing Cu (II) ions, the addition of TiO2 can increase the effectiveness of the Cu (II) ion photoreduction from 6.57% to 33.38%, which begins with the adsorption process. The other ions cause inter-reduction competition metals so as to decrease the effectiveness of TiO2 catalysed Ti (II) ionic ferrication in silver handicrafts waste in Ungga Village Kec. Praya Kab.central Lombok
