Focus and Scope Perspektif Komunikasi focuses on writings that contains research and contemporary thinking in the field of Communication Studies in various perspectives and angles include: 1. Political Communication, features cutting-edge theory-driven empirical research at the intersection of politics and communication. This could be an analytical viewpoints that advance understanding of the practices, processes, content, effects, and policy implications of political communication. 2. Business Communication, address all areas of business communication including but not limited to business composition and information systems only, but also international business communication, management communication, organizational and corporate communication. 3. Marketing Communication, concerning all aspects of marketing and corporate communication, branding both corporate and product-related, and promotion management include integrated marketing communication, advertising, public relations and broadcasting. 4. Development Communication, address the using of communication to facilitate social development, promotes information exchanges to create positive social change via sustainable development.

Abstract

The  purpose  of  writing  this  article  is  to  describe:  (1)  Background  punk  community,  and  (2)  the  roles  of technology, information, and communication  to alleviating the urban poverty of punk. The approach used in the study  is  a  qualitative  deskripstif.  The  research  location  is  in  the  city  of  Yogyakarta.  While,  the  study  subjects were  punks  who  come  from  disadvantaged  backgrounds.  Data  collection  techniques  consisting  of:  (1) observation, (2) in-depth interviews, and (3) documentation. Analysis: (1) induction  when in the field with the pattern  of  triangulation,  (2)  a  holistic  do  after  field.  The  results  showed  that:  First,  poverty  can  be  the background of a person chooses to be a punk. Second, the role of technology, information, and communication is essential in alleviating the urban poverty, especially punk community in the city of  Yogyakarta. Keywords: Technology information and communication, Urban poverty, Punk

Abstract

Democracy  in  Indonesia  have  exams  with  the  emergence  of  the  phenomenon  of  political  dynasty.  The phenomenon of dynastic politics due to five things: first, the impact of the electoral system and the competition the more liberal. Second, the portrait of the failure of political parties in binding constituents .. Third, the lack of regeneration  system  and  internal  patterns  of  rekuitmen  in  political  parties,  especially  the  mechanism  in  the determination of candidates. Fourth, that too much traction power elites of political parties, especially the elite at central level. Fifth, the strengthening of political pragmatism and the decline of militancy cadre which causes the machine party organizations can not be optimal, and may encourage the proliferation of money politics and political  dynasties.  Atut  Chosiyyah  dynastic  political  system  is  legitimized  through  the  local  elections  and parochial political culture Banten people. Several factors are melatarbelakngi birth of prejudice in the election in  Banten  namely  the  lack  of  political  education  by  the  organizers  of  the  election,  the  election  supervisor, prospective  head  region  and  educational  institutions.  And  parochial  political  culture  inherited  money continuously to voters who incidentally have limited knowledge and political awareness. Atut Chosiyyah family group  has  a  network  of  warlords,  clerics  and  political  participants  widely  to  remote  allows  campaign  props scattered in almost every point in Banten. the amount and intensity of Banten people see props build closeness and sympathy of the public.Keywords: Political dynastiy, political culture money

Abstract

Efforts  to  build  cooperation  that  is  born  from  local  wisdom  values  of  a  society  that  aims  to  overcome  the problems  for  example  in  the  aspect  of  livestock  business  activity  is  a  component  of  social  capital  and  social energy  that  must  be  developed  and  maintained  in  order  to  achieve  empowerment  and  independence.  These efforts require communication networks both within and outside the group. Through the communication network occurs the process of communication to share messages or information, especially related to livestock farming. Communication  networks,  social  capital  and  social  energy  of  creative  culture  have  an  important  role  in developing  a  community  institution  that  is  expected  to  lead  to  the  realization  of  empowerment  and independence.  This  article  aims  to  produce  the  theoretical  descriptions  of  communication  networks,  social capital,  institutions,  and  creative  social  and  cultural  energies.  The  method  of  writing  this  article  using  a qualitative approach using literature study (desk study) is by collecting relevant literature.  Keywords: communication network, energy of creative cultural social, social capital

Abstract

Development focus has been evolved. Nowadays, we are in the Age of Creative Economy which mobilized mostly by  Creative  Industry.  However,  Indonesia  has  benefited  in  terms  of  developing  this  sector,  since  it  has  2 acknowledged advantages, such as demographic segmentation and ecosystem buffer and support. Unfortunately, it is not enough to make ideal and successful creative ecosystem. Communication in the system should also be developed. BCCF is a supporting communication system in the level of city, who can be an agent of change and a  creative  hub  between  stakeholder  and  community.  Still,  it  has  limitation.  To  give  some  recommendation  to improve  the  communication  process  in  this  supporting  communication  system  is  the  purposes  of  this  paper. Blackbox analysis shows there are some elements in the system such as, controllable input, uncontrollable input, management,  environment,  controllable  output  and  uncontrollable  output.  We  should highlight  uncontrollable input like youth motivation, community readiness and stakeholder commitment which are easily up and down. It will influence how the system achievement, gaining expected output or unexpected output. Based on the analysis, the  communication  strategy  should  refer  to  communication  managerial.  It  means  communication  process  must be appropriated with the most user in the system, which is the youth.  Keywords: communication system, creative economy, local potential

