Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the risk behavior of onion farmers in District Enrekang. A random sample of 75 onion farmers was selected for interviews. The model used to analyze the behavior of risk is a model developed by Kumbhakar (2002). The analysis showed that the average behavior of onion farmers are risk averse to the use of various inputs. In order for farmers to take risks and enhance productivity, strengthening institutions such as farmers' groups or unions as well as enhancing the role of the agricultural extension will be required.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to verify and analyze the factors that affect the liquidity in sub-sector metal industries listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).  We purposively use 10 firms out of 16 firms because of these 16 firms does not meet our criteria. This paper comprehensively investigates step-by-step of statistical analysis from classical assumption testing such as normality, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, and multicollinearity and then continued by testing model and variables using t-test and F-test. our testing result shows that we do not have problem of classical assumptions. We also find that net working capital turnover, account receivable turnover and inventory turnover significantly affect firm liquidity.

Abstract

The study tries to seek evidence whether the ethical judgment of the accounting students following treatment of watching ethical-dilemma movie and make a reflection as suggested by Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm Approach. The study is a quasi-experimental using posttest only with an experimental and control group approach. Using the respondents of senior accounting students in a university in Indonesia, we found no ethical judgment difference between students received the treatment and the control group. However, the score of the treated group was higher than the score of the control group. Under a specific limitation, this study suggests that a reflective learning method is an excellent idea to improve students' ethical judgment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of safety culture, safety leadership and the safety climate on organizational commitment and employee performance. Using the survey method, responses from 218 respondents were collected to understand the complete picture of a port service industry in Indonesia. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Model (SEM) and it reveals that each safety culture variable, safety climate safety leadership, and employee commitment has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Organizational commitment variables may enhance the effects of safety culture, safety leadership and a safety climate on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the board of commissioners’ characteristics, managerial ownership, and financial performance on financial risk disclosure. The target population of this study was sharia banks registered in the Indonesian banking directory in 2012-2016. This study used secondary data in the form of annual financial statements obtained from the source sites of each bank. Using purposive sampling, 11 sharia banks in Indonesia were selected as the appropriate sample. This study employed a scoring technique to measure the level of financial risk disclosure. The results show that the independent variables including the board of commissioners size, independent board of commissioners proportion, profitability, and size as the control variable significantly influenced the variable of FRD. However, the variable of CAR, FDR, and managerial ownership had no effect on financial risk disclosure. The result of F test showed that independent variables included in the regression model simultaneously affected the dependent variable.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically test the patient's perception of the quality of inpatient services, and its effects on the loyalty of the patient, with patient satisfaction as a mediation variable. Data collection was performed by using five points Likert scales with judgment sampling approach. The study involved 160 patients of the dr. Prijonegoro Hospital, Sragen. Descriptive analysis was conducted followed by measurement analyses to ensure the validity and reliability. This research found that inpatient service quality has a significant positive effect on patients' satisfaction, patient satisfaction positively affect patients' loyalty, and patients' satisfaction partially mediated the effect of inpatient service quality on patient loyalty. Therefore, by improving the quality of services, it is expected that the patients were satisfied and then loyal after satisfied with inpatient service quality in the hospital.
