<![CDATA[This paper attempts to look at the ideas of Sukarno in regulating the nation with the theory of Social Imaginary. This theory speaks about portrayal of a nation through the eyes of the people. The portrayal is usually projected through legends, tales folktales and so forth. This paper saw Sukarno combines Western Social Imaginary with Social Imaginary of Indonesia to build a society of Indonesia. Sukarno then combines the concept of Internationalism to Nationalism. As well as the people’s democracy or Marhaen with a conviction if people politically sovereign and economically the nation will experience social justice.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara yang religius, namun predikat tersebut ternyata tidak mengurangi perilaku korupsi pejabat atau masyarakatnya. Fenomena inilah yang kemudian memunculkan pertanyaan kritis mengenai seberapa efektif peran agama dalam mendukung upaya pemberantasan korupsi. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa agama masih dapat secara efektif mendukung pemberantasan korupsi karena tindakan itu bertentangan dengan kehendak Tuhan. Namun ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan; Pertama, agama harus menentukan nilai-nilai absolut yang mendukung pemberantasan korupsi. Kedua, Agama harus memberikan pengajaran nilai-nilai anti korupsi secara intensif dan sistematis. Ketiga, Nilai-nilai tersebut diwadahi dalam liturgi atau ritual keagamaan agar terjadi proses internalisasi karakter anti korupsi. Keempat, perlu tindakan nyata individu atau lembaga keagamaan untuk mewujudkan karakter anti korupsi dalam tataran etis di berbagai ruang lingkup kehidupan umat.]]>

<![CDATA[Capitalism has evolved since the time of Matthew’s own community. Capitalism development was mainly cultivated by the Romans who controlled Antioch as the context of Matthew’s own community. The author outlines how communities Matthew emphasizes Jesus’ teaching against the adverse effects of Capitalism, like greed to accumulate wealth for themselves without ever attentive to the needs of the poor and oppressed. Community Matthew pushed ideal vision of Jesus that regard the life of this world by structuring society full of peace and prosperity.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper describes the dynamics of the relationship between religion and society in the minds of scientists. Charles Darwin saw religion as a system of symbols which continue to evolve from the simplest stage to forms more complex. The evolution of religion is an attempt to build a new understanding with regard to the context which is also new. Emile Durkheim viewed religion also has a social function is to maintain the unity of the community. Religion was able to build a collective consciousness to raise social solidarity. Max Weber also viewed religion capable of forming a particular social status. He looked specifically Protestantism strongly supports the creation of community capitalism. Only Karl Marx saw religion as pessimistic. He saw religion as the opium of the people. For him religion only gives false answers. Often religion conserving system-the system that oppresses.]]>

<![CDATA[Economic development is a necessity in a nation longing for progress. But often the building also had its negative effects are not small. One of the adverse effects of development is the horizontal conflict due to land issues. Tension between economic interests with the interests of the people. It is often injured sense of justice. There were changes in the ownership status of previously communal land into private property. Weak community then became lost their land due to the construction process. The author tries to explain the issue of this land and give his view of how development should be implemented for the benefit of the people, especially the weak are not neglected.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper is about to criticize the Pentecostal theology about the healing. The theology believe that the miracle of healing can happen because Jesus died on the cross. He was able to heal all sicknesses and to free people from the shackles of the devil. Furthermore, the concept of God is a good God also used to refer to the belief that God has a strong desire to heal. But in reality, many Christians experience sickness is not healed. So the doctrine of the Pentecostal healing actually makes conflicted for people who have never experienced the healing of sickness, although he has been obedient and trust in the Lord. The author tries to reconstruct the Pentecostal theology of healing that could accommodate such a struggle. At the end of writing the author makes a conclusion that in sickness and suffering severe, the work of the Holy Spirit as the agent of transformative Suffering can not be separated from his work as the agent of the transformative life. The Holy Spirit as the agent of transformative Suffering can wear sickness and suffering experienced by believers to proclaim the work of his reform, which is a new birth. The new birth here interpreted as the transformation of the Holy Spirit in their lives so that their lives can sincerely declare lives according to the values of the Kingdom of God which contains joy, faithfulness, patience, love, truth, peace. These values are stronger than mere physical healing function experienced by a person.]]>

<![CDATA[When reharmonizing a tune,one gives the melody new color by changing its underlying harmony, that is, the melody remains but the mood of the song changes. Reharmonizing melody is already known since long time. There are also composers who arranged earlier composers’s tunes with the aim to commemorate his works or that tunes sound fresher for listeners today. The commercialization of popular music brought with it an exponential increase in the number of people listening music of all kinds, in dance halls and nightclubs as well as on radio and on recordings. In this atmosphere of popularization, old music has had to struggle for survival. It seems reharmonization is an effort to meet listeners’s taste of music.]]>

<![CDATA[Berdasarkan kritikannya terhadap penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, yang terutama lebih banyak menyibukkan diri dengan detail-detail, B. Lang mencoba untuk memaparkan sebuah gambaran yang baru dan hidup tentang Tuhan dalam Alkitab. Menurut pendapatnya, “hasil-hasil penelitian ini seringkali baru dan sangat berkesan, tetapi potret dari Tuhan Ibrani masih tetap saja dalam detail-detail yang tidak terstruktur, tanpa sebuah sistematika dalam kaitan-kaitan yang lebih besar dari detail-detail tersebut.” Dari sana B. Lang menerapkan sebuah pendekatan baru bagi tujuannya, untuk merekonstruksikan sebuah paparan menyeluruh dari Tuhan dalam Alkitab. Dalam tulisan ini penulis hendak memaparkan metode yang digunakan oleh B. Lang dan hasil analisa dari karyanya. Selanjutnya, penulis hendak mengajukan kritik terhadap teologi Perjanjian Lama B.