Abstract

The phenomenon of the emergence of Blogs in addition to being used as a medium of information as well as a media  campaign.  For example,  Travel-blog that promotes the Tebing Keraton so that the readers will be interested to visit the Tebing Keraton in Bandung. This study aims to determine the meaning of content of the Travel-blog Cliff Palace; the  meaning of images or visual content; and typography of Travel-blog as a  media promotion of Tebing Keraton. This research use qualitative approach with semiotics research method from Roland Barthes. Sources of  information in this study are three Travel-blogs are: www.pergidulu.com; www.satyawinnie.com and www.cokysihombing.com. Data taken from the  screenshoot  of  each  Travel-blog. The results of this study indicate that: the meaning of the text content of each Travel-blog is almost entirely the same, ie Tebing Keraton has a natural beauty that can make the visitors amazed. Meanwhile, the visual or image content of each blog confirmed the image of the beauty of the Tebing Keraton by showing the green trees, fog, clouds and radiant rays from the rising sun. The thing that distinguished these three blogs is how to write each story, the use of sentences and language, and the typeface.Keywords:  travel-blog, media, promotion, Tebing Keraton.

Abstract

The  objectives  of  this  research  are  to  observe  and  analyze  climate  organizational  communication  and  leadership motivation  performance  in  achieving  corporate  mission  of  PLN  Inc.  Surakarta.  The  method  used  for  this  research  is descriptive  qualitative.  The  analysis  proves  that  the  communication  climate  in  PLN  Inc  is  supporting  the  leadership motivation performance. Several supporting factors of the finding are trust, support, honesty, and transparency among the  leaders  of  the  top,  middle  and  lower  level.  Humans  are  motivated  by  communication  climate  and  creative  and participative  working  system,  when  someone  has  sense  of  belonging,  automatically,  they  will  support  the  process  of achieving the corporate mission. A satisfying communication climate can be achieved through creating a shared vision to assure the free flow of information and allow subordinates to participate in decision making processes. Meanwhile, the  existing  organizational  climate  is  formed  through  several  factors;  responsibility,  organizational  or  management structure  which  is  tailored  based  on  the  needs  of  companies,  and  working  motivation  from  the  leaders  so  that  every problem can be solved through solid teamwork to achieve the corporate mission. Keywords: organizational communication, communication climate, working motivation

Abstract

Globalization  has  removed  the  boundaries  of  communication  systems  between  one  region  and  another  region that is transferred very fast through various media such as television, magazines, and internet. National culture in  a  country  is  rapidly  becoming  a  global  culture  and  becoming  a  capable  industry  in  influencing  national culture  in  other  countries.  Cultural  In  the  era  of  reform,  imperialism  appears  to  be  more  prominent  than  the previous regime era that influenced all the  joints  of economic, political and cultural  life.  Cultural  imperialism today,  not  only  from  the  West  but  also  from  non-Westerners  like  India,  Korea,  China,  Japan  and  Turkey.  In response  to  this,  an  open  cultural  strategy  is  needed  to  take  the  universal  values  in  all  areas  of  science, technology, economics and culture without losing the identity as a sovereign and dignified nation in the midst of other nations. Abstract

A virtual world had been created to join the world of reality. Activities of political elites, especially in a political  setting,  with  the  efficacy  of  the  strategy  by  clicking  and  engineering  the  public  opinion  of discourses; war discourse by harnessing the power of media. Social media in a time vortex became a very  significant  machine  to  determine  our  lifestyles,  political  attitudes  in  addition  to  bring  online  a very lucrative business online, including politics. Mingling of political and economic interests became so  dominant  in  the  realm  of  the  media  industry.  The  presence  of  social  cyber  space  provided  a  new perspective  in  understanding  the  development  of  political  discourse.  In  this  virtual  world  era,  the current information relating to politics is easy to obtain and there had  been a fatality information that ended up being a mockery, entertainment and humor that no longer had a value, function and meaning, they  were mingled and distorted by the capitalist interests  who only promote business oriented alone regardless of content. The presence of social media became an implement of shaping the new culture included  culture  and  attitudes  of  political  elites,  mirror-imaging  and  political  marketing  that  had created  divisions  and  made  the  boxes  of  support  political  for  the  political  actors  with  political advertising strategy in the form of imaging. Accommodations of mass media for the image of politics were understood in the perspective of the economy, especially  in the law of supply and demand that became  the  logical  characteristic  and  market  regulation.  When  politic  become  a  commodity,  and ultimately the reality of elections can be capitalized, the media and the public image of political cyber regarded as legitimate and so natural, and everyone is free to create strategies to meet their interests.Keywords: Political Communication, Elites, Virtual Culture
