Abstract

Responsible character education is the attitude and behavior of a person to carry out their duties and responsibilities as themselves, society, environment, country, and God. The formation of the character of trust can be applied through the activities of internal and external learning. Responsibility is an attitude that must be formed so that students can be accountable for what they have done. The purpose of this study was to: (1) find out the character forms responsible for class VIII C MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Batu (2) to find out the efforts of social studies teachers informing capable characters of class VIII MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Batu (3) know what factors encourage and hinder the formation of role responsible for class VIII C MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Batu. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a type of case study research. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that, (1) Character forms are responsible for students namely always doing school work well, attending congregational prayers in school and punishments for those who violate school rules by using persuasive approaches and giving examples in their daily lives (2 ) The implementation of character formation is responsible to be carried out in the classroom and outside the classroom. Application through habituation by the teacher (3) There are driving and inhibiting factors in the way the character formation is responsible for class VIII C students at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Batu. One of them is habituation carried out by the school and teacher teachers, and also one of the inhibiting factors here is about environmental factors that do not support the attitude of responsibility.Keywords: The character of Responsibility, Integrated Social Studies

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) find out the formal education level of Banjarsari Village, Ngronggot Subdistrict, Nganjuk Regency, 2) find out the perceptions of Banjarsari Village, Ngronggot Subdistrict, Nganjuk Regency towards higher education, 3) find out the meaning of rural community perceptions of higher education with theoretical concepts George Herbert Mead. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, which is describing and interpreting existing data to describe reality in accordance with the actual phenomenon. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the formal education level of the Banjarsari Village community is still low, where elementary school education is 612 people with a percentage of 22.18%, junior high school as many as 739 people with a percentage of 26.78%, high school as many as 1094 people with a percentage of 39.65 %, Colleges as many as 142 people with a percentage of 5.14%, and not as many as 172 with a percentage of 6.23%, 2) the perceptions of rural communities in the village of Banjarsari towards tertiary education are quite good, but to realize their children go on to college less, 3) the relevance of the perceptions of rural communities in higher education and the concept of George Herbert Mead's theory, can be seen from internal factors, namely the economic level and educational background of parents, while external factors, namely the environment.Keywords: Rural Society; Higher education; George Herbert Mead's theory

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mind mapping method to increase student learning interest in integrated Social Sciences subjects class VIII A MTsN Jambewangi Selopuro Blitar. The research method uses a qualitative approach, while the type of research used is qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data, namely the influence of student learning interest during the learning process takes place using the mind mapping method. The data sources in this study were class VIII A MTsN Jambewangi which numbered 36 students. The results showed that the mind mapping method can increase the learning interest of class VIII A students of MTsN Jambewangi, proven to increase the first cycle by 72.3 while in the second cycle to 82.9 while in the third cycle it became 94.7. While the influence of interest in learning can be seen that the average value in the first cycle is 2.1, in the second cycle becomes 2.9 while in the third cycle is 3.8.Keywords: mind mapping method; ability to increase learning interest

Abstract

In religious life can’t be separated with the social interaction, more people who have a different religious background, with the social contact between communities and spiritual values, of course, can build tolerance among religious people. The purpose of this study is to: (1). Describe the pattern of social interaction in developing an understanding of the community in Dodol Hamlet Village Wonoagung District Kasembon (2). Describe the forms of community tolerance Dodol Hamlet Village Wonoagung Kasembon District. To achieve the above objectives, a qualitative research approach with phenomenology is used. The key instrument is the researcher himself, and the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data triangulation technique by digging data from various sources then exposing the data and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study found that the creation of harmony, because of each of the religious adherents of each other open and accept the existence of other religions. The existence of religious diversity that exists in Dodol doesn’t make the interaction between the people of Dodol to be tenuous and rigid, it actually makes its own beauty that can be seen in the pattern of community interaction Dodol citizens. In conducting activities that are social, Dodol people do not consider the majority or minority groups. They always instilled a strong sense of brotherhood and uphold the attitude of mutual help in their society. In relation to building religious tolerance, Dodol people generally have a very dynamic pattern of harmony. This can be seen from the pattern of religious social relations and social relations patterns, which will explain how the pattern of religious harmony that occurred in Dodol Hamlet. In addition, there are also factors that affect the tolerance that occurred in Dodol, namely: family ties, mutual respect, and respect between religious people and mutual help.Keywords: social interaction, tolerance, religious

Abstract

Some students still consider IPS as a boring subject. It is because almost all material contains descriptive so encourages the teacher used a lecture method. Many students felt sleepy when the learning occurred. Monopoly as one of the fun games could be modified into social instructional media. So that students could be more active and enthusiastic about learning. The aim of this research is: (1) Produce teaching materials in instructional media form; (2) Know the validity of instructional media; (3) Know the ratio of control class and experiment class result. The method that is used in this research is the Research and Development (RD) method, to create teaching material. The subject of product assessment for the worthiness of this instructional media is divided by 3 experts: content expert, media expert, and learning expert. The target of product trial are the students of grade 8 Islamic Junior High School Student Nurul Ulum Malang. The result of this research is produced 3D product resemble a monopoly game. The difference is these learning media have material of Indonesia Freedom preparations theme. The result of this development research in the form of monopoly game has the level of eligibility by containing expert validity is 95%, media expert validity is 80%, and learning expert validity is 75%. The average of control class post-test result is 72.5, and experiment class post-test result is 79.1. On gain, score tries out knew that control class was increasing 14.3%, while experiment class was 19.7%. it can be concluded that learning outcome of the class using instructional media based on social science monopoly game is more increasing than a class which is not using instructional media based on social science monopoly.Keywords: instructional media, monopoly game, social science

Abstract

Perception is a process of delivering relevant information captured by the senses of the environment which then organizes it in its mind, interprets, experiences, and processes everything that happens in that environment. The factors of perception are a process of delivering relevant information captured by the senses of the situation, set, attention, value system, previous experience, selective attention. University is the level of education after secondary education, which includes diploma education programs, graduate, master, specialist, and doctorate, which are organized by the university. This research was conducted in an effort to reach the research objectives, namely: (1) To explain the perception of the entrepreneur in the Gudang Garam market Unit 8 Kediri city about the importance of continuing school children to university. This research uses qualitative approach and descriptive type, data collection is done by using the method of observation, interview, and documentation. Then the data has been collected in the form of words analyzed with Miles Huberman model. The results showed that: (1). An entrepreneur assumes continuing education of children to university is very important, (2). Entrepreneur send their children to university have hope that the children have a better future from than their parents, the goal is achieved, can become government employees or become civil servants and add insight to the knowledge of his son and as a bridge to achieve success in the future, (3 ). Past entrepreneur experiences greatly affect the entrepreneur’s perception of continuing his or her child's education to university as experienced by some traders, (4). Entrepreneurs have figures who influence their perceptions in educating their children.Keywords: Perception, Entrepreneur, University.
