Abstract

Pendidikan Khas adalah program yang dirancang khusus untuk memenuhi pelbagai keperluan pelajar khas. Bagi pelajar pendidikan khas yang ditempatkan secara berasingan, teknik yang sesuai telah digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran. Sebagai tambahan kepada teknik pembelajaran yang sesuai, infrastruktur juga telah disediakan untuk memudahkan proses pembelajaran pelajar pendidikan khas ini. Infrastruktur adalah kemudahan yang disediakan untuk tujuan pembangunan. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemudahan pendidikan khas untuk murid berkeperluan khas, untuk mengenal pasti prasarana pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang mencukupi dan terkini untuk pelajar berkeperluan khas di SK Kuala Kubu Bharu, untuk mengenal pasti pembiayaan yang sesuai dan relevan untuk pelajar berkeperluan khas untuk tujuan pendidikan dan infrastruktur mereka, dan memahami pelaksanaan PPKI SK Kuala Kubu Bharu mengenai infrastruktur dan pembiayaan untuk murid berkeperluan khas. Kaedah kajian ini adalah temu bual separa berstruktur. Pelajar di sekolah pendidikan khas yang dikaji menghadapi masalah dengan infrastruktur yang mencukupi dan bertambah. Lagipun, infrastruktur adalah keadaan atau persekitaran yang perlu dipenuhi oleh setiap sekolah agar para pelajarnya dapat menggunakan kemudahan tersebut, terutamanya pelajar yang bersekolah itu adalah pelajar kurang upaya atau kurang upaya. Learning Problem for the Special Education Students: Funds and Infrastructure Abstract: Special Education is a program designed specifically to meet the diverse needs of special students. For special education students who are placed separately, appropriate techniques have been used in the learning and teaching process. In addition to appropriate learning techniques, infrastructure has also been provided to facilitate the learning process of these special education students. Infrastructure is a facility provided for development purposes. The objectives of this study were to analyze special education facilities for students with special needs, to identify sufficient and current teaching and learning infrastructure for special needs students at SK Kuala Kubu Bharu, to identify appropriate and relevant funding for students with special needs for educational purposes and their infrastructure, and understand the implementation of SK Kuala Kubu Bharu's PPKI on infrastructure and funding for special needs students. The method of this study is semi-structured interviews. Students in the special education school studied are having problems with sufficient and increasing infrastructure. After all, infrastructure is a condition or environment that every school needs to meet in order for its students to be able to use the facilities, especially those students who attend the school are students with disabilities or disabilities. Abstract

The environment is fast degrading. Experts believe that in the nearest future, the environment will collapse, if the current rate of degradation continues. One of the main drivers of this degradation is believed to be technology. This has led to the widespread perception of technology as a curse rather than a blessing to the environment and humanity. This work agrees that technology is one of the main causes of environmental problems but disagrees that technology is a curse. Technology in itself is value-neutral; it is its usage that leads to bad or good consequences. It is the contention of these researchers, that technology when well driven could restore the health of the environment. Technology due to its wrong positioning in the past has caused environmental problems. It could be repositioned to foster environmental health in the future. Technology therefore, has the potential, to restore and heal what it has wounded, when properly driven.

Abstract

Far from being a banality or a philosophical naivety, there is a quintessential nexus between language and meaning, in the philosophy of Jacques Derrida (1930-2004). The thrust of Derrida’s idea is that, language is chaotic and meaning is never fixed, in a way that allows us to effectively determine it (that is, meaning is unstable, undecided, provisional and ever differed). As a Poststructuralist, Derrida’s quarrel was with Logocentrism, which privileges speech over writing, and hitherto assume that, we have an idea in our minds, which our writing or speaking attempts to express. But, this, for Derrida, is not the case, for no one possesses the full significance of their words. Texts, in some sense write themselves: that is, are independent of an author or his intentions. Thus, in Derrida’s thinking, intentionality does not play quite the same role, as is traditionally conceived in the philosophy of language; our intention does not determine the meaning of what we are saying. Instead, the meaning of the words we use, determines our intention, when we speak. This does not mean that we do not mean what we are saying, or that we cannot have intentions in communicating. But, since language is a social structure that developed long before and exists prior to our use of it as individuals, we have to learn to use it and tap into its web of meanings, in order to communicate with others; hence, the need for deconstruction. It is this process of deconstruction, which can point the way to an understanding of language, freed from all forms of structuralism, logo centrism, phono centrism, phallogocentrism, the myth or metaphysics of presence and also open up a leeway, to the idea of difference. Thus, this paper, attempts an expository-philosophical analysis of Derrida’s eclectic contributions to language and meaning, by drawing insights from his magnus opus, captioned De la grammatologie (of Grammatology).

Abstract

The scientific method of artificial insemination is one of the reproductive technology that came into widespread use some decades ago. With this method, some couples with fertility problems can now have children through artificial insemination; a process where concentrated male semen is introduced into the female reproductive system artificially in the clinic for childbearing. The increasing cases of childlessness, infertility or barrenness among married couples and request from the homosexuals (gay and lesbians) have given rise to high demand for artificial insemination. Today, there are commercial sperm banks that store frozen sperms for sell to those who need them. This artificial method of childbearing has generated serious controversy among theologians, bioethical and Christian scholars. Artificial insemination has indeed given hope to many couples globally whose marriages were threatened due to the problem of barrenness, childlessness or reproductive malfunctioning. The major Christian and ethical concern is that the process is artificial and manipulative rather than being natural. This paper aims to examine the biblical perspective of this phenomenal scientific breakthrough and show whether or not artificial insemination is compatible with the Christian doctrine of marriage and childbearing. The research method adopted is descriptive, using secondary materials from journals, textbooks and websites to elucidate the points. The study reveals that there is no consensuses agreement on the issue of reproductive technology among Christian scholars and the biblical interpretation of some related passages are not explicit on issues of reproductive technology. The study, therefore, recommends a more natural way of treating the issues of infertility, barrenness and childlessness by investigating into the causes of infertility and proffer a curative solution rather than resort into masturbation and commercialization of human sperm and egg.
