Jurnal Auladuna mencakup tentang pendidikan terutama dalam, kajian, aplikasi teori, hasil penelitian, dan pengajaran dalam bidang keilmuan ranah pendidikan dasar dalam program studi Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) dan diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam setahun dan menjadi sarana bagi peneliti, akademisi, dan praktisi yang tertarik dengan kajian pendidikan dan pembelajaran dasar dan berkeinginan untuk menyalurkan pemikiran dan temuannya, terutama yang berkaitan dengan Kajian dalam bidang keilmuan di madrasah ibtidaiyah / sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to memorize short surahs of the Qur’an Hadith subject. Memorizing short surahs is a funtamental aspect of islamic education as it is closely related to daily worship and the development of students’ religius character. This reserch amployed a Classroom Action Reserch (CAR) apporach, carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and refklection. The subjesubjects werw 20 students who dad difficulties in memorizing and reciting qur’anic verses. The chain memoeization technique was implemented through repetitive group recitation and individual turns, fostering an interactive and collaborative learning environment. The result indicated a signivicant improvement and students’ memorization skills, with the class average increasing from 62,65 in the pre-cycle (66% mastery) to 75.65 in cycle I (76%) and 81,6 in cycle II (82%). In addition to quantitative gains, students also showed increased self-confidence, cocetration, and participation.The succes of this technique was akso supported by the teacher’s role as a ficilitator and parental involvement at home. Chain memorization proved to be effection and is recommended for regular use in Qur’anic learning at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Smart Box Literacy–based learning media and examine its effectiveness in improving the beginning reading skills of grade II students at SDN Rato, Lambu District. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model, which was modified into five stages: (1) preliminary study, (2) planning, (3) initial product development, (4) limited-scale trials, and (5) product revision. This study involved 18 grade II students as research subjects. The results show that the Smart Box Literacy media is valid and suitable for use in beginning reading instruction, with validation scores of 92% from media experts (very valid category) and 90% from material experts (very valid category). The effectiveness test using paired sample t-test statistical analysis indicated a significant increase in students’ average reading scores after using the media compared to before its use. Furthermore, both teachers and students gave highly positive responses to the media, noting that it was engaging, easy to use, and helpful in improving students’ reading comprehension. Therefore, Smart Box Literacy is declared effective and feasible to be used as an innovative, engaging, and relevant learning medium to enhance beginning reading skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era drives higher education institutions to transform through the utilization of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep learning approaches, in order to produce graduates who are both adaptive and globally competitive. This study aims to design and evaluate the effectiveness of an innovative learning model employing AI-based deep learning to enhance the extending knowledge of undergraduate students in the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program at Universitas Sulawesi Barat. The primary focus is to examine how AI integration can strengthen students’ critical analysis, creativity, and digital collaboration skills. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent design was applied, where quantitative data were collected through surveys of more than half of the 2024 cohort (±100 students) and 15 lecturers, while qualitative data were obtained from semi-structured interviews and classroom observations. Survey findings reveal that AI integration in the learning process and the ease of technology access fall into the high category (means of 4.18 and 4.05, respectively), whereas AI support for personalized learning is rated moderate–high (mean 3.92). The implementation of AI significantly improved critical analysis (mean 4.22) and digital collaboration (mean 4.11), although student creativity remained moderate (mean 3.88) due to a tendency to rely on AI systems. Qualitative results corroborate the quantitative data, indicating increased active participation and student confidence, while also highlighting the need for pedagogical strategies to stimulate original ideas. Overall, the study concludes that an innovative learning design grounded in AI-based deep learning effectively broadens extending knowledge and fosters twenty-first-century competencies, offering implications for curriculum development, faculty training, and digital infrastructure. Future research is recommended to integrate project-based or inquiry-driven approaches to further optimize student creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of 21st-century skills (4C: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration) with Islamic values in learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and library research method, the study reviews relevant national and international literature from 2020-2025 related to 4C development and Islamic education. Data were analyzed through content and thematic analysis to identify key concepts, strategies, and challenges in applying 4C within Islamic schools. The findings reveal that learning models such as STEM, Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Quantum Learning effectively foster students’ critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. However, the integration of Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ta’awun (cooperation), ijtihad (creative effort), and tafakkur (reflection) remains underexplored. This study proposes a new conceptual framework, the 4C-Islamic Integration Model, combining 21st-century competencies with Qur’an-based values to promote holistic and character-based learning. Theoretically, it enriches the discourse of progressive Islamic education, while practically it offers guidance for teachers and policymakers to design creative, collaborative, and value-oriented learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to analyze the effect of the TKN learning model assisted by digital comics on the understanding of Pancasila values among fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Banyuasri. This study is a quasi-experimental research using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The independent variable in this study is the TKN learning model assisted by digital comics, while the dependent variable is the students' understanding of Pancasila values. The population, which also serves as the sample in this study, consists of 38 fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Banyuasri. The research consists of three stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage of the research. The data collection method used is the test method. The instrument used is an essay test related to the material on Pancasila values. The data analysis methods employed are quantitative descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using one-way ANOVA. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the TKN learning model assisted by digital comics on the understanding of Pancasila values among fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Banyuasri, with an F-value of 49.684 and a significance level of 0.000.

