Abstract

This paper explores the learning styles in classical Islamic education. The focus is on the learning process recommended by BurhanuddinZarnuji in his famous work of Ta'līm Al-Muta'allim. Through literature research, it is known that the learning styles developed are still not as they are now expected to be. More established classifications and categorizations are still in need of further steps.

Abstract

Learning media is very important to be used by teachers to make it easier for students to understand what is conveyed by the teacher and its learning goals expected. The media used by teachers at State Islamic Primary School (MIN) Jejeran are LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), projector screens, subject books, Student Worksheets (Student Worksheets), Power points, Main Manager, Ms. Word and the environment that is set-up in such a way that can be used as a medium in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali perspektif Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (BTI) yang identik dengan gagasan multikulturalisme dalam ajaran Islam secara literer. Dari penelusuran secara filosofis dapat dikembangkan untuk penguatan implementasi pendidikan agama Islam di Indonesia. Melalui filsafat Islam bisa diketahui bahwa manusia dalam penerimaan tatanan moralnya tidak selalu sama dengan manusia lainnya. Ketidaksamaan ini disebabkan karena perbedaan karakter alamiah yang mendasari setiap individu. Implikasinya dalam menerima perbaikan juga sangat beragam. Perspektif BTI itu bisa dikembangkan dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam. Untuk itu, pendidik diharuskan untuk menentukan strategi yang tepat guna membentuk pribadi muslim Indonesia bersusila menghargai kemajemukan.

Abstract

The main problem of students in Indonesia in learning English as a second languages is that they have been learning English since they studied in the basic schools but they cannot communicate (read, write, speak, listen [RWSL]) in English well as some researches show it. The problem is concerned with teaching and learning components that are students, teachers, curriculum, learning material, teaching and learning activity, classrooms, and learning tools. The article focuses on learning material and teaching and learning activity that should drive studentsaat higher education able to communicate in English well. The learning material includes knowledge, skills and expertise, values, and attitudes and behaviors. The teaching and learning activity contains (1) paradigm shift from instruction paradigm to learning paradigm and (2) communicative learning strategy.

Abstract

This evaluation study discusses the implementation of education of Al-Islam subject learning at Muhammadiyah Elementary School Mrisi, Bantul district. Supporting factors and inhibitors also become an integral part of study. The results of this qualitative study suggest developing Al-Islam subject learning in the classroom. Nevertheless the learning of other Islamic religious education (PAI) outside the classroom can have an impact on the success of learning Al-Islam compared to discourage it. Such research is expected to have beneficial for the development of PAI learning in Muhammadiyah Elementary School that brings about change in achieving overall educational progress.
