Abstract

Education is an effort to give informations which is expected to improve client’s self efficacy that is able to change client’s behavior to relieve joint pain faster. Furthermore, education that will be given to relieve joint pain and mobilization is warm compress and gymnastic for elderly. This research uses quasi-experiment with control group design as a method. This research intervenes gymnastic and warm compress for elderly. The sample of this research itself is the elderly who have mild to moderate joint pain through strategic sampling, purposive sampling and the sample size will use two different means test formula (Lemeshow, Holmer, Klar & L Wanga, 2009). The sample in this research consists of two group, i.e., intervention group which has 40 people and control group which has 40 people. This research uses self-efficacy questionnaire for the elderly in relieving pain and improving mobilization. The result of this research uses bivariate hypothesis test that shows education of gymnastic for elderly and warm compress is more to affect the self-efficacy of the pain and mobilization.

Abstract

Anxiety in preoperative patients with Sectio Caesarea is a specific anxiety, namely concern about operating procedures, anesthesia procedures, information deficits, and concerns about family financial problems, concerns about themselves and the baby to be born. Music is applied into therapy, because music can restore, and maintain physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health. The provision of classical music therapy can releases pain and reduces stress levels, so that it can cause a decrease in anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Beethoven classical music therapy to reduce anxiety in cesarean section. This study used a pre-experimental design with the design of two group control interventions. The number of samples in this study were 10 people each in the intervention and control groups. Sampling is done using accidental techniques. Data analysis using the t-dependent test. The t-dependent statistical test results can be concluded that there is a significant influence of classical music therapy to reduce anxiety in cesarean section delivery mothers in the intervention and control groups (P = 0.041). From the results of this study it is known that Beethoven classical music therapy is effective for reducing anxiety, so that nurses can apply classical music therapy in providing care to cesarean section mothers.

Abstract

Hypertension is one type of non-communicable disease, which is increasing every year. Hypertension is a condition where systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and / or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. Today the treatment of a disease including hypertension has been widely modified between pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological therapies currently used is autogenic relaxation. Autogenic relaxation technique is one of the relaxation techniques that comes from ourselves in the form of words or short sentences or thoughts that can make the mind calm. Autogenic relaxation is done by imagining yourself in a state of peace and calm, focusing on regulating your breath and heartbeat. This study aims to determine the effect of autogenic relaxation on anxiety levels and changes in blood pressure in patients with hypertension history at Cipayung Health Center, East Jakarta. The research design used was a Quasi-experimental research design. The number of research samples is 58 respondents. The results showed that there were differences in systolic blood pressure (p = 0.000) and the anxiety level of respondents (p = 0.000) after autogenic relaxation interventions were performed.

Abstract

Psychoeducation is the provision of information about managing disease and the psychological aspects of patients. Psychoeducation teaches someone about a problem so they can reduce the stress associated with the problem. Relaxation can reduce muscle tension, saturation and anxiety so as to prevent the increase in pain stimuli and can help hypertensive patients to reduce anxiety and strengthen individual coping. This study aims to determine the effect of psychoeducation on the knowledge and anxiety level of patients with hypertension. The study design was a quasi-experimental pre-post test with control group psychoeducation intervention with a sample of 80 people. The results were significant differences in the knowledge of patients before and after the intervention group (p value knowledge = 0.013), whereas in the control group there was no difference (p value = 0.770). The conclusion is obtained that psychoeducation can improve the knowledge of patients with hypertension, so that it is expected to be one form of intervention that can be applied to the community in the Cipayung District area.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition of systolic pressure above 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure above 90 mmHg. Hypertension can be prevented by controlling a healthy lifestyle including sleep habits, eating habits, weight control, not smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages, exercising regularly and skillfully in managing stress. Efforts to control a healthy lifestyle by providing education. This study aims to determine the effect of healthy lifestyle education on early prevention of hypertension in adolescents. The study design used a quasi experiment pre-post test with control group. The study sample in the intervention group and the control group were 68 respondents. The sampling technique is by purposive sampling. The results showed that the respondents were on average 15 years old and most of the respondents were male in both the intervention group and the control group. Most respondents in the intervention group did not have a family history of hypertension, while in the control group most of the respondents had a history of hypertension from father or mother. There were significant differences in educating healthy lifestyles on changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group, whereas in the control group there were no significant differences.

Abstract

Stroke cases in Indonesia are increasing rapidly, stroke sufferers are not only old but also young. Riskesdas (2013) described the highest Stroke prevalence in North Sulawesi (10.8 ‰), followed by DI Yogyakarta (10.3 ‰), Bangka Belitung and DKI Jakarta, 9.7 per mile respectively. Post-stroke patients have an impact on the lives of patients, because individuals cannot do many things and achieve the best things in their lives, unable to fulfill their development tasks, unable to carry out activities to meet their needs and also interfere with the community in their environment. The purpose of the study was to get a description of the determinant factors of self-acceptance of patients with limited mobility due to stroke. With Research Design: Descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach, Population of patients who have a stroke. The sample in this study were: post-stroke patients who experienced limited mobility. Research Location: in the area of ​​Cipayung Subdistrict, period with data collection techniques: Disseminating research instruments, Analysis of data: Univariate, Bivariate and Multivariate Analysis The results of this study concluded that patients with good spiritual levels contributed 5 times better than stroke patients with self spiritual low

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is one of the most common disorders in women. Severe symptoms of PMS can cause absenteeism at school or at work. Improving your lifestyle by increasing physical activity and a healthy diet can reduce the occurrence of PMS. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of Medan Vocational High School students about PMS. Research was conducted from January to July 2017. The number of research samples was 86 people. Sampling was done in Accidental Sampling. Data is obtained by filling out questionnaires and descriptive research methods. The results of the study found that most of the respondents' level of knowledge was good at 64.0%, the source of information about 50% PMS came from health workers. 76% of female students have good knowledge about preventive measures against PMS. The results of the study show that with good knowledge, the PMS problem can be overcome
