Abstract

Tele-immersion is an advanced form of virtual reality that will allow users in different places to interact in real time in a shared simulated environment. Tele-immersion is a technology to be implemented with Internet that will enable users in different geographic locations to come together in a simulated environment to interact. Users will feel like they are actually looking, talking, and meeting with each other face-to-face in the same room. This technology causes users to feel as if they were in the same room. The tele-immersion technology uses a "tele-cubicle" which is equipped with large screens, scanners, sensors, and cameras. The tele-cubicles are linked together in real-time so that they form one larger cubicle. Through the virtual environment, participants are able to interact with other group members. Also, virtual objects and data can be passed through the walls between participants, and placed on the shared table in the middle for viewing.

Abstract

To increase the network lifetime of WSNs is a major concern. Network lifetime can be increased by reducing energy consumptions through MAC protocols periodic and a- periodic sleep mode mechanisms. The short duty cycle makes sensors have low energy consumption rate but increases the transmission delay and long duty cycle makes the sensor to increase the energy consumption and reduce the delay. Duty cycle need to be adaptively varied to reduce the idle listening. In the proposed Adaptive Duty cycle MAC (ADMAC) protocol, duty cycle is varied by taking nodes rate of energy consumption and filled queue length in account. It reduces the delay and energy spent by reducing the idle listening. ADMAC is realized in NS2 and its performance is compared with SMAC.

Abstract

The main focus of the project is to prevent the loss of human life against the discomfort and death caused by the lack of attention towards the patients due to the improper monitoring systems provided in the hospital. The aim of the project is to monitor the bio sensors attached to the persons in their body either internally or externally. The biosensors which are about to be used in this project are EEG sensor (electro encephalogram sensor). An ECG sensor (electro cardiogram sensor) which is very essential for a critical patient, this project also emphasizes on the extended design of a special type of sensor called the oxygen insensitive microscale biosensor which helps in the monitoring of constant oxygen supply in blood thereby detecting blood cancer at the earliest stage. The data from all the sensors are sent to a central wireless node through wifi. From the main node the data is sent to the control station of the hospital through zigbee as the coverage area of certain hospitals is more than the coverage area of a Bluetooth. The control station segregates the data of different patients and stores in the memory location. If any of the patient data exceeds the standard data fed to the control station by the doctor then a message will be sent to the mobile of the attendee and the doctor using the GSM control system. Keywords: Biosensors, Raspberry pi (controller), GSM, Zigbee

Abstract

User profiling, one of the main issue faced while implementing the efficient question answering system, in which the user profile is made, containing the data posed by the user, capturing their domain of interest. The paper presents the method of predicting the next related questions to the first initial question provided by the user to the question answering search engine. A novel approach of the association rule mining is highlighted in which the information is extracted from the log of the previously submitted questions to the question answering search engine, using algorithms for mining association rules and predicts the set of next questions that the user will provide to the system in the next session. Using this approach, the question answering system keeps the relevant answers of the next questions in the repository for providing a speedy response to the user and thus increasing the efficiency of the system.

Abstract

ERP system is an integrated information system to support the core business activities of an organization, helping the business unit related to data and information sharing, cost reduction, and improvement of business processes, which will have an impact on the increase in the work to become more efficient and effective. Organizations that implement ERP system can take the form of cooperative consumption. Purpose cooperative consumption implement an ERP system is to achieve improved productivity and operational effectiveness of the cooperative. Standard Operating Procedures can help the user can use the ERP system, but required knowledge management. This rapid business development prosecute organizations innovate to maintain and grow the business. One such effort is the one measuring the performance achieved are supported by the implementation of the Knowledge Management. In this information age, where information must be obtained relatively quickly, accurately and easily without being limited by space, time, location. The important thing is how to measure the performance of the ERP system once implemented. Performance measurement module ERP system purchases and sales on consumer cooperatives, will give inputandan innovation for consumer cooperatives in developing the organization towards a more structured, competitive and advanced, and improve decision making, increase the efficiency of operations and business processes. Keywords:  ERP Systems, Knowledge Management, Purchase and Sales Modules

Abstract

Today the world has entered the era of modern air transport where human movement needed to support facilities and infrastructure that support for the movement of activity. The number of routes and flights are always growing by leaps and bounds every year.In Indonesia alone by more than 10 of the largest airliner in which two, namely Garuda Indonesia and Lion Airline, based on data in 2012 each have no less than 50 routes per day and more than 4,000 flights per week [1] (web magazine ZonaAero). To support the security and safety of air transport, the government through the aviation authorities are trying to build an adequate infrastructure. A number of local governments and central government together with Angkasa Pura and Airnav Indonesia (LPPNPI) has a lot to develop the airport terminal, lengthen and widen the runway, install instrument flight (radar, DVOR, ILS etc.), and make the regulations more guarantees The good level of a security and aviation safety. However, for things that are not desirable that may occur as aircraft accidents, it is necessary to support the system also prepared to facilitate the search for the location of the accident. Still clear in our memory how when, on May 9, 2012 a plane Sukhoi Superjet 100 has crashed in the promotion and demonstration flights. It takes more than one day to find the crash site in the area around Mount Salak located less than 100 kilometers from the capital city of Jakarta [2] (Indonesia Wikipedia). The distance of time ranging from a loss of communication with the aircraft until the discovery of the accident scene will be very good if it can be reduced to as small as possible. This will help Basarnas and NTSC accelerate the process of investigation and to provide certainty for the families of the victims as well as those of other interested parties.Location tracking system of aircraft accident would be able to find the location of a plane crash just a few moments after the breakdown of communication between the aircraft control tower / flight controller.
