Abstract

Salah satu jenis serangga, yaitu kupu-kupu berasal dari ordo lepidoptera yang memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam mempertahankan ekosistem. Kawasan penyangga taman nasional gunung leuser dikenal sebagai kawasan konservasi dan juga sebagai kawasan ekowisata yang dimanfaatkan Masyarakat setempat. Keaenekaragaman jenis kupu-kupu yang berhabitat di Kawasan tangkahan Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser dan Perkebunan kelapa sawit adalah pokok bahasan penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghitung jumlah dan variasi keanekaragaman spesies kupu-kupu yang ada di Kawasan Penyangga Tangkahan Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser dan Perkebunan kelapa sawit berdasarkan waktu aktif nya pagi dan sore. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan pada pengamatan keanekaragam kupu-kupu ini adalah metode pollard transect dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Jalur transect sepanjang 350 meter yang akan dilakukan di 2 habitat yaitu hutan dan di kebun kelapa sawit. Setiap bagian terdiri 10 jumlah plot. Ukuran plot 20 x 20 meter dengan jarak antar plot 50 meter. Di wilayah Penyangga Tangkahan Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser (TNGL) terdapat 4 famili kupu-kupu dengan 14 spesies dengan 66 jenis individu kupu-kupu. Sedangkan pada habitat Perkebunan kelapa sawit hanya 1 famili saja yang ditemukan dengan 3 spesies kupu-kupu. Dan 12 jenis individu kupu-kupu.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of planting distance and urea fertilizer dosage on the growth of fragrant lemongrass in a polyculture cultivation system under rubber stands. The research was conducted on Jl. Sei Putih Rispa, Kelapa Satu Village, Galang District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, at an altitude of about 65 m above sea level from May to August 2025. The experiment used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: planting distance and urea dosage. Planting distance consisted of three levels, namely J1 (20 × 40 cm), J2 (20 × 60 cm), and J3 (20 × 80 cm). Urea dosage consisted of four levels: U0 (0 g/plant), U1 (5 g/plant), U2 (10 g/plant), and U3 (20 g/plant). These treatments produced 12 combinations with three replications, resulting in 36 plots, each with four samples, totaling 144 plants. Observations were made at harvest, including root fresh weight, shoot fresh weight, root volume, root dry weight, shoot dry weight, and root-shoot ratio. The results indicated that planting distance significantly influenced root fresh weight, shoot fresh weight, root volume, root dry weight, and shoot dry weight, whereas urea dosage did not show a significant effect on the measured parameters. The most favorable planting distance for fragrant lemongrass growth was 20 × 80 cm, followed by 20 × 60 cm, suggesting that wider spacing supported better plant development in a polyculture system under rubber stands.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of various doses of eco-enzyme on the growth of Granola Kembang potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) plantlets. The study was conducted at the Screen House of the Kutagadung Horticultural Seed Center, Berastagi, Karo Regency, from December 2017 to January 2018. A completely randomized design (CRD) was used with four eco-enzyme dose treatments: 0 mg/L (control), 70 mg/L, 150 mg/L, and 250 mg/L, each repeated three times. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, and leaf area. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and followed by a 5% DMRT test. The results showed that eco-enzyme application had a significant effect on the growth of potato planlets. The 150 mg/L dose produced the best growth in all parameters, with an average plant height of 12.84 cm, 10.23 leaves, and a leaf area of 36.77 cm². The 250 mg/L dose was not significantly different from the 150 mg/L dose, but it was higher than the control. It can be concluded that the 150 mg/L dose is the optimum dose for the growth of Granola Kembang potato planlets.