Abstract

Hadrah extracurricular is one of the activities that helps the formation of religious character in schools. Through this activity, it is hoped that the religious character of each student can be formed. 1) The formulation of the objectives of the hadrah extracurricular activity program aims to enable students to have an Islamic artistic soul and be able to achieve a religious personality or good character according to Islamic teachings. The selection of the hadrah extracurricular activity program is carried out once a year which is attended by the head of the foundation, the principal, and teachers/staff/employees. Identification and direction of sources are carried out so that students have an Islamic artistic soul, a good religious character, and are qualified in terms of their knowledge. 2) The role of hadrah extracurricular activities in the formation of the religious character of students at MIMA Condro Jember is that hadroh is an entry point for today's people to know religion. So it can change bad speech into good, and also people who participate in hadrah tend to be close to people who understand religion. Hadrah extracurricular activities can also shape students' religious character, such as strong faith, consistency in worship, purification of the soul (Tazkiyatun Nafs), noble morals, social responsibility, knowledge, and good deeds.

Abstract

The use of technology-based media in learning has become a necessity in the digital era of 5.0. Data from the World Economic Forum (2020) in the Future of Jobs Report 2020 Geneva states that 50% of future jobs will require critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills. This necessitates preparation for teachers to enhance students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of technology-based media on students' HOTS. This study uses a literature review approach guided by the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) diagram to select relevant literature. The analysed articles focus on technology/digital-based media and students' HOTs in primary schools published between 2020 and 2025. Literature searches were conducted using Google Scholar and Research Gatesinta. From the screening results, five main articles were identified that discussed the use of digital media such as Powtoon, Wordwall, Proprofs, and interactive PowerPoint in developing HOTs. The synthesis of findings indicates that digital media that are visual, interactive, and flexible can enhance learning interest, student engagement, and analytical, evaluative, and creative skills in line with the revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The success of digital media utilisation is significantly influenced by teacher readiness, digital literacy, and infrastructure support. Therefore, the integration of technology-based media with active and constructivist learning approaches is essential in stimulating students' HOTS abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the dual curriculum policy in educational planning, focusing on assessment data management at Al Azhar Elementary School. This study is motivated by the complexity of assessment data management in a dual curriculum system that integrates the National Curriculum and the Cambridge Curriculum. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method through in-depth interviews with various educational stakeholders, learning observations based on Cambridge International Standards, and dual curriculum documentation studies. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques with a focus on the planning, implementation, and evaluation aspects of assessment data management. The results show that the dual curriculum assessment data management planning has been well integrated through a structured documentation system and a digital platform that facilitates tracking of student progress. Evaluations are conducted periodically with stakeholder involvement to ensure quality and accountability. However, several challenges were identified, such as the complexity of the assessment system, the need for teacher competency development, and harmonization of assessment standards. This study recommends the development of a more integrated assessment data management system, a teacher capacity building program in assessment literacy, and strengthening collaboration with Cambridge International to optimize the implementation of the dual curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of using image-based puzzle games as a media to enhance students' understanding of phonological concepts related to word segmentation in early-grade students at an Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). The research adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes during the teaching and learning process. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and interpretively through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing phases aligned with Miles and Huberman's model. The findings indicate that the implementation of image-based puzzle games significantly increased students' activeness, motivation, and comprehension of phonological concepts, especially in understanding word structure and the relationship between sounds and letters. The innovative use of this media helps students connect syllable forms with meanings visually and contextually, making the learning process more engaging and meaningful. This research provides valuable insights for educators to develop innovative, game-based instructional strategies suitable for elementary-level students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan pendidikan dan strategi pencegahan perundungan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Dairi yang dikenal sebagai sekolah bebas perundungan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan kepala madrasah, guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan siswa sebagai sampel melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pencegahan perundungan tidak muncul secara kebetulan, melainkan merupakan hasil integrasi nilai-nilai agama, keteladanan guru, pembiasaan karakter, keterlibatan orang tua, dan tata kelola madrasah yang efektif. Program-program seperti kegiatan rohani sehari-hari, pendekatan Keadilan Restoratif, Sahabat Tanpa Batas, dan komunikasi intensif antar elemen sekolah telah terbukti mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan suportif. Namun, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan terkait aspek perundungan siber yang belum tereksplorasi dan keterbatasan konselor profesional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya disarankan menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran dan melibatkan lebih banyak madrasah untuk memperluas generalisasi temuan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa budaya sekolah yang religius, humanis, dan kolaboratif merupakan landasan penting dalam pencegahan perundungan di madrasah.
