Journal of Contemporary Accounting (JCA) is a peer-reviewed journal published three times a year (January-April, May-August, and September-December) by Master in Accounting Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia. Abstract

This study examines the antecedents and consequences of the use of the performance measurement system of local government. It aimed to investigate the effect of organizational culture, external pressures, and leadership commitment using a performance measurement system. It also further investigates whether the use of a performance measurement system affects public accountability. The data were collected by distributing a questionnaire to the local government staff. The sample of this study was civil servants of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. There were 95 respondents in this study. In analyzing the data, multiple linear regression was used. The results indicate that organizational culture, external pressures, and leadership commitments significantly affected the performance measurement system. It also found that using a performance measurement system had a significant positive effect on public accountability.

Abstract

The implication of this research is that company managers are expected to make dividend payout ratio decisions by looking at the factors that influence it, this is hoped that the company can avoid agency problems that can cause agency costs in the company, for corporate investors it is expected to be used as reference material for investing in the company by looking at the factors that affect the dividend payout ratio before investing, this study is expected to provide information about the factors that can affect the dividend payout ratio in the financial sector companies and is expected to be used as a reference for further research in the field of dividend payout ratios, further researchers can add other variables to find out other variables that affect the dividend payout ratio. This study is a study that uses secondary data and this study aims to determine the effect of company size, institutional ownership, leverage, and profitability on dividend payout ratio. The population in this study were financial sector companies on the Indonesian stock exchange in the period 2016-2018. The sample in this study were 16 companies in a 3year period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the data analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that institutional ownership and profitability have a significant positive effect on the dividend payout ratio. Meanwhile, the variable company size and leverage does not have a significant effect on the dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

This research begins with a phenomenon where some government institutions experienced an increase in corruption cases in budget absorption so that it did not reflect the implementation of effective good government governance. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of implementing an internal control system and the enforcement of good government governance on the level of budget abuse control and its impact on public accountability. This research is quantitative research. Collecting data using a questionnaire to 78 samples from total of 196 employees in the Travel Document Management and Analysis Work Unit at the Directorate of Immigration Traffic. Data analysis using SmartPLS. The results of the study show internal control system and good government governance significant effect on the control of budget abuse. In addition, the control of budget abuse also has a significant effect on public accountability.

Abstract

Information technology has grown rapidly; one of the industry’s products in the trend in Indonesia is e-wallet, such as OVO and DANA. This research study aims to find out the empirical evidences regarding the perceived risks, reputations, service features, and promotions on the intention to use e-wallet with experiences as the moderating variable. The data used in this research is primary data obtained from online questionnaire sent to 160 respondents – university students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Indonesia, selected by using purposive sampling method. Data analysis is carried out using multiple regression. The research findings reveal that reputations and service features have a positive and significant influence on the intention to use e-wallet, while perceived risks and promotions do not influence the intention to use e-wallet. Furthermore, experiences do not influence of perceived risks, reputations, service features, and promotions on the intention to use e-wallet.

Abstract

Go-Pay is one of the popular FinTech services in Indonesia. This research aims to identify the Go-Pay service's impact on net benefits influenced by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, comfort, information quality, security, trust, and internet connection quality. This research used a quantitative method to collect 220 data by distributing a questionnaire through Google Form and analyzing them using SmartPLS 3.3. The result shows that comfort, information quality, and perceived ease of use significantly impact the perceived usefulness. In contrast, internet connection quality, trust and security were proved to have no significant impact on the perceived usefulness. Comfort, information quality, trust, internet connection quality had a significant impact on the perceived ease of use. However, security had no significant impact on perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had a significant impact on net benefits. This research can use as a decision-making strategy for Go-Jek as a company concerning the success of Go-Pay service.
